11 Chapter 10 - Yasopp

It has already been 3 days since we've last docked on Gecko island. After the eventful first day, there was no other trouble. Life in the village was pretty peaceful.

We spent our days partying and having fun with the villagers. At first they were wary of us, but after seeing the joyous atmosphere that followed wherever I went. They slowly warmed up to us.

"Drink! Drink! Drink!" The crowd shouted as I was now having a drinking contest with the village blacksmith.

We each had a barrel in hand as we chugged the booze as if it was merely water.

"Ah!" I exclaimed in relief after finishing my barrel and dropping it on the wooden floor of the bar.

The blacksmith didn't manage to hold his beer as best I did and ended up dropping to the ground after finishing his.

"Hahahahaha! Got…*hiccup* Got you sucker!" I exclaimed in joy.

The crowd at the bar started cheering me on. They picked me up and started throwing me up and down in celebration as many had bet on me and made a decent amount of cash from our little contest.

Unlike me, who had been the life of the party ever since it started Mihawk preferred drinking in peace. He had his trusty sword on his back and a wine glass in his hand as he simply observed the contest with an easy going smile.

Suddenly the door to the bar was kicked open, and a clearly agitated villager walked in with fear in his eyes.

"Pirates are coming!" He shouted.

In an instant I was dropped to the ground by the villager as they all started running away looking for a place to hide.

My head harshly struck the ground as I dazedly stood up still pretty drunk from the drinking contest.

"*Hiccup* Whe..Where are you guys going?" I muttered drunkenly.

"Didn't you hear? Quickly go hide somewhere Pirates are coming!" One of the villager shouted.

"P..Pirates, *Hiccup* don't worry I Sinbad will deal with them!" I exclaimed before drunkenly walking out of the pub.

Mihawk sighed seeing my drunken display and silently followed in case he had to pull me out of some trouble.

By curiosity, Yasopp who had been present at the bar observing Sinbad since their last encounter. Decided to tag along to see what was going to happen.

Some of the more brave villagers took out their hay forks, sticks and torches and followed after me. All intending to stop the pirates from wreaking their homes.

After a couple of minutes of walking to the shore, I spotted the large pirate ship that was currently heading for the docks.

The ship was easily 100 times the size of ours and sported a pirate skull with two spears going through it as a Jolly Roger.

Without any restraint I simply pointed my arm forward and drunkenly pointed at the approaching Galleon.

In flash of lightning and thunderous rumble that shook the whole island. A large lightning beam left my palm and completely disintegrated the giant ship and every man on board.

A large explosion soon followed, the wind pressure that followed pushed every onlookers hair backward as they stood shell shocked at what transpired. The massive explosion, was so powerful it shook the ground we were standing on and if aimed at Syrup Village no one doubted it would completely destroy it.

For the first time I didn't hold back while casting my lightning.

I had casted what can be referred to as 'the biggest lightning in the history of lightnings.'

"And you were saying to rob them first before destroying their ships." Mihawk muttered.

I purposefully ignored his comment and dusted my hands clean as if I had just finished a hard day of work, I turned around to the onlooking crowd. "Let's get back to the party, the day is still young!" I exclaimed joyously, it took a couple minutes for the villagers to get their bearings back but slowly they all started cheering me on.

"Sinbad! Sinbad! Sinbad!" They all hailed my name as we walked back to the bar.

This time around a strange thing happened, Yasopp who had not talked to me since I asked him to join. Suddenly accosted me at the bar.

"So Sinbad? What are you exactly some type of god or devil?" He asked while holding a pint of booze in his hand.

"Hahahaha! What are you talking about? I'm no god or devil, I'm a simple man with a dream. A true adventurer of the sea!" I exclaimed happily, still as drunk as earlier.

"A man with a dream." Yasopp muttered out loud, thinking about his own dreams and ambitions.

"Yup!" I exclaimed.

"Hey let's get some music in here!" Shouted one of the drunken villagers.

"Aye!" Shouted another.

"~Binkusu no sake wo, ~todoke ni yuku yo, …"

Soon enough everyone started singing and dancing leaving Yasopp lost in his thoughts.

Waking up in an unfamiliar room, I looked around me and found 2 villager girls in bed with me.

I didn't remember their name or what exactly happened but seeing their naked figure and mine. I didn't need to be a detective to understand what transpired.

Standing up cautiously to not wake any of them up. I quickly put my clothes back on and jumped out of the bedroom window.

"So you're finally awake." Asked a voice from behind me as soon as my feet landed on the ground.

Looking behind me, I spotted Mihawk seated at a table under the window. He had a complete breakfast on the table and was eating leisurely.

"Yeah sorry about that, let's get going we've already spent four days in this island. We can't waste anymore time here." I said.

"What about Yasopp?" He asked.

"Don't worry about that. I'm sure he'll be joining us soon." I said before turning around and walking in direction of our docked ship.

As we were leisurely walking through the forest, I spotted a man leaning on a tree. He had a bag around his shoulder and his usual 3 guns strapped to his body.

"So you decided to join us?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Yup, the call of the sea is simply too strong for me to resist." He replied back with a wide grin.

"Hahahaha!"

"Wahahaha!"

"Yahahaha!"

Yasopp , Mihawk and I all laughed joyously while walking toward our small ship.
