1 The Advanture of Princess Mara in Parallel World

"Yiro!"

"Yiro!"

"Yiroo!"

The faint sound that sounded in the middle of the night wind made Yiro woke up from his deep sleep. The mixed-blood Persian and bobcat gasped in surprise when its tail touched the icy puddle. Yiro immediately jumped up in shocked and shouted, "Miaawwww! Where am I?"

Yiro looked around in confusion. "Why am I here? Where is Princess Mara? Why am I not on top of my basket in Princess Mara's bedroom?"

Yiro glanced around in the dim night light. The cold wind blew and brought a drizzle, so Yiro's white and brown fur became wet.

"Brrrr..." Yiro, who was allergic to cold, was shivering and sneezing." Hatchimmm!"

"Yiro!" the call sounded again. Yiro straightened its ears. Its long tail curled upwards. Its plump body curled up in a standby position. Yiro's eyes which were yellow like a bobcat, shone in the darkness.

Yiro is a mixed-blood cat who has lived in the palace of the Eurasia Kingdom since she was a baby cat. It is said that Yiro has a pure-blood Persian mother who is still a cat noble, while it father is a jungle cat from the Amazon interior. Somehow the story until his father and mother met and married, Yiro never knew because it was abandoned as a kitten. Princess Mara, the heir to the throne of the kingdom of Eurasia, finds little Yiro in her stable and brings Yiro home. Since then, Yiro has become a resident of the royal palace of Eurasia.

"Yiro!" the faint call sounded again. Yiro ventured to walk in the icy puddle. The eyes of the bobcat inherited from his father shone sharply through the darkness.

The night was pitch black, only a little light coming from the crescent moon. Yiro's heart was pounding hard. He was scared. A year of its life was spent as a house cat in the palace, so its courage became less honed. Luckily its instincts were still good, so it kept walking in the direction of the voice calling it.

After walking a few meters away, Yiro found a cave in the nook of a hill. A foul smell hit his nose, mixed with a musty smell that decreased the oxygen in the air drastically. It felt very cramped inside as Yiro walked through the cave close to the walls to avoid running into other creatures. The cave is quite dry and long. A streak of light appeared at its end, indicating the presence of something or someone in it.

Yiro had almost lost its courage. It found a reasonably wide room in the middle of the cave. Stalactites hang from the ceiling, with several lanterns hanging from the ends. In the center of the fireplace was a cauldron hanging from it. The potion of whatever was in the kettle was bubbling and emitting a pungent aroma that would make anyone's stomach queasy.

Yiro was hiding at the foot of the table, not far from the fireplace. Its small body was hidden near a stalagmite. Yiro dared to look in front of him, and Yiro's heart felt like it was going to break at sight.

An ugly witch with a thin, wrinkled face and a crooked nose was cooking something in her cauldron. Meanwhile, a small white cat floundered in the Witch's grip. The cat's moans were very pitiful, and sad Yiro's heart moved to help the little cat escape.

"Hhh…only one more ingredient for my ultimate potion. The heart of a mixed-blood cat, a descendant of the Persian cat with the Amazon jungle cat. It's a bit hard to find. Hopefully, the cat I caught is a mixed-blood cat like I want it to be."

The Witch went to check her potion book, a large old book on the table. She threw the cat he had been holding in his hands into a wooden vat of wine and put the lid on it.

"Miaaawww," the cat in the barrel meowed sadly. Its voice was muffled because the barrel was tightly closed.

Yiro shifted to the side as the Witch passed by it. Yiro hastily jumped under the table.

"What's that?" the Witch was stunned for a moment, "I seem to see something moving around here."

A moment later, the Witch poked his head under the table. Yiro shivered. It almost got caught if there weren't many dead cats nearby. Yiro hastily lay down and pretended to be one of the carcasses.

Yiro's tears fell at sight under the table. There were at least a dozen dead cats there. Its corpses were intact because the temperature in the cave was as cold as the refrigerator in the palace kitchen.

"Huh! There was still one more ingredient missing for King Matthew's superpower spell. Besides the cat's heart, I also need purple amethyst shoots. Damn, there's still something missing. I had to go again."

The Witch spoke to herself, then took her hat. The black conical hat was dirty and full of patches.

Yiro was relieved to know that the Witch was leaving. So it would have time to save the little cat in the barrel.

A few minutes later, there was nothing but a cat's whimper and fire crackling in the fireplace—the gurgling sound of potions in the Witch's cauldron.

Yiro peeked a little from behind the table mat, which had no clear color. Quiet. It seemed the Witch had already left.

Yiro sneaked out and looked around. Its little brown and white striped paws tiptoed toward the wine cask, where the Witch had confined the little cat.

But just as Yiro was about to climb the wine barrel, suddenly, the Witch came back!

Yiro's heart felt like it was about to break when the magician almost knew it was around. Yiro hastily slid to the side of the barrel, slightly shielded by the pile of firewood.

The Witch ransacked the room as if looking for something. Yiro froze like a statue, trying not to move so as not to be caught by the Witch.

"Where's my broom?" cried the Witch as she again ransacked the place. A teapot toppled over, spilling a thick, sticky liquid onto the cave floor. The smell was so strong that it made Yiro desperately hold back a sneeze.

"My broom!" groaned the Witch again, kicking the teapot in annoyance. The teapot rolled into a corner and hit the cave wall, making a loud 'clank' sound.

"Oh, there he is! Almost turned into firewood," the Witch exclaimed happily as he drew closer to where Yiro was hiding. With horror, Yiro looked at its feet. What it thought was the firewood turned out to be the Witch's broomstick. And unfortunately, the broom was hiding right in front of it!

If the Witch took the broom, it was sure that the Witch would see Yiro.
