18 Chapter 18

After going through the room of dirty sewer water filled with creatures that the girls took to calling G-slugs, the party of four girls continued going forward in their hurry to get to Sherry and Hope.

It hasn't been easy since the sewers were massive and for some reason, they needed to open a lot of the doors down there by looking for the right keys and tools first.

It reminded the girls a lot of the police station which ended up annoying them quite a bit since they didn't want to waste too much time going around all over the place looking for even more keys or what not.

One part that really annoyed them was when they had to collect some odd chess-like fuses that they needed in order to open a series of doors which to them was a big waste of time, they bowed to punch whoever made all of this in the face if they ever meet them still they were able to collect all the fuses and take them with them.

However they were very annoyed now and the zombies and creatures that got in their way took the brunt of their ire, Morgan would backhand them out of her way so hard that they would become paste on the walls.

Karin's arm would blur with how fast she was swinging her zanpakutō, any zombies or creatures in her way would suddenly fall apart sliced to pieces.

Yuzu would snipe everything that so much twitch, no mutated creature was spared and even Claire became a bit ruthless, especially when she found a new weapon.

It came as a bit of a surprise to find a spark shot but Claire wasn't going to complain either and ended up using it quite often to deal with any creature who got in her way and thanks to Morgan who could use lightning, she could charge the spark shot in seconds.

So she didn't even need to worry about running out of shots with the spark shot and used it the most to save ammo for her other weapons.

However, the girls were still careful not to accidentally destroy something important to the structure of the sewers in their annoyance, being under tons of concrete and metal meant that Morgan, Yuzu, and Karin had to always watch their attacks.

And even though they were pretty annoyed they still needed to not even destroy the doors to keep the movement of the creatures in control, at least for Claire's and Sherry's safety that is.

So with all of that in mind, they continued moving forward as fast as they could despite all the weird puzzles and horrible creatures that really wanted to get in their way for some reason.

It took them far longer than they would have wished and even though they found a lot of ammo and other stuff for Claire they still feel pressured to keep moving, at some point they even found a suppressor for her submachine gun, but still, it felt like a chore to do all of that but eventually, they got everything ready to get to Sherry and Hope after going all over the sewers and all the way around back to where they had seen them in the soundproofed room.

Thanks to some notes they found in that room they knew they needed the chess-like fuses to turn on the fuse boxes in this room and luckily they had them all, it certainly was a trip but at least they got them.

Claire put the chess-like fuses in the fuse boxes they belong to according to the instructions they found on the notes, as soon as she finished the door locking their way to Sherry and Hope opened, and for the first time in a while, Claire smiled "Alright, Sherry... we're on the way".

Morgan smiled and nodded "It's about time! That took way too long... what is it with this city and its need to make everything so complicated?".

Yuzu sighed and shook her head "Yeah... who has so much time in their hands to design all of this? some of the things we had to get not only at the police station but here in these sewers seemed completely unnecessary!".

Karin nodded "I wanted to so badly destroy every door in this sewer! but Hope would have scolded me for being to reckless and that should only happen to Morgan~".

Morgan gave Karin a look of utter betrayal "Hey! Why only me? and Hope doesn't scold me all the time! You make it sound like I'm always getting into trouble or something...".

Morgan sweatdropped when Yuzu, Karin, and even Claire deadpanned at her "... Alright fine! Meanies! See if I let any of you eat my snacks and food next time hmph!".

Claire, Yuzu, and Karin giggled at Morgan's expense but then they all smiled at her fondly, she might be a little wild and trouble-prone but they love her nonetheless.

Morgan sighed and then grinned at her friends "Come on let's get Sherry and Hope and get out of this sewer!".

Everyone nodded and then got ready for the next part of their quest to get to Sherry and Hope.

The girls went through the new open door and followed the corridor until they found a massive steel gate that led to the chamber where Sherry and Hope were trapped in, Morgan pulled the lever closed by but it didn't do anything "Hm? Looks like the power must be out".

Karin looked around "Let's have a quick look around here, there has to be a fuse box or something around".

Everyone nodded and to make things quicker everyone split up to see what they can find around the place, of course, they found the usual things like ammo and herbs which they picked up but Yuzu found a Fuse box.

Yuzu smiled and immediately flipped the switches in the fuse box to get the power running throughout the area once again, the steel gate made a buzzing sound alerting everyone that it was on once again.

Yuzu smiled and then began to walk back to the the steel gate knowing that everyone would be there soon but a big claw suddenly stabbed through the ceiling right above her.

Luckily Yuzu felt the attack coming and used hirenkyaku to blur out of the way, however, the claw hit a gas pipe and caused a fire in the room which blocked the entrance.

Which annoyed Yuzu quite a bit, she summoned her black reishi bow and got ready to teach whatever had attacked her a lesson.

The creature tried to grab and attacked her through the ceiling a couple of times but Yuzu kept using her quincy high movement technique and easily avoided any attack coming her way until the creature seemingly got tired and then crashed down on a room to the side and broke in through a metal gate into the room Yuzu is in.

Once the creature got inside Yuzu could see that it was William, the G-Creature howled and then launched itself towards Yuzu in an attempt to impale her with his claw but Yuzu grinned at the creature.

Suddenly Morgan appeared in a blur and punched the G-Creature away, Karin and Claire jumped through the flames and arrived in the room, soon after there was a big explosion, and the entrance they jumped out off was covered in rock, metal, and flames.

William who was sent crashing through a wall and into a hallway howled in rage but a Black Reishi Arrow hit him on the chest and blasted a hole through them but it instantly began to heal soon after.

Karin blurred in front of the G-Creature and slashed its chest open and few times before kicking it away from her but once again the G-Creature began to heal at an alarming rate.

Morgan frowned "... it seems like our fight with it accelerated its evolution way faster than predicted to match our power... we're going to have to take it up a notch guys otherwise this guy might become too difficult to take down".

The girls nodded and roared as they powered up a bit more in order to face against the evolved G-Creature known as William, Morgan once again summoned her Balance Breaker while Yuzu and Karin empowered their weapons.

Karin with her Zanpakutō in its Shikai form rushed forward and slashed at the G-Creature, as soon as the serrated edge of Fugetsu slashed at William's body it sent it flying back with a huge blast of wind.

Yuzu didn't even wait for the G-Creature to land on the ground, she quickly jumped onto the ceiling and stood there surprising Claire as she began to rain down black reishi arrows at the G-Creature in mid-air.

William howled in pain as it crashed on the floor while being barraged by quincy arrows, Morgan turn her head towards Claire "Keep moving forward and hit him with everything you have Claire, the healing factor of this thing is far stronger than its offspring so we have to keep piling up damage!".

Claire nodded and took off running while following the corridor to find a good shooting spot while Morgan took off flying with her repulsors toward the G-Creature.

Claire kept running through the corridor as fast as she could while she heard blasts, roars of battle, and howls of pain echo around the place "... Jeez the girls are really going at it... but that just shows how dangerous the situation is with this Creature, just how much has it evolve that the girls have to fight at this level?".

Eventually, Claire reached a big open space and ran towards the end of it where she found a mechanism, she looked around and saw some big containers hanging around so guessing that the mechanism was for moving them she decided to turn it on.

She was proven right as the mechanism began to do its work and move away from the big metal container freeing a lot more space, she smiled knowing that this is exactly what they needed to take care of the G-Creature.

So Claire turned her head towards where she saw Morgan flying around and blasting small orbs of energy at the G-Creature "Morgan! Over here!".

Morgan heard Claire and turned around towards her, she saw Claire waving at her with both arms and pointing at the big space in front of her, Morgan nodded to her and then flew down towards the G-Creature.

Meanwhile, Claire began to get ready by grabbing her grenade launcher and making sure it was fully loaded, suddenly the G-Creature crash-landed a fair distance away from her and the girls appeared in front of her in blurs.

Morgan growled as her Dragonic Ironman helmet opened up "His healing factor and durability have gone off the charts, hit him hard but be careful where you attack hits, as you saw we can cause a big explosion and that wouldn't be good for Claire and Sherry!".

Everyone nodded as the G-Creature stood up and roared in rage, Karin and Morgan launched themselves at the monster at high speed, Morgan appeared above William and spin kicked him in the side of his head causing his mutated head to whip to the side.

Karin appeared in front of the G-Creature and slashed upwards cutting open the monster's abdomen, Yuzu prepared a black reishi arrow and turned her gaze towards Claire "Aim for the eye! it's a weakness you can exploit Claire!".

Yuzu then let loose her black reishi arrows and hit the G-Creature blasting it off it's feet and onto the ground, Claire watched as the monster tried to quickly get up but she shot him with a Flame round causing it to howl in pain once more.

She quickly unloaded two more flame rounds onto the G-Creature but the creature suddenly stood up still on fire and launched itself towards Claire who backpedaled as fast as she could to avoid getting caught by the G-Creature.

But before he could even reach for Claire both Morgan and Karin appeared in front of him, Karin cut off the creature's legs while Morgan kicked it in the chest sending the G-Creature flying back.

The creature bounced off the ground once and then stopped itself from falling off the edge of the platform by stabbing its massive claw into the ground.

His legs regenerated and then it quickly stood up and took off running towards the girls, he then swung its claw at them but Morgan caught its claw with one hand "You're very persistent!".

Morgan then lifted her armored hand and decided to try one of the techniques she learned from her Uncle Naruto.

Claire gaped as she watched an orb of Crimson and Green energy suddenly begin to form on top of Morgan's hand while spinning in all directions.

The force of whatever Morgan was doing was so strong that Karin had to grab onto Claire so she wouldn't be sent flying while Morgan prevented the G-Creature from getting away by holding its claw tightly.

The Creature must have sensed it was in danger because it began to desperately try to pull away from Morgan but the little Stark had him on a tight hold.

Morgan then grinned and once her technique finished forming she then called out its name "Crimson Dragon Rasengan!" Morgan then jabbed the Crimson Red Rasengan into the G-Creature's body.

The creature began to howl in pain as Morgan's Rasengan dug into its body until Morgan let go of its claw, at this point the Rasengan detonated and engulfed the G-Creature's body.

The G-Creature continued to howl and roar in pain while fighting the force of the Rasengan but then it finally lost the battle and was sent flying back and out of the platform until it crashed against the wall on the other side.

The creature ended up with its body embedded into the walk and severally damaged but even from afar the girls could see it was already slowly healing, the G-Creature then twitch and suddenly fell into the darkness from below the platform.

Claire sighed and shook her head "That's not the last time we'll see that thing right?".

Morgan powered down and her Balance Breaker dissipated in wisps of red energy, she turned to look towards Claire and shook her head "Yeah we'll see it again but the injuries we gave him will take a while to recover, it seems like the Rasengan was able to overwhelm its healing factor".

Karin turned her zanpakutō back into its sealed state and sighed "That thing was annoying and its healing factor was quite strong... the next time we see it, it's going to be even stronger still".

Yuzu walked up to everyone and frowned "We might have to have Hope blast it with cosmic fire next time, I doubt it will be able to continue healing after that".

Morgan crossed her arms and hummed "Well since it's not a supernatural type of healing factor Hope's flames might be able to fully destroy it, if we have to then we'll just go all out though I'm pretty sure the city won't survive that battle...".

Claire sweatdropped "That's some scary things you're saying Morgan... can you really destroy cities just like that?"

Morgan nodded "Yeah I can, in fact, I'm pretty much capable of destroying whole continents with a single attack, and if I have to a whole planet as well though I might have to Boost a couple of times".

Karin then hummed "I think I can also destroy a city if I were to use a full blast of black wind with Fugetsu, I don't think I'm at a level where I can destroy a continent or a planet though".

Yuzu nodded "Me too if I charge a lot of reishi and rain down a whole bunch of my black reishi arrows I might destroy a city, I definitely can't destroy a continent much less a planet though, Quincy's techniques are more about precision, and control than brute force".

Claire nervously laughed "Alright leaving the scary talk about destroying continents and planets aside, how long do you guys think before we see William again".

Morgan scratch her head "I really don't know... it will take him a while to recover from my Rasengan since I used a bit of piercing on it".

Claire nodded and then began to reload her weapons sigh... I feel bad for Sherry, this whole thing is taking longer than it should".

The girls nodded, and Yuzu then smiled "Don't worry, Hope is with her and I'm sure she'll keep her safe but your right we should hurry".

Everything nodded and after Claire finished loading all her weapons and getting ready they all walked towards the only entrance in the area and followed the corridor behind it hoping it takes them back to the elevator they left behind.

Turns out that the corridor led right around and close to the steel gate the girls needed to open to get to Sherry and Hope, this made them smile and cheer knowing that they could finally reunite with their friends.

So Claire wasted no time and pulled the lever, this time the gate immediately began to open, and as soon as it did the girls began to hear Annette speaking through the speaker again "Sherry? Mommy's here... Sherry? Sherry can you hear me?".

The fact that Sherry wasn't answering back to her mother made everyone worry as soon as the steel gate fully opened the girls immediately went inside to see what was going on.

As soon as they entered they saw that the whole place was destroyed, there were burns and holes everywhere and flames quietly flickering around, Claire immediately panicked "Sherry! Hope! Where are you! Are you okay!?".

Morgan frowned but then looked up and smiled "Claire! Above us!".

Claire looked up and saw both Hope and Sherry flying above and looking down at them with happy smiles on their faces, Claire brightly smiled at them "Sherry! Hope! You're both alright!".

Sherry and Hope then floated down and immediately hugged Claire who hugged them back tightly glad that the girls were okay while Morgan, Yuzu, and Karin smiled at them.

Meanwhile, Annette was left speechless by what she just saw, when William suddenly appeared inside the chamber where Sherry and that unknown girl were, she had feared for her daughter.

Especially when explosions, flames, and fighting sounds began to echo throughout the room and through the speakers, it was made worse when she was unable to see what was happening because of the flashes of fire and light.

But now she was watching her daughter and the unknown girls float down from the ceiling like it was the simplest thing in the world.

{Just what was going on here?} was the thought running through Annette's mind as she watched her daughter hug Claire.

Sherry hugged Claire tightly as Claire hugged her back just as tight "Claire! You really came! All of you really came for me!".

Claire let go of Sherry and then smiled at her "Of course, I came for you and Hope, I care about you guys and I'll make sure you're always safe, all of us we'll make sure".

Sherry teared up and then turned to everyone who smiled and nodded at her, Morgan walked up to both Claire and Sherry while Hope walked up to her side already knowing what she was going to say, Morgan then smiled at Sherry "We of the Potter Household always protect our friends and loved ones Sherry, you will never have to feel lonely again! I'm afraid you're stuck with us for the rest of your life~".

Sherry's eyes began to water as tears finally began to drop, she then hugged Morgan who giggled and hugged her back, Karin and Yuzu then jumped in as well forming a big group hug, Claire smiled and then turned towards Hope "Sorry it took us a while to get here".

Hope smiled and then shook her head "Don't worry, I was keeping an eye on all of you so I know exactly what all of you did to get here".

Claire giggled and then grinned at Hope "Let me guess, Magic~".

Hope grinned as well and then nodded "That's right! More specifically a monitoring spell~".

Morgan then let go of the group hug and turned her head towards Hope "But what happened here?".

Hope then frowned "That creature we fought a while ago before we met with Sherry showed up, you know the one with the big eye on its shoulder and well I fought him off though it was hard to fight him in this small room... and it seemed oddly interested in Sherry too so I had to keep him away from her as well".

Morgan nodded "I take it he got away from you right because he attacked us before we got here".

Hope nodded "Yeah... it suddenly left after I burned him a couple of times with flame bullets, that thing's healing factor has become stronger and I was about to blast him with cosmic fire but I guess he sensed you guys out there and went to deal with you guys".

Sherry then let go of Karin and Yuzu and nodded "Yeah! Hope said to wait in here for you guys to take care of it and so we watched you fight it with all those cool new things! It was very exciting!".

Claire, Morgan, Yuzu, and Karin smiled at Sherry happy to see her excited instead of sad, Hope smiled and then turned towards Claire "I also saw that it survived right?".

Claire nodded "Yeah, according to some notes we found that creature can evolve and adapt depending on what he survives so the next time we see it, it's going to be more powerful...".

Hope frowned and then turned towards Morgan who nodded at her "Looks like we'll need to stop holding back which means that we'll have to be careful with both you Claire and Sherry... This city will be destroyed by us by the end of it all".

Claire nodded while Sherry looked mighty awed at the fact that Morgan and Hope will stop holding back, Yuzu then hummed "Well if it comes to that then you can leave Sherry and Claire to me and Karin, we'll make sure they're safe".

Hope and Morgan nodded to Yuzu and smiled knowing the twins will take care of their friends, Claire then nodded to herself and turned towards the entrance of the chamber "Then we need to get out of this city first".

Everyone turned towards the entrance and nodded wanting to get out of this city as soon as possible, Claire smiled at the girls and then began to walk towards the gate.

But Annette's voice stopped everyone mid-step "What are you doing!?".

Everyone looked up towards the camera pointing at them except Sherry who looked down, Claire frowned "I'm doing what you should have done! I'm taking Sherry away from this place and this city!".

Sherry looked up at Claire and stared at her with wide eyes, Morgan and Hope grabbed her hands to show her that they were there for her, meanwhile, Annette spoke up through the speakers again "You don't understand! I have to stop William! I have to make things right!".

Morgan narrowed her eyes and then spoke up with clear aggravation in her voice which surprised everyone "Your first priority is Sherry! You're her mommy! Her family and family always come first!".

Annette stayed silent for a second before she spoke up again "... You're just a child, what do you know or understand of what is going on here... I'm trying to keep Sherry sa-".

But Morgan was now very angry and everyone knows you don't make a dragon angry and so she cut off Annette mid-sentence "Shut up... it's you who doesn't understand... no mommy should be as cold and uncaring as you... I might be a child but even I know that you should put Sherry happiness above all else".

Morgan then raised her hand and began to gather an enormous amount of energy in her hands, Hope's eyes widen in surprise, and she quickly raised a barrier around everyone.

Annette who was watching all of this, was gasping at what she was seeing, Morgan just glared at her through the monitor and then said one more thing "You worry about your precious little monster!... Well take care of Sherry ourselves! 'Dragon Shot!'".

Morgan fired off a massive orb of energy which not only destroyed the camera but kept going up and up through cement and metal until it actually came out of the ground and flew all the way to the sky where it violently exploded in the sky above Raccoon City.

Annette screamed as the entire city shook, while Claire and Sherry gaped having never seen such a thing in their lives, Hope sighed but then smiled at her best friend.

She knew that Morgan is and will always be a kind and caring girl so Sherry's mom's attitude and cold demeanor must have really angered her, especially since Morgan has never seen a mother being like that to their child.

She and Morgan were loved by everyone and so they never got to experience the same thing as Sherry, she knew about it because of her life as the Phoenix Force but Morgan was in a different situation altogether.

Morgan huffed and as soon as the ground stopped shaking she turned her head towards her friends "Sorry guys but the way she was speaking made me angry...".

Claire and Sherry stared at Morgan and they could clearly see she was rightfully angry for Sherry something that made her happy, Claire smiled and then hugged Morgan "It's alright Morgan, the way she treated Sherry made me angry too".

Sherry hugged Morgan as well and nodded "Thank you for caring so much about me Morgan, you're the best".

Morgan cheered up and gave them both a big bright smile "Alright then let's get out of here!".

Hope then interrupted Morgan before she could even take a step "Let's just hope that little attack of yours didn't destroy anything important".

Morgan sweatdropped and began to nervously laugh while scratching her head in embarrassment, the girls found it funny and began to laugh at the expense of Morgan who pouted.

Now that everyone was now more or less calm and ready to move on they all got ready and then left the chamber to go about finding some way to leave the city.

As everyone was walking through the corridor back to where the reinforced glass room was located, Morgan suddenly raised a good question "Sooo where exactly are we going anyways?".

Everyone suddenly stopped and turned to look at each other until Morgan, Hope, Yuzu, Karin, and Sherry turned their heads towards Claire who jumped a bit at the sudden attention she was getting "M-me? How would I know guys?"

Everyone sweatdropped because Claire raised a good point, Sherry hummed and after a few moments she gave everyone an idea "We can go towards my mom's lab, I've been there before and I remember that it has multiple exits throughout the city, something about making it easy for all the scientists to get in and out through the city... or that's what mom said so anyways".

Claire crossed her arms "But how do we get there? I'm pretty sure it's not that far away from here since I talked to your mom when I woke up after we crashed down here".

Sherry nodded "I remember we took a cable car to get there once but I don't know how to get to it from here".

Morgan then spoke up "A cable car?... I think we saw one not far from here a while ago, I remember it because we all thought it was weird and suspicious that it was down here under the city".

Karin grinned "Oh that's right! we should go check it and see what we can find out".

Everyone nodded, now with a clear goal and plan in their minds they all took off toward where Morgan, Claire, Yuzu, and Karin had seen the cable car a while ago.

It didn't take them long to reach it and as soon as they got close to investigate the cable car, Sherry's bracelet suddenly lit up and the door into the cable car opened up surprising everyone.

Sherry awkwardly laughed "Ah I forgot about that, this bracelet is special since it acts as a sort of key card for the cable cars and the lab...".

Everyone smiled at Sherry and nodded letting her know that it was okay, Yuzu suddenly sighed "Boy I'm glad we don't have to run around all over the place again to look for a key, a switch, or something for the cable car...".

Everyone nodded with Yuzu's sentiment since that seems to be the main theme going on around the city and it has made everything so complicated for them that they rather not have to deal with that sort of this again but knowing their luck with this world it might happen anyways...

Even so, the girls all decided to stop beating around the bush and went inside the cable car, everyone looked around for a bit to make sure it was safe and once they knew it was Yuzu, Karin, Sherry, and Hope took a seat while Morgan and Claire walked towards the control board.

They noticed the lever and guessing that it was to turn the cable car on and make it move Morgan pulled it, and the cable car came to life and began to move as a recorded voice began to play "This tram is headed to NEST... do not exit until final destination".

After the cable car began to move Morgan and Claire smiled at each other and then walked back to the others, they took a seat with everyone else as they began to wait to arrive at their destination.

Sherry looked down and then spoke up "... Guys thank you for being there for me... I don't know what I would have done without all of you".

Everyone smiled, Claire then softly laughed and shook her head "What are you talking about? You were doing just fine before we found you and dragged you into all sorts of trouble~".

Everyone shared a laugh for a few seconds, Morgan then grinned "Yeah! I think we got you infected with the all-powerful Potter luck!".

Hope raised an eyebrow "Well... yeah it sort of seems that way, the Potters have some really odd luck when it comes to getting dragged into dangerous situations".

Yuzu, Karin, Morgan, and Hope laughed while Sherry and Claire smiled in amusement, Sherry then looked up at the ceiling of the cable car "Honestly that doesn't sound to bad, it has been the most exciting time I had in all my life and I was able to meet you all as well, so the Potter luck can't be that bad right?".

Everyone smiled at Sherry and nodded, Claire then snorted in amusement "I don't mind this so-called Potter luck! I don't think me and Sherry would have been able to make it out of the police station and the sewer unharmed without all of you".

The girls smiled at their friends, Sherry then looked towards Hope and decided to ask something she had been curious about for a while "Hope, you said that your daddy is a god right?".

Hope nodded "That's right, well a Dragon God to be specific but a god nonetheless but why?".

Sherry then smiled "Well I was curious if your daddy would answer someone's prayers?".

Hope tilted her head and then hummed as she pondered about Sherry's question for a few moments "Well daddy is connected to God's system which is connected to the Multiverse through him, I had heard him say that he hears people's prayers all the time but he does tend to ignore most of them, he sometimes performs miracles depending on those prayers but that's it".

Claire shook her head "Every time I hear something about your daddy Hope I don't know what to say, it all sounds so crazy and amazing at the same time...".

Hope smiled at Clair while Sherry looked pensive for a while, she then suddenly decided to ask something "Do you think that if I were to pray to him would he hear me?".

Hope stared into Sherry's eyes for a few seconds not really knowing why Sherry wanted to do that but decided to answer her question honestly "I don't know... you can try but I don't know if he's paying attention right now".

Sherry nodded "and how do you pray to your daddy?".

Hope raised an eyebrow but it was Morgan who answer Sherry's question "Ah! You clap your hands three times together and then close your eyes while calling out to him and then you pray to him!".

Sherry smiled at Morgan and nodded to her thankful for the information while Hope, Yuzu, and Karin stared at Morgan intrigued as to how did she know how to pray to Harry.

But before they could ask Morgan about it Sherry clapped her hands three times and then close her eyes "Mr. Harry!...".
