"So..." Bringing her hands behind her back, Saya bowed her body slightly and walked around the group with a smile, as the surrounding wolves became more and more numerous and all seemed to give off a beastly aura that seemed to solidify in the area.

"May I know your name?" Frowning slightly as she felt completely uncomfortable under so many sharp stares, Rias asked cautiously.

"Takagi Saya, but you can call me Saya" After looking at the group for a few seconds, Saya instantly spotted the leader and focused on Rias, then stretched out her hand and introduced herself with a smile.

"Nice to meet you Miss Saya..." Shaking hands, Rias looked sideways and commented "I think we entered the wrong place, I'm sorry for my mistake and as a daughter of the Gremory family I promise to make it up to you."

'Gremory family' With a glint in her eyes as she reviewed some important information, Saya thought 'From the proud tone when talking about the Gremory family, I should think that they are a powerful family with prestige. Considering that this redhead has that aura of nobility surrounding her, I wouldn't be surprised if they own a kingdom or something similar.'

"May I know your name Miss Gremory?"

"Rias, Rias Gremory."

"Since we seem to be the same age, could I call you directly by your name and avoid the honorifics?"

"No problem" Smiling slightly while seeming to have a staring contest with Saya, Rias replied.

"Good" Squinting her eyes with her smile, Saya looked sideways and asked "May I know what you are doing in these parts?"

"We came to look for a familiar for my nobility."

"And you accidentally wandered into our territory" Nodding with understanding, Saya looked at the small dragon on Asia's shoulder and asked "I take it that's the familiar you found today?"

"Yes-"

"O-oppai!" But while the two leaders were conversing with each other, a sudden exclamation attracted everyone's attention, as Issei who had just discovered Kiriko and Rika on the tree, exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the cleavage on the girls' yukatas.

Frowning slightly, Saya stared at Issei silently and muttered inaudibly "I certainly had already forgotten that kind of look... I guess I got too used to it, not everyone is the same."

But Rias being a demon with enhanced senses, obviously heard the murmur beside her, causing her to smile uncomfortably and comment "His heart is good, but... he's very honest with his desires."

"Well... I guess it's better that he shows it directly rather than hiding it in a facade" Thinking for a few seconds, Saya shrugged and continued "Not my problem though"

"So Rias and her nobility..." Looking at the group for a few seconds, Saya continued with a smile "I heard that you guys are devils, right?"

"Yes."

"And where are the horns and wings?"

"We don't have horns, as for wings" Focusing on her back, Rias exposed her small dark wings, causing Saya to raise her eyebrows and nod "They certainly look like demon wings."

Turning her gaze to Rika, Saya smiled and continued "Care for a tour of our territory?"

"I don't think that's necessary, in fact we were just about to leave" Knowing that the more you enter, the more dangerous the situation will be, Rias responded quickly.

"Come on, come on, don't be so stiff" Laughing, Saya wrapped her arm around Rias' arm and looked to the wolves at her side "Come on guys, get back to your business, these are my guests."

"..." Looking at Saya for a few seconds, Wulfgar nodded and growled towards the other wolves, then ran into the forest with the whole group at his back.

"*Cough* Excuse me ma'am, can I ask you something?" looking sideways with some discomfort, Satooji asked cautiously.

"Easy, it's not like I'll kill you for a question" Laughing softly, Saya started dragging Rias towards the forest, causing the young girl to be unable to resist and smiled helplessly.

"That wolf that left... is he the new alpha of the place?"

"The alpha?" Raising her eyebrows, Saya shook her head and continued walking, while Rika and Kiriko at some point disappeared from the area "Not at all, he's just another wolf in the pack."

"I-isn't he the alpha!?" Opening his eyes wide, Satooji asked in disbelief.

"He used to be one of the many alphas in the area, but like the others, they were defeated and forced to join the new pack" Focusing her words on the many former alphas, Saya smiled slightly and commented.

While Saya doesn't want these people to know too much about them, she can easily tell from their actions that this many wolves and the presence of the former alpha has them wary and even scared.

So even if she blurts out a little more information, Saya thinks that it wouldn't be bad if these people thought they were easy to deal with.

Looking sideways, Akeno suddenly interrupted "Those women who were here-"

"My family" Knowing where the question was going, Saya answered, while smiling towards the various wolf families she encountered along the way "Rika and Kiriko, they're not very sociable with strangers and were only here because we ran into you on the way."

"You met us on the way?" raising her eyebrows, Akeno asked.

"In fact if it hadn't been for that loud shout, we would have missed them, at least for a few more minutes" Chuckling, Saya commented, causing the whole group to stare at Issei.

"Saya, may we know where we're going?" After a few seconds of silence, Rias asked.

"You're looking for familiar, aren't you?"

"Yes."

"Then I'll take you to my house so we can negotiate" Showing her teeth, Saya replied.

"Negotiate?" Cocking her head slightly to one side, Rias asked "What shall we negotiate?"

"Obviously for that dragon" Pointing towards the dragon on Asia's shoulder, Saya smiled "You're in our territory and obviously that dragon was our pet, but as I see you like it, I'll let her leave with you after going through a fair trade."

"Your pet?" frowning slightly, Rias continued "Isn't this the forest of relatives to begin with? Are you sure about that? It is my understanding that no one owns anyone in this place unless they sign a contract with them."

"You really think so?" chuckling, Saya turned to Satooji and continued "You seem to be the most experienced in this place, could you explain to him how the territories within this forest work?"

"I-it's normal for each beast to have its own territory, and the stronger it is, the bigger its territory is. Although all that also depends on the familiar's tastes, since, if he doesn't want a territory, he simply subordinates himself to another or finds a peaceful area to rest" Nodding quickly, Satooji explained "So theoretically... everything in this territory, is owned by some beast that took them under its command."

"Including this dragon?" frowning, Rias asked.

"Although it is usually the familiars themselves who choose their owner... yes, you could consider your life as someone else's property if you live here" Thinking for a few seconds, Satooji continued "Keep in mind Miss Rias, that if you invade a familiar's territory and that familiar does not want to suborbinate to you, it will merely depend on the familiar's personality, but you will most likely have to go through a fight where the familiar will seek to expel you from their territory"

"All familiars are so territorial? I didn't know that..."

"Most familiars are territorial, even the weaker ones will seek to have their own territory" Nodding, Satooji continued "But you didn't know? It's normal for every demon that comes to experience it..."

Blushing slightly, Rias murmured "All the familiars we had so far were gifts from my brother..."

"Oh" Nodding with understanding, Satooji continued "Don't be embarrassed Miss Rias, it's quite normal for the nobility to send people to capture familiars for their juniors, even when old devils want new familiars they do the same."

'Nobility among devils... I guess they will have a kingdom... hell?' Listening to everything in silence as they walk, Saya drew a thousand conclusions in her mind, causing the smile on her face to harden in the face of a difficult future.

"Welcome to our humble abode" Looking at the cave in front of her, Saya smiled softly and commented, causing the group to stop looking sideways and focus on what's in front of them.

"A cave?" Cocking her head slightly, Asia murmured.

"You thought it would be a big palace?" chuckling, Saya continued "The owner of this place doesn't enjoy big buildings, he prefers to be in the forest and sleeping in a cave."

"Saya, by the way... may I ask what race you are? I don't feel like you're a demon" Turning her gaze to Saya, Rias asked.

"I'm a simple human" Smiling nonchalantly, Saya entered the cave as the group followed her.

"A human..." Raising her eyebrows, Rias looked at Saya silently for a few seconds, then nodded and turned her gaze towards the cave walls.

Approaching the wall, Akeno reached out her hand and touched the soft, furry skin covering the whole place "This is..."

"Beast skins" Turning her gaze to the wall, Saya continued "That specific one is the skin of a minotaur, a very large one."

"M-minotaur!?" Opening his eyes wide, Satooji quickly approached the skin and looked at it closely "Minotaurs are very difficult to find and even more difficult to kill..."

"Are they strong?" turning his gaze to Satooji, Rias asked curiously.

"At least to the level of a middle-class demon."

"Middle-class demon..." Nodding with some bemusement, Rias thought 'Even Yuuto just reached that level and Akeno already reached the middle stage... but we're still middle class devils."

[A/N: I was looking around a bit at DxD power levels and I didn't really find anything fixed, so I'll use the social level of devils as the power base. Lower class demon, middle class demon, upper class demon, among others. I'll give that introduction in a future chapter but I do it to make it clear what I just said].

Turning his gaze towards the rest of the furs covering all the stone of the place, Rias swallows saliva and looks at the bottom of the cave, noticing that for some reason, it now seems even darker.

"Miss Saya... do you by any chance plan to sell furs?" looking sideways, Satooji asked cautiously.

"Maybe, we have quite a few after all" Gaining a glint in her eyes knowing that they can make money, Saya nodded calmly.

'devils, nobles, familiars, and apparently people who are into getting beasts from this forest...' Blinking as she took in everything she learned today, Saya finally reached the large part the cave and looked at the simple wooden hut inside, then looked sideways to see the man on top of a large pile of animal skins.

Following Saya's gaze, Rias looked up and opened her eyes a little wider, totally amazed by the imposing and indeed beautiful sight.

A long and wild hair, an indifferent and bored look, a chiseled and muscular body, while a large tattoo gives an even more bestial touch to her already unique appearance.

Having nothing but an open yukata covering the lower part of his body and leaving the whole upper part naked, Fenrir rested his head on Shizuka's breasts and let out a big puff of smoke, looking with sharp eyes at the newcomers.

Releasing a puff of smoke, Fenrir looked at Saya and spoke "Your guests?"

Waking up from her stupor upon hearing him speak, Rias quickly analyzed Fenrir's features and followed his gaze to the smiling Shizuka, then looked to the sides and observed the large amount of animal skins in the area 'They seem to be Yokais... but those two women from before... their horns were weird... even one had wings I've never seen before'.
