CHAPTER 1

[FINN POV]

The first thing I felt when waking up was the rocky ground beneath me and the absence of light gives off a kind of cave like feeling to it. I turn my body from my stomach lying position to lay on my back and look up to see around the place and confirm my suspicions yup.. definitely a cave, meh… It's a lot better than where I could have ended up I'm just its happy its not an ocean or a clown party *shiver* any thing but that.

"Hmm I don't remember walking into a cave, the last thing I remember was walking into that portal with Jake then….. OH! Right I need to find Jake, he's probably already looking for me first I need to find a light source, and probably have a weapon in hand then go looking for Jake. Get a weapon."

I then try to get a a light source and a sword from by back pack then I'm hit with the realization that I one, don't have my back pack and two even if I did have my backpack which was highly unlikely the finn sword was still in…

"Yh… I'll just have to be careful and if anything comes my way I'll have to resort to the old ways the old one - two".

Ok..finn mertens you can do this , got to keep my spirits high boiii . I keep walking in the direction my gut is telling me to go and after a while I hear the sound of water hitting rock , a spring? Obviously a spring what else would that sound be, I kept moving forward ,closer and closer the sound got louder and louder until I was face to face with a blinding light obviously not the one we all see at the end of our journey.. no I'm talking about the one you see at the end of a cave although its probably just an extension of the cave that just has light in it, well beggars cant be choosers , I was about to walk out the exit until I heard the sound of a fight. Are they people fighting each other? Should I really go in there without a weapon? i just shrug my shoudlers

"meh heroes don't need swords to do what they do, and like I said before ive just got to stick to ol' reliable plus I can probably get directions from them on the way out of this place"

I just hope Jake's doing okay , I'll find you soon buddy.

I then venture forth into the cave exit.

[JAKE POV]

I feel like I got a hit by a truck was my first thought as I felt my face was planted into the very ground I was lying on. I lie on my side to look at where I am and why its so silent,on my side I see lush leaves from bushes and berries i lie on my back to see the oak trees that seem to be reaching the sky , wait a minute, oak trees?lush leaves? Forest?

" wait I'm in a forest !!!"

how did I even get here? Ok ok … calm down I need to do a quick recap… ok I was running to the portal to finn.. then I grabbed finn's arm then after that.. what happened after that? Its all foggy after that, welp I just gotta find finn. I stand up and say,

"Super doggy hearing activate!!!"

I listen to my nearest surroundings and hear the sound of air being split apart as something is travelling though it causing it to make a loud sound, not really loud to humans but that's not the case for animals if anything it was a rather irritating sound but the issue now is that sound seems to be getting louder and louder as the sound is coming from behind me, I turn by back just to be met face to face with an arrow head.

Which I narrowly dodge by tilting my head to the left ,the arrow then pierces through a tree and gets stuck in to the one after it.

Yeesh.... that was too close for comfort and also note to self never shout abilities out loud and DEFINETLY never do it in unfamiliar places

I listen to my surroundings again and hear nothing after confirming I was safe for now I walk towards the arrow to inspect it.

Maybe I can track the person down with their scent and give em a butt whooping for that arrow I almost lost any eye cause of that!! an eye!!hmm the smell of iron is dangerously heavy on the arrow, blood?

I've got to find finn.

I look forward and all I see is even more forest and a pair of dangerously red gleaming eyes waiting on standby for something, yeesh… yup I'd rather take my chances with the owner of the arrow, plus maybe I can find out where I am after roughing them up a bit with a lil good cop , bad cop act.then I'll find finn after that not before I rough em up, I thought to myself as I chuckle evilly.

"hehe.. yh its payback time"
