" Hey. Wake up, Aguilar ."

The soft murmurs enter his ears. The gentle hand shaking his shoulder forcing him to open his eyes annoyingly.

"What?" Aguilar get up from his desk and looked at his friend, Smith. " School is over. Let's go to arcane. "

Aguilar shook his head. " Sorry, I must go home." After a pause, he said with a faint smile " May be next time."

He packed his backpack and ready to left.

" If you're having a hard time against home you can tell me about it. I'll be willing to help you. Just say the word. You know that I'm your friend, right?"

Aguilar laughed innocently. " Don't worry about my situation. I'll take care myself. I know that it may sound like lies but I'm okay. Thank ."

In truth, Aguilar's family situation was not fine. His father was sucm , abusing his mother day and night, both physically and mentally. But what can Aguilar do. Reporting to the police was foolish idea.

Result? They doesn't know care about it. Saying We have some other juty or some work. He know his father bribed the police. His father is well-known merchant

On the way towards home, he saw lovely family and care they put toward each other.

He feel depressed thinking about it.

" What the fuck wrong with you? You can't even make a dish." Shouted his father, follow by a crushing sound of plate. He immediately rushed toward his father, trying to stop this stupid situation. "Stop." He yelled at his father who is aiming another plate at his mother.

The plate was thrown at his face instead but he quickly catch it. " Bastard." His father kick his torso.

Seeming to ruined his mood, his father left the home. Aguilar tent his mother wound. There were no words spoke among him and his mother. He doesn't care about his mother because this whole family issues started with his mother cheat with collage student. He loathe his mother but she is the one who bring life to him so he had to protect her.

As for the cheating, He doesn't give a shit. He would leave this house by the time he reached appropriate age. He work at the fast food restaurant, tring to save money for his college. His friend smith says that his family can provide with school loans but he doesn't want attachment in his life. If he dies who will take care of the loans. May be someday, he will try to end his life. Who's know? May be he'll find reason to live. For now he just trying to live to find the purpose to exist.

" Have a nice day, Mrs.marry." Aguilar say goodbye to customer. His vision burred and his heart plumped like he was running marathon.

The blood flow through his nose. "Shit!" He pick the tissue in his pocket and run towards the backdoor. His coworker saw the blood and said worried. " Hey, are you good. May be you should rest. You seem tired today. "

Aguilar never get sick. He was good at athletic. He trained his body. " Yeah, I should get rest, sorry. " Coworker guide him to backdoor. His coworker talk something but the words don't reached him. He feels hollow inside. Everything inside his body seem to reverse. His blood flow backwards. He can't mustered strength. He tried to talk but. The pain interpret the exact moment he tried to speak.

The ground around him shake. The spark formed around his environment. He saw stream of particles floating around him and enter his body but the pain in his body never stop. It keeps getting stronger. In his left corner, His coworker disappear or more like dissolve into liquid. He doesn't care to think about that matter because the suffering he feels shape into something, veins and core. His entire body structure reformed and with the feeling of disgust, he vomited. The blood come out his mouth like a waterfall.

Aguilar feels weak, may be because of the blood loss. After a few second of resting on the bloody

pool, energy return to him. The particles he saw during the suffering, enter his body, like thousands of ants crawling on his skin. After a few second, the particles stop entering. Strangely he doesn't feel any strange phenomenon on his body. The only thing changing in his body is able to see particles, only when he focus.

He looked around to find the solution for this strange phenomenon. In the place near him there is a meatball with an eyes and mouth seemingly breathing. Because he was on the backdoor of the restaurant, the only solution he think of what this body was his coworker. During

the change, he hallucinate coworker melting. ' May be he experienced something like me but in a different way. '

He stared at the creature for a while. Since there is nothing to gain from looking at that thing, he walk past. He doesn't care about him. Only himself matter. Only him. He opened the door. The restaurant was damage may be due to the earthquake. There is no people around. Although the restaurant rating doesn't high during this time it should be filled with 5 or more people. ' May be they seek protection from earthquake. This place doesn't seem to hold earthquake. '

A few have awaken energy. ] The subtle voice pass through him carried by the wind. Aguilar immediately alert. [ Nothing special about this planet. Energy? new life form? What is this conversation? Where is this sound come from. After looking around him, he noticed something. The particles around him vibrate making the sound. What kind of particles able to create sound waves from vibration. May be earlier conversation was carried by this particles.

Given the previous conversation, this place seemingly transformed due to enlargement of planet. New life form means that meatball. With question, he walked out the restaurant, he saw the people drying left and right. Some people screamed, some tried to end their live. Some were insane. A few people exploded like a firework. Only a handful of people seem normal but in his eyes he see the fear and uncertainty consuming them.

In his eyes, they are like children scare of adult or worse. He shakes his head. How did Aguilar feel seeing this insanity? Excitement. He hoped that his family die like this. He hoped that this new change free him into more emotional person. Hopefully he can find the purpose to exist. ' First I have to find the solution to this chaos. A new life form means new threat. Human dropped off the food chains. Government and military can overcome this situation but relying on them was a false hope. With a plan in his head, he run toward his house avoiding the chaos. He want to break tiny box and this was his opportunity.
