1 The reunion

Today was the day that every thing would move on just like any other day. It was warm outside the Autumn air was quiet refreshing as the wind blew. I would go to work, do everything I need to do, go home and keep my head down.

That was until I got the call from my old headmaster. I ignored it but he just calling and calling, he would not stop. It was getting to a point of insanity so answered the phone IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. As soon as I answered the phone he would not shut up, about how I have to come back to the academy. So I hung up, and didn't answer the phone again.

Today was my day off from work so I decided to stay home and relax. That didn't happen two hours in and there was a knock on my door, and guess who it is my dear old headmaster. Before I could say anything he pushes past me and goes through the door. "hmmm, what do you think you are doing here" I say in surprised.

"Nothing much, just bring you back to the academy," he says in a cheery voice.

"Yeah I don't think so," I reply back in a cold voice because I'm never going back there every again if it is the last thing I do.

"Oh really you think you can stop me from taking you back there,we both know that you can stop me from dragging you back there" he says as he turns around with a smirk on his face. I never really looked at him and paid attention to the details, he was tall he at least had three inches on me. He looks like he is in his mid thirty's, with dark brown hair, and deep bags under his dark brown eyes.

Shutting the door, that was left open.

"So why are you here," I say letting my act of steel drop, feeling bad for the headmaster.

"Well, you probably already know. You need to come back to the academy, things are getting out of control and people are getting pushed to limits and everybody picking sides and the academy is in the middle of it," he says walking into the living room.

"Okay and why is this involving me I left that place and I'm not going back there ever again," I say letting my voice go cold again.

"Archie, I need you to come back you are like neutral ground for the banshees, vampires, werewolves, hunters, and sparks. You have friends from the banshees, vampires, and the werewolves you come from one of the strongest hunter family's your parents are on the council. Your siblings are set to take your parents seats when they retire. Just because you don't smell like a hunter doesn't mean you aren't one, you grew up in that environment. Even if you didn't get the smell of a hunter at 16 just like the others doesn't mean your not one, you have the skills, the coldness about you that will make anybody scared,"he voice almost sounded like it was pleading but not there yet.

"So, I still don't see how this evolves me in anyway," I reply following him into the living room. I sit down on the couch and he takes the arm chair next to it.

"Please, the vampires and banshees are taking sides and so are the wolves and the hunters. If somebody does not resolve the conflict, a lot of innocent people will die," his voice going into a pleading voice.

"Headmaster calm down just tell me why there is a conflict," say letting my voice fall to a very soothing voice to try and get him to calm down.

"Their arguing that the rules are out date and they need to create new one, but the hunters and wolves won't let them because in doing so would cause a havoc in the supernatural community. The vamps are also blaming the academy for such bad students that won't follow the rules," his voice calming down a little.

"And how can I help I'm basically the black sheep of my family," I say.

"You could come to the school and become a teacher, the students will open to you more and come to you for advice," his voice pleading again.

"Ok, fine but you need to get sleep before we go back. You look like you are the walking dead," I say giving into his pleading. "The guest bedroom is up the stairs to the left ok, go get some sleep." He gets up and goes up the stairs quietly without saying a word. "I knew the peace and quiet could not last long," I mummer to myself.
