Prologue

Evelyn Moon has been pampered and adored ever since she was born. She's the only daughter of City A's most influential and richest family.

Born from a loving pair of beautiful and loving parents, surrounded by her caring and outstanding brothers. Evelyn, who is not just as pretty as a doll, with her snow-white skin, rosy cheeks, and cherry lips, she has also been smart and amazed everyone around her.

She excelled in everything she does and is loved by most people and no matter what she does she gets and can get away with it.

She's almost perfect.

All except for her personality.

It's not like her pampered environment is the reason for her twisted personality. Evelyn has been from the very beginning a very bad person.

Growing up she seems to have realized that she lacks certain human traits of a normal person. One of them is 'goodness and empathy'.

She doesn't seem to have any ounce of goodness or empathy for others. Once, there was a charity organized by her mother for orphaned kids. She doesn't know why every other kid of her mother's peers, who were also attending started crying when one of the invited spokespeople made a speech about how lucky 'they' are to have loving parents and how unfortunate the situation of the orphaned kids and that they should help them.

Evelyn at that time is quite perplexed about the words of that person. Her little brain doesn't seem to understand it. So she looked around the seats where the children of the orphanage are and saw their empty-looking eyes and their crestfallen expression.

"But why?"

"Why do they look like that?"

"They just pointed out the truth so why do they look like that?"

Upon seeing the puzzled look and unusual expression of the little Evelyn, the spokesperson, Mrs. Fillemont called for her attention and asked her, "What seems to be the matter, young lady? Do you also feel sorry for them?"

After having her attention called out to by Mrs. Fillemont, the headmistress of the orphanage. Evelyn looked back to the center aisle, where the former is standing and giving out her so-called speech.

Mrs. Fillemont was only expecting to earn a nod from the cute looking doll to earn more sympathies from the other rich wives and their children. Thinking that she can use the pampered and beloved lady of the Moon family to receive more donations.

And so she waited for the little Evelyn to react in what most kids around her age would do, but the young Evelyn has a secret.

A secret that she hasn't told anyone in her family.

She looked at Mrs. Fillemont, with a sharp stare. That strong gaze of hers doesn't seem to belong to a five-year-old child. For some reason, the former couldn't help but feel a chill rise at the back of her neck.

"Why? Why do I have to feel sorry for them? Because they don't have parents? Is that why I should pity them?" She did not speak in a hurried state but with her sweet-sounding voice, she asked.

"Ye,yes" Mrs. Fillemont answered.

"Then they're not worth it."

The whole atmosphere seems to have frozen after that, in contrast with her sweet and doll-looking appearance such strong and cold words were uttered by this seven years old.

Awkwardness seems to drown the whole venue but that didn't stop Evelyn. Whispers can be heard and it is a secret thing between the upper society about the weirdness of the little princess of the Moon family.

Of course, no one can say anything about it in public since that will be like waging a war against the long-established Moon family.

Her mother at the time didn't say anything and only gave her a pat on the head. She doesn't remember much about what happened then but she can still remember one of her brothers who was twelve at the time, laughing at her and then when he pinched her chubby cheeks he said, "Well, I do have been noticing this for a while now, but it seems like our little princess is quite the character eh? It's going to be fun seeing you grow more twisted in the future... Don't worry Eevie, even with a bad personality you'll be fine."

Fourteen years had already passed since then, she can still remember the words of her second older brother back then and how much irritated she was cause he kept on pinching on her cheeks.

Now, the nineteen years old Evelyn Moon is just a few minutes away until she turns twenty. The night skies are quite beautiful today even though there are no stars to see at this moment, the chilling night view is perfect, the city landscape seems to brighten acting as the stars that illuminate the dark night as Evelyn welcomes her twentieth year in this world and to commemorate her first kill.

Yes, the last five minutes of the nineteen years old Evelyn Moon and it seems like she has gotten her the first kill of her life.

How is it?

Does it pique your interest? I really hope it does >.<
