Chapter 14

I gathered my composure as their blast shot toward me again, we are both starting to lose our breaths at how aggressive this fight has become but neither of us have given up yet. I refuse to fall to the whims of this being for the sake of my loved ones.

I hold my shield in place, but a small portion of the blast breaks my shield and hits me in the side. I glare and drop the rest of the shield as Fear tries to gain their strength. “You are resilient, I’ll give you that. But I am thousands of years old! Do you really think you can beat me? You can’t win!” I take a deep breath and smirk.

“I am not afraid of you. You can make me fear you all you want; nothing will stop me. You are not feared. You will not win. If that means I die in the process then so be it but you, you will not win.” I shot a small blast of energy toward them, and they shrieked away. I take a deep breath and start to walk forward toward Fear.
