Chapter 9: Poison

"What was that?" I don't know how to respond to Rizas' questions "I don't know", After absorbing the energy of everyone in the warehouse I realised that the dreams I had were memories, and all those soldiers were people I've killed. How many lives have I taken? thousands? millions? I can't shake the blame, even if I don't remember killing them. I'm probably just as bad as Marcus, but it doesn't matter to me, in order to beat a monster you must become an even bigger monster.

I snap out of my little dilemma and begin searching for anything useful. Riza opens a crate and calls out to me. Riza pulls out an item from the crate and me hands me some contact lenses "What is this?" I ask. Riza explained that the contact lenses can display maps, have built in binoculars and is connected to a public database that allows bounty hunters and students to check others people data.

I put on the contact lenses, A hud shows up in my vision "Welcome", this can be useful. I run through a quick tutorial and learn how to use them. The contact lenses can also be connected with certain vehicles, allowing you to control them and allow you to save self collected data on a private server.

Riza continues to search the crates for useful items, I head into a garage and try to find a vehicle compatible with the lenses. I find a few but none of them are what I'm looking for, eventually I find a black motorcycle, its pretty big for a motorcycle. I link the cycle to my lenses and name it "The Black Beast", its probably not as good as a dragon but its more incognito.

BB (Black beast) had built in turrets and gun compartments, It must've been a hell of a lot of money for this thing. Riza yells out to me, I rush into the other room ready for battle. There's no danger but she's holding a crystal in her hand, "A re-awakener" The crystal had the ability to bestow new classes and elements to anyone who activated it. This was definitely the rarest find of all, but why would such a small gang have this?

We walk out of the warehouse and out the gate, I use the contact lenses to call BB, A little screen with a live from BB appears in the corner of my eye, it's like controlling a drone, i control what direction it moves and where it shoots. I use BBs' missle to blast i hole through the wall and drive towards me. BB stops in front of us and we hop on.

We arrive home and i park BB in a secret location. I enter the house and there's a news reports "Gang wars: new gang in town?" people believe that the army I summoned was a new gang on the scene. I'll worry about this later, I go upstairs with Riza.

"It's time to use the re-awakener", Riza pulls it out and we both put our hands on it abd Riza activates the crystal. I wake up an all white room, there's nothing, I look around and eventually see someone standing in the distance. I look closely and notice... he's me. But he looks so much happier, in a flash he's in front of me. We don't say anything, we just plunge our hands through each others chest.

I wake up feeling like my blood is on fire, the voices are back but they do nothing but scream, they're in pain too. Riza is still sleeping and my mother had left to do shopping, so I leave the room and fall down the stairs. The pain is heavy and i start zoning in and out of consciousness.

There's 3 family heirlooms which have been in my family for generations, a big two handed sword, a ring and a crown. The voices tell me to grab the items, I put on the ring and crown. I pick up the sword and can hear the voices telling me what to do, so I raise the sword and stab it through my chest. The voices start leaving and I feel alot of darkness leaving too. The items vanish before my eyes, I finally feel better and so I sleep on the spot. I'll deal with all of this tomorrow.
