Chapter 11: Time skip

The time for the entrance exams had finally arived, for 6 whole months we've done nothing but train. Its early in the morning, Riza and I are in the front yard saying goodbye to my parents, my father gives me the family heirlooms and a slap on the shoulder wishing me luck, I put on the ring and give the blade to Riza. I keep the crown in a special suitcase, I don't think i should use it. I don't think we should use any of the heirlooms unless our lives were in danger. I say goodbye to my mother and we head off. This is the first step to my revenge.

We're back in the city and making our way down to the airship dock. The place is as lively as ever, there's less gangsters running around and the markets is huge. The market is multiple city blocks and small stands for each vendor, they have lots of variety, food, fruits, scrap metal, jewelry and books. I begin to take notice of the nicer things a lot more than usual, Does absorbing my original power mean giving up my humanity? Who knows but I'll enjoy this while i can.

The market isn't all happy though, some gang members harass owners and kick down some stands, there are people speeding down the roads and cops taking bribes. This place is what you make of it.

We eventually make it to the airship dock and stand in line to check in. It takes us a while to reach the front but we check in, there's a lot more people than i expected, I guess everyone just wants to make it big and leave the city behind, I can't blame them though.

Riza and I sit down and wait for the airship to dock, "I need to use the toilet" I leave Riza for a bit, I come out of the stall and wash my hands. I go back to where Riza is, I see someone standing in front of her, he had blonde hair and around 7ft so I move in closer and listen to their conversation.

"I recognise that symbol on your hand, you and THAT asshole broke into my fathers' office!", he's getting aggressive and Riza is frozen in fear, she can't move, maybe she still traumatized, that's probably why she didn't join the fight at the docks. The guy raises his hand and throws a punch.

BOOM!

Riza eyes were shut and her arms covered her face, but the punch never connected with her. There's a man with black and grey hair standing in front of her, he caught the punch. His eyes are are wide open, he's pissed off, with an aggressive tone he quietly says "What the hell do you think you're doing!?"

I can feel the 2 power levels rising, they're standing toe to toe ready to start swinging at any moment. I can sense their bloodlust towards each other, one throws a kick and the other throws a punch.

I catch the punch with and stop the kick with my foot, "I've think we've gone far enough" the 3 of us are interrupted by the police, After a quick investigations, the 2 guys introduce themselves.
