10 Is it wrong to attend an auction uninvited?
A man wearing a black suit and black trousers walked up to the stage holding what looked like a microphone of sorts.
He greeted everyone, mentioning who seemed to be some important people responsible for today's event.
The audience clapped and praised the mentioned people and the auction began.
"Our first products are things you can use however you want for whatever purpose you want."
After the speaker jovially said so a dozen or so men, women and children in torn rags and in chains entered the podium from backstage.
"Slaves."
One person muttered in surprise.
It appears that this person did not expect slaves to be the first product for today's auction.
Usually slaves are always on the last or the main event in most auctions but being first sure is unusual.
"I can assure that they're all in good condition and as for the female slaves their purity and beauty is a guarantee."
Grinning from ear to ear the speaker said in an enthusiastic voice making the crowd below cheer in glee.
On the other hand two people hidden under the power of light were watching the ongoing auction below.
"How revolting."
One of the two uttered in disgust.
It was Ryuu and anger can be seen on her face as she looked at the dozen or so slaves being presented one by one on the stage as if they were some sort of commodity.
As a follower of justice Ryuu couldn't stand and watch such injustice.
She wouldn't mind if they're criminals, but the slaves presented on stage definitely didn't look like one, well some of them.
If it wasn't for Kai calming her down by placing his hand on her back to not blow their cover she might have snapped out and unleashed mayhem upon the people below.
Ryuu is usually a composed person but the sight of a dozen or so kids being sold as slaves made her heart boil.
To Ryuu's words however Kai decided to stay silent, but one can tell by looking at his ugly expression that he too was disgusted by the revolting sight below.
However, their goal here is to gather information and not to save some slaves.
So Kai decided to suppress his feelings as there's always a right time for everything.
Ryuu also understood this as she suppressed her own unstable emotions.
Saving the slaves could come later.
Kai and Ryuu have been following the four guys for a few minutes now.

The Evilus members seem to be conducting some sort of trade to some foreign organizations in the entertainment district which made the two curious.
Presently Kai and Ryuu are on the second floor balcony of the auction house overlooking the ongoing auction below.

"Look there. Those guys levels are ranging from level 3 to level 4. Moreover, the fact that the first items presented were high-class slaves meant that the following items should be even better than slaves, which are already considered a rare commodity."
"After the auction is done, then we'll start making our move. For now, let's wait and see."
Ryuu nodded to Kai's words.
She fully understands that this mission is about gathering information.
As for apprehending Evilus members and saving the slaves, that's secondary.
In a short time the auction continued for hours, many rare and exotic items from the deep floors of the dungeon were presented on stage but none garnered Kai's attention, none until this moment.

This is to satisfy his curiosity, gain knowledge regarding his surroundings and to ensure his own and companions safety.
He might be quite strong but it's not enough to completely ensure his and others safely.
This world is far more dangerous than how it was portrayed in the anime.
His base physical prowess is comparable to a peak level 2 and if the enhancement granted adding magicules to the mix is included Kai can fight any first class adventurers head-on without much of a problem and this is while not taking magic into consideration.
If magic is included in the mix, a field Kai is more proficient with only level 6 and above could pose a threat to him.
But despite all of that taken into account Kai is still cautious on his every action and this was because his energy isn't inexhaustible.
Moreover, people who received blessings from gods possessed their own low tier reality warping abilities that Kai found out after observing them for a long time.
He once fought a powerful level 5 outside the dungeon city of Orario and despite giving his all if it weren't for Great Investigator assisting him in battle that Amazoness might have killed him.
That woman is like a monster.
She's mostly immune to his magical attacks except spirit magic and the more she's injured the stronger and sturdier she becomes.
A peak level 2 adventurer whose Agility parameter had reached 600 is able to reach subsonic speed if they gave their all while a genuine level 3 can do the same thing normally.
He also encountered a person named Leon Vardenburg who moved on Supersonic speed back in Altena and that was him holding back.
The man helped them in subduing a group of rebels attacking the normal citizens back in Altena.
But that's a story for another.

Kai had noticed that some attendees are more likely spies from different organizations and a majority of them seem to disapprove of this illegal auction just like them.
