1 The Dark Winds Of The Beginning

Is it really wrong for us to live even though we might be born as 'geniuses' even though we really never wished for it to be so? Various people with differed opinions call it different things, prodigy, mastermind, intellectual and whatnot.

But the question that rises in my mind is not what they call us, but why do the same people who call us 'geniuses' treat us differently from others.

Some might say its human nature but do you believe that is the case? And so it brings us to the society messed up by normal people's opinions.

Now to demonstrate what it is to be a genius and what it means to live with normal people brings us to the story of the prodigy unknown to society and most people, Tatsuya Ryo.

In case you were wondering who is talking to you readers about this, it was me, Tatsuya and not the writer. I have already taken up so much of your time, so I guess you will be prepared for my life-experiences before I was miraculously transported to a fantasy world.

"Tatsuya Ryo?! That nerd is going to propose to Aoi Amano? I hope that he gets rejected"

"Poor girl doesn't even know what is gonna happen to her. Do you think we should go and tell her?"

"No! If you do that she won't even come to hear what he has to say."

Such comments were being passed after rumours were spread about Tatsuya. Not being affected by these comments Tatsuya gets up from his seat and prepares to go to the spot where he was supposed to meet the girl called Aoi.

"In the end what could possibly happen? I will most probably be rejected. But still my 'fate can change', who knows. Let's head into battle then!" while thinking to himself Tatsuya holds his head high and starts walking towards the back of the gymnasium.

When he reaches there he sees that Aoi the girl he was going to propose to was already waiting there. He goes calmly towards her and as he walks towards her she asks-

"So, what happened? Why did you call me here?"

Tatsuya boldly approaches her and says-

"Actually I'm in love with you. So, will you please go out with me?!"And he bows.

She smirks and says-

"Tell me something... was it because I was treating you like a normal person while the others treated you like garbage? Stop wasting my time like this. I treated you that way out of pity for you. I'm not gonna go out with some boring nerd like you.... There you have your answer. If there's nothing else you want to tell me then I can leave right?"

Tatsuya raises his head feeling heartbroken and says in a very softly-

"There is nothing more I want to ask or tell you. Thank you for your answer." and he walks away.

After that day, without his knowledge Aoi spread bad rumours about Tatsuya and the very next day he got nasty looks from everyone. Few more days later he got bullied and after class when he was returning home.

The bullying had increased so much that the bullies started resorting to violence whenever he would pass Aoi.

This continued for a month every single day and Tatsuya got tired and frustrated of all this and said to himself while he laid on his bed-

"I'm better off staying at home and playing good old RPG games on my pc rather than dealing with these mongrels."

He reassures himself that he has at least one friend who understands him and won't leave his side.

So with that in mind he kept going to school and kept dealing with the bullying.

He didn't have to be angry because he knew that his only friend in Sakurai high school, Hitoshi would definitely understand him.

After half a month had passed, he was being avoided by Hitoshi. Whenever he tried talking to him he would come up with some excuse and would avoid him.

One day, when he was returning home he coincidentally saw Hitoshi with the bullies. All of them laughing and talking happily. Tatsuya had finally realized that he had been betrayed by his own friend and there was no coming back for him.

Few more days later, Hitoshi completely ignored Tatsuya and would join in with the bullies and bully him. This time Tatsuya thought-

"I guess what I thought of him before will remain only as a memory. After all, he is a normal person."

The day that he thought of this he had decided that he would not go back to that living hell anymore.

Thus, Tatsuya became a shut-in and holed up in his apartment and played games all day. He thought that life couldn't become anymore of a nightmare. But he was proved wrong.

This time the bullying had crossed its limits. They decided to go even further by cyber-bullying. Paying no mind to the comments passed about him he continued to live his shut-in life.

He had finally realized the root cause of these problems after playing those games for three long days.

He realized that the root cause of the problems is the one because of whom these problems had started. By that he meant, Aoi.

"The only one who knew about the confession was her. I had checked beforehand, but there was no one behind or inside the gymnasium at that time."

As soon as he says that he snaps and loses all sense of reason. His personality gets destroyed. The once calm and collected Tatsuya had become something that someone might call 'evil incarnate'.

After he figured this out, he spent his entire time thinking how to pay them back for all they had done to him. While thinking of this he stumbled upon the idea of hacking.

He threw away all unnecessary knowledge down the drain and spent most of his time learning how to hack. After three complete weeks, he decides that it was time for him to pay them back.

He destroyed the bullies' lives by hacking and looting their money from their bank accounts. He kept on doing the same till he robbed all those bullies of their money and said while laughing in a very evil manner-

"How's that! Now you can all suffer the same way I did you dumbasses. Should've thought twice before dealing with me that way you morons."

Few more days pass, and to relieve his boredom he does the same thing and ruins everyone's lives.

After so many days he realizes that his fridge had become empty. After living on the same pork cutlet for so many days he decides that he should go and buy some stuff. He also had to buy a new game so he decides-

"Let's go! I've been sitting in this dump for far too long."

He puts on a hooded jacket and leaves his apartment. He walks with is smart phone in his hand. Crosses the streets and after walking for some time reaches the game store. Since the convenience store was right next to it, he buys his game and goes to buy some cup ramen and water.

While he carries all this stuff and uses his smart phone for playing games he arrives at the signal. Since he had to wait for some time, he starts to think-

"Should I have held back on them a little bit by not hacking? I can't even make out what is good and bad anymore."

While waiting, it becomes crowded. While thinking about hacking his hands move unconsciously and they start to hack. Since he spent most of his time doing this, his hands became used to performing these actions and they started to work without his knowledge.

Now he was very deep in his thoughts and didn't even pay attention to his surroundings. Suddenly he felt like someone tapped his back and when he turned around a bit and he saw Aoi.

She peeked into his phone before calling out to him and when he turned around she asked-

"Just what do you think you are doing?!"

After she asked this he was petrified and he replied in a hesitant voice-

"M-m-me? Nothing. I'm just p-playing a game"

He doesn't realize that she couldn't see his face and he panics while thinking to himself-

"Oh no! Someone saw me hacking. But, of all the people why her? How do I escape from this situation? Think, think. Put your useless brain to some good use!"

She leans over to see his face and says-

"Do I know you from somewhere...Are you...?"

Before she gets to complete the sentence his anxiety reaches its peak and he makes a run for it. Few seconds before the signal changes he finds himself in front of a truck while the truck driver honks.

His whole life flashes before his eyes and he thinks to himself-

"Damn, this is gonna hurt a lot!"

The truck driver puts a brake to the truck but even though he did that the truck end up hitting Tatsuya and he flies and rolls thrice in the sky before landing on his back.

Before he loses his consciousness he sees that people are screaming and some men come rushing and order other people-

"CALL AN AMBULENCE! IMMEDIATELY!"

"Ha....ha, I....lost too much....of my ....HP"

Tatsuya says this while coughing up blood and he completely loses consciousness.

He opens his eyes very slowly and finds himself on a bed in a hospital room. He looks around and finds no one near him, so he decides to relax and try to remember what had happened.

When he starts to remember, his head becomes hazy and so he decides to not think about why he landed up in a hospital. He tries to get up and he suddenly feels dejected.

"Why am I suddenly feeling so bad, it's as if this is not my feeling but someone else's? What is this odd feeling?"

He lifts his blanket and laughs then he puts his blanket down and sits upright. He says in a soft voice-

"Well, it isn't as if I didn't deserve this. All the grief that I have caused the people just for the sake of revenge..... The price is too steep..."

The door was flung open and a doctor along with few nurses rushed to his side. The doctor offered Tatsuya some tea and he graciously accepted it.

After he finished drinking tea, the nurses took the empty glass from his hand went outside.

"You know something, when they brought you to the hospital not even a single soul thought that you would be able to make it through... including me as well."

"Well, there's nothing new in that."

"It was a miracle as to how you were even alive in such a condition..."

As the doctor kept explaining to him what had happened and what his condition was..."

"So, how many days has it been since I was in this room?"

"You've been out like a candle for the past four days. We thought that maybe there was no chance that you could ever regain your consciousness."

After hearing all of this he looked outside the window. It was still morning and the birds were chirping with tons of energy. Suddenly he looked at the doctor and asked him-

"Doctor, did anyone from my family come to visit me when I was asleep?"

There was dead silence in the room for few minutes and then the doctor replied-

"No... Not a single person came to visit you..."

From looking at the doctor's eyes he could make out that he wasn't lying. After their conversation was over he asked the doctor before he left-

"Tell me something..... These artificial legs.... don't support running, right?

The doctor smiles at him and leaves the room. He looks outside the window all the time and remembers that he had not yet played the new game that he bought at the store the other day.

So, he sneaks out of the hospital without being noticed and walks to his apartment.

By the time he reaches home it becomes evening and as he walks up the stairs he realizes something. The game which he had bought got crushed under the truck along with the food.

He takes the spare key to his room from under a flower pot as he had lost he did not have his original key. He goes to his bedroom and lies on the bed while spreading his arms.

"Now that I know that my family has abandoned me as well... what shall I do?"

He gets up and stretches his arms a bit and says-

"This stupid world can go and die. Oh right.... this stupid world was created by a dumb God who knows nothing but bring grief to people like me!"

When he finishes saying this his eyes become teary. Then suddenly the window breaks and a bullet pierces his abdomen.

He looks at the window then look at his stomach. He cups his hand on the area where the bullet pierced him and looks at the same hand.

"Wh-what is this?!... All this red...it can't be RIGHT?!"

He kneels as the excruciating pain makes him numb and while coughing blood says-

"T-that's r-right, now t-that I think about it there were o-other w-ways to go-go about it eh?"

He musters up all the strength left in him and shouts-

"YOU, WHO CREATED THIS STUPID WORLD, I KNOW YOU CAN SEE ME SO BETTER HEAR ME AS WELL.... GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE.... JUST ONE MORE! IF THIS IS TOO MUCH TO ASK AND YOU CAN'T DO IT THEN IT'S NOT ME WHO IS SCUM...IT'S YOU!!!" and then a gunshot is heard.

His head goes blank and from here on out his new life begins.....!
