142 Chapter 20 Meeting My Stalker

(A/N. Just wanted to say that there will be no chapter next week...and it's definitely not because I'm going to be playing the shit out of that new Harry Potter game, no, definitely not because of that.)

"Finally done"

I had just gotten finished with showing all of the abyssal creatures into the abyss. I had used dozens of portals to send groups of them to random places in the abyss, yet I also made sure not to put the predators too far from their food sources. Just in case however, I had also made sure to increase both their reproduction rate and their growth rate. I honestly didn't want them all dying out, I just made them after all.

Anyway, the area that had once been filled to the brim with death and decay was now completely empty. All the bodies, limbs, organs and even the blood that had once stained the grass a dark crimson had been dealt with, in fact the only indication that something horrible had ever even happened here to begin with was the rather horrendous stench that permeated the air, the empty sets of armor that littered the ground in large piles as well as the eerily abandoned camp.

"Well this place looks a hell of a lot better now" I mused to myself while I gave the place a quick look over. Poe even seemed to agree with me if the waving of his arms was anything to go by.

"You can say that again" I said as I knelt down and rubbed Poe's head.

"So then, now that we have gotten all that cleaned up and out of the way, I believe that it time for u-" I wasn't able to finish however, as just then the violent energy that had been swirling around my new kelpie friends for the past few minutes began to slowly disappeared drawing my full attention back over to them.

"Oh" I walked over to them with Poe waddling by me, by the time I reached them the energy had vanished completely.

"Nice to have you back with us" the three of them had not changed much from their evolution. The only real noticeable difference was the water that poured out from the holes in their skin, it now seemed to weave and orbit around their body instead of just flowing off of them.

"Good girls" I said as they nudged me with their heads in a somewhat cute manner, still didn't understand how something like them can be cute but whatever.

"Anyway, I think it's time to move on to what else I had planned but before that..." I hummed as I summoned my wings once more, this action seemed to catch Poe's attention for some reason.

"I do need to get this done but I really don't want to do it here, this place fucking stinks" I grimmest in disgust as I waved my hand in front of my face.

"Huh..." however before I could leave this place Poe stopped me by pulling on my leg, looking down at him I saw that he was pointing at my wings rather curiously. It was only then that I realized my wings had actually changed quite noticeably.

"Your right, I didn't notice before that my wings have actually changed"

My wings had indeed changed quite a bit. They still had black feathers but now they looked far more reptilian...or bat like you could say. They seemed to have become something akin to a hybrid between the wings of a dragon and the wings of a phoenix, though that was what I expected considering my new race was apparently half dragon. They were mostly covered in black feathers, however they also had large, overlapping golden scales that ran over the top of them.

"Well I guess it makes sense, after all my race did change, so it only makes sense that somethings about my body would have changed as well" I hummed thoughtfully as I gave my wings a few test flaps.

"Anyway Poe, could you do me a small favor?" I asked as I turned back to look down at my adorable yet terrifying little companion. To his credit Poe seemed to accepted straight away without even hearing me out first.

"Thank you"

"Can you take these three with you back and introduce them to everyone in the abyss?" Poe simply nodded as he opened up a small portal, only to then realize that he would need to make a bigger one if Agony and the others were going to fit through it.

"Thanks again" I smiled before stopping abruptly as I realized that there was something else I needed him to do.

"Also, tell everyone that I'll be introducing them to the people of Tempest very soon. I'm just waiting for the tension to die down a bit, things have been a bit hectic here and I just want to wait for everything to calm down before I tell everyone just what it is that happened over the time that I was gone" I explained and Poe for his part simply nodded in understanding

(I feel bad using that as an excuse to get them out of here but what comes next is something I need to do alone...) I thought to myself as I watched Poe lead Treachery, Agony and Demise through the portal.

(Now then...there is someone that I need to see. After all I believe that it is only right for me to at the very least get to know the person who has been stalking me for the past month or so)

With that my wings extended and I flew off, I only came to a stop when I could no longer smell the stench of rotting corpses. Once back on the ground I made sure no one was close by before starting what I had planned.

"So..." I sighed as I lent my back against a nearby tree, it was time to meet the person who has been so rudely following me around all this time.

"Why don't you come out already?" I mused as I glanced down at my feet. More specifically I was looking down at the ground beneath my feet.

"You can't hide from me, not anymore anyway" at first I actually had no idea that they were even there, however since I evolved into a demon lord and gained new skills I was able to sense them rather easily.

"So just come out and show yourself you damn blob"

For a second nothing happened, in fact it seemed as if I had just been talking to myself like a lunatic but that soon changed. The very ground around my feet began to bubble with shimmering metallic sludge that slowly flowed and shifted upwards. Reminiscent of flowing liquid metal the mass of slime began to grow as more and more of the substance appeared over time. And after only a few seconds a very familiar figure appeared before me.

"Hehehehehahahahaha" the familiar sound of hundreds of people laughing all at the same time was not a pleasant one to say the very least.

"Meow!"

"Hi little bird, hehehe"

"How have you been?" There were some voices that I did recognize from the last time I spoke with this mass of personalities, however most of them were completely foreign to me.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! THERE ARE BEES IN MY ASS!"

"Watson! I, using my miraculous investigation abilities, have found something rather peculiar. It would seem that we have somehow been devoured by a silver slime-like creature. As a result of this we seem to have been added into what appears to be an amalgamation of various different consciousnesses all trapped within the same slimy body"

"Fascinating Holmes..."

(This is gonna be harder than I thought...) I grumbled internally as I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"I want to talk to the dominant consciousness" I demanded but I was only met with more and more voices.

"Hmmm...Hmmmmmmm...HMMMMMMMMMMM!"

"You know who I'm talking about" I growled, I wasn't in the mood to go through this whole song and dance with them.

"""Ooooooh...me!"""

"I am a tree, I have seen the very birth of the stars, I have heard the cries of dying ancients, sit beneath my branches and hear me sing, now come little sapling, come and here about the start of all creation"

"OH MY GOD! I am alive...how did I not notice that before?"

"SHE IS TALKING ABOUT ME! YOU MORONIC DIPSHITS! AND YOU! WHY IN THE NINE RINGS OF HELL WOULD I WANT TO TALK TO YOU, YOU BRAINLESS, RETARDED, FUCKING BITCH"

"I didn't mean any of you lot, and especially not you" I hissed back, and before that specific personality could say anything more I continued.

"Stop messing around and bring out the one that I want to speak with. Now" my voice was steady, calm even, yet the aura of oppression I released was definitely not.

"Interesting..."
