Chapter: 7

Chapter: 7

Three days later.

I was lying down against Selena under a tree and suddenly I heard someone call out to me.

"Nova-sama."

"Hmm."

Looking up I saw a girl with green skin short white hair and with cloth covering her chest and bottom half.

"Yes."

"Rimuru-sama has awaken."

"Ah, I see thank you for the information."

I got up with Selena who by this point looked completely different. She now had obsidian fur, but now it seems to absorb light rather than reflect it. Its coat appears to ripple and distort, creating an unsettling effect reminiscent of the event horizon of a black hole. Its eyes are pools of darkness, seeming to draw in all light that touches them, giving off an eerie glow like distant stars being consumed by the void.

Selena evolved into a unique evolution called Abyssal Voidwolf the reason for this was [Wisdom] implanting part of my skill [Celestial Arts] into her causing her unique evolution. Now to go check on brother walking over to the hut where Rimuru was being kept. Pushing the cloth used for the door aside I walked inside and looked at Rimuru who was on a hay bed.

"Yo Rimuru finally awake eh."

"Hey Nova the weirdest thing happened-"

"Rimuru-sama you've finally woken up!"

A familiar male voice said entering the room. Rimuru recognized the voice as Rigurd.

"Oh Rigurd, that girl before is-"

Hearing Rimuru's sudden silence I chuckled at his reaction to everyone's evolution. Rigurd, the chief of the Goblin village, who was once unsteady and wrinkled with the short stature of a goblin now had a robust muscular body and His height increased to that of a large adult human.

Rigurd then opened the "door" to lead both myself and Rimuru out of the hut while saying.

"This way please, we are done with preparation for the feast."

"Y-yeah."

"Thank you Rigurd," I said amused as both me and Rimuru left the hut.

As soon as I and Rimuru left the hut we ran into a large wolf that had a length of 5m and grew a horn that protruded below the center of the star on his forehead. The ends of his limbs are now covered in green socks, which are divided into sections roughly the same size as one another, leaving his paws exposed. The wolf shouted.

"Master! I'm happy that you've recovered so quickly."

"Ra…Ranga?" Rimuru asked confused.

"Yes," Ranga said wagging his tail but the force from the wagging was causing harsh winds.

A good ten minutes later Rimuru and I were sitting before the goblins with food placed before with a plate before me as well with a cup that seemed to be full of wine or beer of some kind. Then Rimuru started.

"So! Umm… to your evolution, and the end of the fighting. A toast! Cheeeeeeers…" but as he slowly realized that the goblins weren't doing the toast which I realized as well.

"Don't just stare at me! Do a toast!"

"I don't think they know how too Rimuru," I said which Rigurd quickly verified with a question.

"Lord Rimuru, Lord Nova what is this toast you speak of?"

"Thought so."

"Oh, they're not familiar with the custom. Ok, Nova and I will show you."

I sighed as I raised my cup and Rimuru did the same. I Brought my glass gently against Rimuru's.

"See just like that."

After that, everyone started following our lead and started toasting as well. Looking over the goblins looking over their clothing, infrastructure, and style of cuisine I noted that it really needed an upgrade speaking of clothing I need something else to wear outside of the robe I have on I'll fix that before tomorrow.

The next day Rimuru and I were seated next to each other with Ranga and Selena behind each of us respectively with both the goblins and the evolved dire wolves with them and Rigured was standing next to Rimuru. I am now in proper clothing. I was now wearing a plain white turtle neck and pants both were made with sticky and steel thread by yours truly. After the goblins finally quieted down Rimuru started.

"There it took five whole minutes for you to quiet down. Ahem! With that out of the way… as you can see our little group has grown much larger. So in the interest of avoiding any trouble, I want to lay down some ground rules."

"One: there will be no fighting."

"Two: just because you have evolved doesn't mean you can look down on other species."

"Three: no attacking humans."

"That's all. Those three rules are ironclad."

The Rigur then raised his hand and said.

"I have a question."

"Aha! What is it Rigur?"

"Why mustn't we attack the humans?"

"You dare question lord Rimuru's judgment?" Rigured asked

"No no, it's fine"

"I'll take over for the explanation," I said and Rimuru nodded.

"Ok, first thing first there are two reasons for this reason number one is that both Rimuru and I like humans for one."

"I see that makes sense!"

"I'm not finished anyway second humans regularly stay in groups and just like us if we attack they will retaliate and when it comes down to numbers we can not compete do you understand? There fore Rimuru and I agreed that attacking humans is forbidden and it would be best to get along with them will benefit us greatly."

"With that said that sums up the rules that we expect you to follow."

"Okay!!"

"Rigured."

"Yes?"

"We hereby place you in the position of Goblin Lord. Serve as a wise and just leader of the village."

"My lords! I will my life to serving this position!"

"Very good."

I can't believe that I agreed to drop this responsibility on Rigured I'm technically the oldest here and have the most experience when it comes to leading but the prospect of traveling to human cities sounds fun sorry Rigured. Hey, at least he doesn't have to deal with paperwork.
