(i) The Fall That’s Rarely Mentioned

"So, I'd assume you know a bit about his fall"

"Yea, he walked up and tried to overthrow god right"

"Kinda, it's not like most people say though"

"How?"

"If I tell you then you can't tell anybody"

I say this and turn to her as If to stress the importance of what I'm saying. She notices me looking and nods"

"I want you to speak"

"I won't tell anybody"

"Okay, well the story that you know is different, but that's not the only thing you don't know, there is some stuff that will change your understanding of heaven and hell"

"I warned you, just don't go running your mouth to anybody about this"

"I don't doubt you, I know what your like, I just wanted to make sure you knew"

"Well to start of I guess talking about what heaven was like is important, but before that I should tell you that god isn't the only god. He just calls himself god."

"What? Is there still only heaven and hell though?"

"Nope"

"Okay"

"Satan actually is a god"

"Come again"

"Yea, he's a god but he didn't want to be a god like he is now"

"So how did he want to be"

"I'll just let you figure it out from the story"

"Well, The people in heaven are aware that there are a bunch of gods, they all work to support "god" though" she nods to show that she's paying attention, "early on the heaven idea was new and not as many helpers where there, at the time god was the only god there. The others there where just semi-gods. Semi-gods can't create things in the world like a full god, they can just move them"

"Okay so do semi-gods have to follow a god?"

"No but they almost always end up doing so, the ones who don't never can have bodies. The ones who don't follow a god become what the people on earth call poltergeists" she nods her head again "basically Lucifer was fine with where he was until god started to act impulsively. The semi-gods, who god called angels, started getting worried, they where the ones who wanted to give Lucifer power. Most wanted him to have the same power as god but a few wanted him to have more. Lucifer at the time was on the primary council, those who helped get information and helped strategize how to best spread influence. Lucifer was the head of that council. The people approached Lucifer to request that he try to get god to make him a second god. Lucifer at the time still wanted to support god. Around this time he started to talk to me about it. I though wanted god to have a equal. The idea was that him having a equal would create a system of checks and balances"

"Wait, did you make Lucifer approach god?"

"No, I was aware of what might happen, I told him that I thought it would be good if it worked but that it working was highly improbable. I think me saying this made him start to evaluate gods actions"

"So you did"

"No"

"Yu hu"

"No, it was everything combined that made him decide that it was what he wanted. He went back to those who asked him to oppose god a week later. Eventually he grew a following. Lucifer wasn't a god, he was a semi-god at the time"

"So how is he a god now"

"Well when they went up to bring the idea to god, god got mad. God basically said that if he wanted to be a god then it sure as hell wouldn't be here. He banished Lucifer from heaven and gave him the name Satan, and with that name the power of a god. God kicked out his followers too to make a example of anyone who opposed him. He at first tried to stop god by using the power he had to undo what god was doing but he had no believers other than the semi-gods who followed him."

"But where were they banished to?"

"We were banished to earth"

"Wut?"
