Chapter 8: Speak

3RD POV~~~~

Sonic Silver, and Tikal were sitting in science together.  They talked as they finished up their papers.

"You think I should just leave it alone?"

Sonic sighs looking at his desk..

"Yea.. I know her more than anyone. I think it may be best if no one pressured her about a relationship... remember what I said about Perci?" Silver explains.

"Ugh. What about Shadow then?" Sonic mumbles...

Silver frowns. He forgot about Shadow.

"It's Shadow. He won't do anything.."

"Are you sure? Tomorrow's Valentine's Day." Sonic scribbles on his paper.

"I'm sure."

"Sonic, do you not like Amy?" Tikal asks feeling bad for Amy.

"Yeah...its kinda complicated, Tikal.." Sonic sighs deeply..

"Well..If Shadow likes Blaze as you two claim he does. Then.. maybe you should give him a chance with her.  Shadow NEVER likes anyone.." Tikal finishes her paper..

"I guess...I'll think about it.."

Silver finishes his paper. "I don't know how I feel about Shadow being with Blaze anyways..Her parents might hate him. He doesn't have the best reputation."

Sonic and Tikal nod with Silver..

"Here let me turn in our papers.." Tikal smiles. She takes the papers and walks them across the class room..

"But I'm definitely getting something for Tikal.." Silver smiles at her as she turns their papers in.

"That's great Silver! I bet you won't put your name on it though.." Sonic smirks.

"Nope!" Silver nervously Laughs.

He's still too scared..

Tikal returns back to her seat.

Sonic snickers then sighs.

"I'll get Something for Amy..she can be annoying sometimes, but she's really sweet too."

Tikal smiles. "I'm glad. I know Amy will be delighted."

The last thing she needs right now is Sonic not acknowledging her on Valentine's Day.

Rouge was in a different science class earlier on that day. The teacher gave them the day off so for her it's the perfect time to check her makeup.

She gotta stay looking sharp for her dark hedgy.

Nearing the end of class Shadow walks in looking unhappy as usual.

He stops and stands over Rouge's desk.

"Hey there Hedgy... you actually came to class." She smiles up at Shadow seeing his glare.

"Hey, whats that look for? The principle made you mad again?" She ask concerned..

Shadow digs in his pocket and tosses two balls of crumbled up paper in front of Rouge.

He then sits down in the desk beside Rouge.

"Honey, whats this? Did you tear up someone's homework again?" She just stares at them.

"How about you look at them and tell me what the hell it is?" Shadow growls folding his arms.

Rouge paused from his anger, but looks at the pieces of paper.

"Oh." She breathes.

"Oh doesn't begin to explain why you had that in Blaze's locker!!" Shadow speaks louder causing the other students to look at them..

He looks around the class. "Mind you own business. I didn't ask for you all to turn around did I?"

They all turn around to continue whatever they were all doing.

Shadow turns back to Rouge. "Speak." He demands.

"I'm just worried about your image, sweetheart. The Ultimate Lifeform can't be seen with some pathetic little princess. I thought you'd appreciate me looking out for you." Rouge smirks.

She knows he cares about his image as the Ultimate Lifeform.

Shadow growls. "First of all-stop calling me these nicknames of yours. My name is SHADOW! So call me Shadow.

Second. My image is fine when I'm around the Princess-I don't need you looking out for me..."

"But she's so-"

"Lastly. She is not Pathetic-far from it to be exact. You on the other hand are pathetic for cowering behind some little note you slipped in her locker..."

Shadow silently stood up from his desk.

"I'm going to ask you kindly because were friends. Do. Not. Ever threaten Princess Blaze like that ever again.."

Shadow turns and walks out the classroom.

Ah Valentines Day the day of love and love confessions and mysterious gift giving.

Blaze had took a seat in her math class.

She's been seeing so many couples happily walking the halls and girls holding flowers and chocolates.

It makes her happy to see everyone in such lovingly moods.

As she waits for her friends to join her in the class she wonders what it's even like to get a gift on Valentine's Day from an admirer.

"Hey Blaze! Look what Sonic got me!!" Amy skips into the class to Blaze.

A very huge smile on her face as she holds her bouquet of red Roses.

This is by far the happiest Blaze have seen Amy.

"Those are beautiful, Amy." She then sees Tikal and Rouge walk in as well.

They both had flowers and chocolates too. They sat beside together.

"Who are those from, guys?" Blaze ask interested.

"I don't know. There is no name." Tikal shrugs.

"Mine is nameless too." Rouge smirks. "Even though I know exactly who they are from."

"She thinks it's from Shadow.." Amy laughs.

"Oh?" Blaze looks between the two.

"Of course they are! It's an apology gift obviously. Yesterday we got into a little fight, and he felt bad afterwards. Who els would it be?.." Rouge eats one of her chocolates.

"I'm sure you have the hearts of a few other boys, Rouge. " Tikal smells her flowers.

"Blaze did you not get anything yet?" Amy asks concerned.

Blaze shakes her head. "No, but it's alright. I don't usually get anything on Valentine's Day. I'm glad to see everyone happy with their gifts though."

"Oh that's too bad." Rouge sighs. "You can have some chocolates that Shadow gave me." Rouge offers her a chocolate.

"No, thank you." Blaze smiles kindly, but mentally rolls her eyes.

"And you're 100% sure you aren't upset about not getting anything?" Amy presses.

"Not at all. I really do enjoy seeing everyone happy on Valentine's Day. Especially my parents. They always do something amazing for each other. It makes me happy." Blaze closes her eyes with a smile thinking about her parents.

"If you say so.." Amy sighs.
