Ye Ling Ling, the only psychologist that managed to get Chen Jingyun to come around and talk about her anger issues... and more.

It was not because of Ye Ling Ling's extraordinary background nor her vast medical expertise despite being of a pretty young age, no. It was because Ye Ling Ling happened to have a jar of lollipops.

A long time ago, Chen Jingyun was being difficult and refusing to cooperate on any of the psychologists' efforts. She constantly asked to leave early since there was 'nothing' to talk about. If such permission was denied, she would refuse to talk until the hour was up.

She went through many psychologists, until one day she met Ye Ling Ling. A young military doctor who had been working in all types of works and people. One would think Ye Ling Ling would manage to crack Chen Jingyun and help her open up, but reality proved otherwise. She was offered the same treatment as other psychologists.

On a typical meeting, Chen Jingyun asked to leave before the time was up. Knowing that the girl would only shut her out whether she let her leave or not, Ye Ling Ling decided to just gamble a bit.

"Eat this lollipop and you may leave early."

Ye Ling Ling's main reason behind it was the sweet taste of candy would help brighten Chen Jingyun's day. Even if just a little bit.

Chen Jingyun didn't think much of it and went with her plan, she just wanted to get out.

Little did they both know, the moment Chen Jingyun popped the lollipop into her mouth she would be taken on a trip down the memory lane. A candy from her childhood, one that she had forgotten about, one that carried many bitter and sweet memories.

What was quite curious or would be considered the lucky chance factor was... that out of all the lollipops in the jar, Ye Ling Ling offered the one that had been Chen Jingyun's favorite flavor.

Since Chen Jingyun was chained to her responsibility of seeing her sentence to the end, she wouldn't be able to get that lollipop no matter what. She was going to be locked away from society, in the woods, in a secretive location, with no chances of buying that lollipop.

So she kept coming to the meetings. In exchange for cooperation from Chen Jingyun's part, Ye Ling Ling would reward her with a lollipop by the end of the session.

And now they were here.

"So, Doctor Ye... What are you doing here?" Chen Jingyun shifted in her seat with an awkward smile. "Did my grandpa send you here?"

"You're back with that doctor crap? I said, call me Sister Ye." Ye Ling Ling indignantly huffed.

Now their roles were reversed, Chen Jingyun was the one that acted quite polite and respectful and Ye Ling Ling was the one that let herself loose and treats her as if they were just friends.

Propping her feet up the desk, Ye Ling Ling acted a little bit like a ruffian. She acted nothing like her cute appearance.

"Your grandfather did send me here, but I must admit it took you quite a long time to come here."

Chen Jingyun rubbed her nose.

"Well, nobody told me you would be here."

"Of course, how would you have known? Nobody said a thing!" Ye Ling Ling quickly sympathized. "But... it is also true you didn't ask."

Chen Jingyun only scratched her head.

Right.

When she started to get better, she also started to see less of Ye Ling Ling. Their daily meetings turned to weekly, and then monthly.

Ye Ling Ling also changed her strategies and attitude, before she would be quite gentle and soothing, but as Chen Jingyun got better, she started to get daring, a little bit more playful, going from one question to another one, and switching sides.

Chen Jingyun started to feel talking to Ye Ling Ling was like talking to a tennis ball. High bounce rate.

"I see you haven't been paying attention to what I told you last time."

"...Yes, I do remember." Chen Jingyun sighed. "That I still have some kind of issue going on. Isn't it better if you just tell me what is it?"

"I have, but you keep ignoring it. So it seems."

"Let's not turn this into a session please, I still have classes to attend." Chen Jingyun shifted her eyes. "I just came here to get a slip that allows me to skip gym class. Can you help me?"

"I can." Ye Ling nodded with a smile. "But the question is... if I want to~"

"Oh, come on!" Chen Jingyun groaned.

Was she going to get psychoanalyzed for an hour again?

Seeing her reaction, Ye Ling Ling only chuckled.

"Don't worry, this time I will let you go. I will write you that slip and skip that class. Happy?"

Chen Jingyun nodded.

"I'll be happier if you give me a lollipop."

"I will give you one next time."

"Are you going to trap me for a session?"

"It is only a trap if you make it one~ Besides, you still have to get this slip every Tuesday. Am I right?"

Yes, you are right.

"Fine, I will be back."

"Very good."

"Then can you tell me why nobody told me about you?"

Ye Ling Ling smiled mysteriously.

"I will let you think it by yourself first, come with an answer and we will talk about that. Sounds good?"

"Sounds fine." Chen Jingyun said drily.

Now that she had fallen into Ye Ling Ling's claws, the only way to go on is following her plans.

"Here is your slip." Ye Ling Ling passed her a piece of paper. "Tell the teacher this comes from the... head nurse."

"Okay, thank you, Doctor-"

Ye Ling-Ling gave her a deathly look.

"Thank you, Sis Ye." Chen Jingyun finished with a smile, secretly wiping the sweatdrop on her forehead.

Ye Ling Ling retrieved her glare and began to smile brightly.

"Get going then." Ye Ling Ling waved her off. "You will be late if you stay here any longer."

"Okay! I'll be off then."

Closing the infirmary door behind her, Chen Jingyun found Li Minghao waiting for her.

"How did you know?" It was the first thing she asked him.

Li Minghao only shrugged.

"I didn't."

"What would have happened if I didn't know the doc- ahem, the nurse?"

"Plan B."

"What's Plan B?"

"Fix Plan A."
