49. Who are you ?

As soon as I completed my sentence I found myself the the gun point. I was surrounded by few more men other than Xia Chun who were dressed as farmers or cultivators.

As a reflex I covered my head with my elbows from front and sat down on the ground because of fear.

I could feel the gun touched my head and a shiver ran through my body followed by a short chuckle. I felt as if I was in a bad dream and was waiting for me wake up from it. I closed my eyes hardly in a wish that the dream will break and I will find myself on my bed when I open my eyes. But I was still in the same situation even after I opened my eyes. I gathered myself as I knew that if I don't collect myself now it will be too late for me to even regret it. So I gathered some courage and looked up and met two pairs of known eyes looking at me coldly.

I wanted to ask what was going on but I couldn't utter a voice out of fear. I could see and feel everything around me but could move or speak. I knew it was useless to shout as the place is quite away from the populated area or farm lands. I knew that I need to rely on myself to survive and best option was to communicate . Even if I clear the misunderstanding I am not shure if they will let me off easily.

Suddenly Xia Chun bent towards me and held my chin high with his right hand placed under my chin and told , " You really have guts. You want us to confront you.... but who are you? Why should we confront you? Could you please explain....!!"

His words bought me out of my daze and somehow unlike before I could speak, so I continued to look into his black eyes and told him , " B...but....I thought we were friends and I guss we are close enough that you can say who is your girlfriend. I won't judge your relationship no matter what. Anyway I would be glad to know if both of you found your love. I just wanted to tease you little more . So I told you like that. If you are unhappy about it than I will never ask you to do so and I will leave this place immediately. Please let me off. I won't tell anyone about what happened here . Please let me go." I literally begged in my highest tone without looking at their faces.

" What ? Whose relationship? What are you talking about?" , Miss Chao Chao shouted at me.

" Ahh....umm.... Your and Xia Chun's relationship." , I told them.

" So you ment you were expecting us to confront you about our relationship." , Xia Chun asked me.

" Umm.....yes. I am sorry for teasing you . I promise I won't ask again about it. Please let me go." , I told them as I freaked out that they might kill me for knowing their secret.

" Do you think we are dumb and will believe whatever you say? Well even if I believe that what you told was true but how can you explain that you kept your recording mode on in your mobile and left for bathroom while we were sitting on my varendra yesterday." , Miss Chao Chao asked me.

" Yes..... you are too dull to fool us." , Xia Chun told me .

" That is also for same reason. While we were sitting there you both were staring at each other as if you wanted to say lost of things. It was clear that you love each other and I felt myself as a third party disturbing your romantic moment. So I simply told that I want to go to washroom . I wanted to know who will propose whom and how or you were already dating each other since the first day. So I left my phone in recording mode. But when I came back their was no conversation in it from you two. The whole clip was silent. I thought you didn't talk at all after I left so I didn't give it much thought . Listening to your question I feel like the actual story behind it is something else." I told them looking at their eyes .

Miss Chao Chao looked at Xia Chun angrily and Xia Chun apologized Miss Chao Chao with his eyes. She ordered everyone to put their gun down including Xia Chun. They all obeyed to her command and left for their respective work.

Miss Chao Chao helped me stand on my own feet and also helped me walk till the varendra where we sat every evening. Xia Chun kept looking towards the ground. I knew he was feeling guilty and also nervous that I might tell someone about them that they have guns or maybe it's me who was overthinking due to the situation I was in. I was still shivering involuntarily. Miss Chao Chao tried to calm me down by pulling me into a warm hug and apologized to me for such behaviour.

" I am sorry for whatever happened. Actually we were tricked by many people in the name of helping so we made different groups within the village who will be responsible for different tasks and we are responsible for security purpose. So we are kind of paranoid. Please don't mind our behaviour. Please calm down we don't hurt any innocent people." , Miss Chao Chao tried to explain the situation in brief as much as she could.

I must say her words along with such warm hug really helped me calm myself. Xia Chun also apologized to me for the behaviour. I could understand their insecurities so I forgave them after sometime.

" Why don't you take help from the police station ? " , unable to hold my curiosity I asked them directly.

Immediately their face dropped and the eyes which was filled with guilt a few seconds ago turned into red in rage. They both curled their hands into a fist as soon as I mentioned the word police. I understood I should stop here and not push my luck too much.
