Texas Red: Reincarnated Into Fallout New Vegas With A Sarcastic System

Everyone likes New Vegas, right!? How could you not? The amazingly detailed lore, the realistic characters, and factions, death and killing! Of course, there are many other reasons why Fallout New Vegas Is a generally a good game. Why am I saying this? Because I got reincarnated WITH THIS STUPID ASS SYSTEM. [Shut up before I take your powers away] Yeah, haha, sorry! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey, Decke/Author here. Just wanna say that I'm a big fan of this other fan-fic on here called Steele Waste, quite a good story, would recommend it. I just wanted to make a nice, funny, yet realistic story. I am quite new to stories but I'm sure I can do good! Critics and insults are welcome, not like I can control it anyway ALSO! I'm quite new to this site and I'm busy with school etc. i will update but not like other authors on here WHO UPLOAD LIKE 14 CHAPTERS A WEEK??? Just insane. So yeah, expect relatively slow updates ------------------------------------------------------------------- Cover art by Colins Arc's Art on Tumbler

Angel Is Dust- The Ride

[Sorry about the updates I had Covid, everything will continue as normal]

"I was just finishing up, Garcia, I'm ready," I said calmly.

Garcia looked over to his worried parents. "I'll kill that son of a bitch, I'll be back," Garcia said with venom in his voice.

"Please, my son, please just come back safe," Qxitil said with tears in her eyes.

"I will, I promise I will," Garcia said while holding his mother.

The old man Pacho I believe was silently looking at his son. He slowly reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a small gold and turquoise trinket.

"My father gave this to me before I went to war myself, he is a dangerous man, my son. Find her, and save her," Pacho said before giving his son the trinket in his hand and then hugging him.

Garcia stayed still for a minute, just there hugging his parents for what he knows possibly the last time. He then turned towards his daughter, who was also crying her eyes off and hugged her too.

"I promise, Faleena, I'll bring her back home, even if it costs me my life," Garcia said, with tears dripping from his eyes.

...Damn. It's like watching a damn Telenovela! I've just been standing here, hands-on my belt, waiting for them to say goodbye. This isn't something you should interrupt after all.

"Hey, Jose, let's get you ready," I heard Blind Owls' raspy voice behind me.

As much as I would love to watch and see this scene play out, I do have a job to complete.

I walked out towards Blind Owl who was leaning against the giant wooden door that led outside the Ranch.

"Here, we'll sure as hell need all the ammunition we can get. Angel is a lot of things, but a bad fighter he is not," Blind Owl said, throwing me two leather bandoliers that were full of bullets.

[LEATHER BANDOLEER (100 12-GAUGE SHELLS), LEATHER BANDOLIER (100 .357 ROUNDS) ADDED]

Shotgun ammo?

"Thank you for the extra ammo.." I said gratefully. "But why the shotgun shells?" I asked, fully geared with the bandoliers strapped across my chest.

"You think you could take on Angel with just your pistols? He's not that trivial sadly, no, what you need is firepower," He said, while we walked out the Ranch.

What the fuck? Next to a dozen or so Mexican men with bandoliers and guns, we're giant black....horses???? I thought there wasn't any in the Fallout universe though? Fuck I can't remember.... still thank God! I wouldn't like to walk like 1500 miles to Nevada…. Anyway the horses were all black, not a single spec of anything else. They weren't like normal horses, they were taller and skinner.

Blind Owl jogged up next to his horse, put his foot in the stirrup and then jumped into the saddle all in one move."Everyone! Quickly Saddle up, we're leaving soon!" Blind Owl said roughly. He grabbed a nearby rein from a horse that was tied up up, he then led the horse over to me.

"Here," He said in his rough voice, "Saddle up, your shotguns sheathed on your saddle. And treat Silver here good, he's getting up there in the ages,"

Blind Owl then tossed me Silver's rein. Sliver himself was a beautiful horse, he had beautiful black fur, which was stained by gray on his face. I guess he is old.

Looking into Sliver's eyes I noticed they were very calm, almost like he didnt care what was going on. Most horses have a goofy look on their faces because they were not used for much besides human company. This looked like he was about to go to work.

"Thank you, Blind Owl, I'll treat him well," I said with a smile.

Blind Owl nodded in advance before riding off towards the other men. I walked towards the side of Silver and inspected his saddle. It was a brown saddle, well worn down by use and it looked to be a bit old. Probably a backup saddle. On the right side of the saddle was a long leather sheath that covered the entire side of Silver, the shotgun I guess.

I took a step back and prepared myself to get into the saddle, I took a quick step forward and swiftly put my foot in the stirrup and grabbed the horn at the top of the saddle and pulled, I then put my other foot over and adjusted the saddle.

"You're a real natural, son" Garcia said. Scared by his sudden appearance,I jerked back.

"Neigh!!!! Grouh" The horse neighed and then snorted because of my janky movement.

"Watch it there, cowboy, don't wanna get knocked off now do you?" Blind Owl said behind me.

Garcia laughed, "Be careful, friend, we got a long ride ahead of us," Garcia said with a very serious face.

Just to let y'all know I spelt Faleena wrong this entire time so just ignore that thanks see y'all tomorrow
