14 Chapter 14 - Arrival

Lilith Multiverse

Taimanin World

Japan, Maesaki City.

Day 2.

12:30 Pm, August 12, 2078, Friday.

Testament and Shiranui are currently at a restaurant waiting for their lunch to arrive. The phantom Taimanin wanted to know more about her king and grow closer even though their relationship started out strange and far from being traditional.

Hearing her question, the incubus god finds himself contemplating if he should share what he is able to discern and remember? Can he trust Shiranui?

Of course, he knows that she is enslaved by him and won't ever betray him doesn't mean his confidence that his enemy has no way of breaking it if they wish to or if they're loopholes in the condition.

However, Testament doesn't want to act like a lone wolf nor an edgy that thinks he can do everything alone. Technically he can but he doesn't want to be lonely.

'Lonely huh?'

He winces a bit seemingly having an impactful event in his past life that involved loneliness but couldn't remember everything. Testament was certain his friends were reliable but doesn't know if something has happened for it to change.

"Truth to be told, I couldn't remember much but I trust you, Shiranui and it's only fair if we're going to stick together, especially that you're carrying my child."

Testament felt like it's already been days since he arrived yet it hasn't been 24 hours since he found himself in the Taimanin world. Shiranui softly smiled, rubbing her belly that had life growing inside her.

"If it's a painful memory then you don't have to force yourself." Shiranui has a regretful past that she buried deep inside the back of her mind.

"No, it's fine. Anyway, the thing is that I came from another world."

Testament started to tell things about his past life that he was certain to be a memory and experience. Though, he tries to be vague since he doesn't want to reveal that her world is a work of depraved fiction.

"Another world? Like the dark world?" Shinarui asked and Testament shook his head.

"No, I'm certain it's a different plain of reality with its own set of rules." Testament paused for a moment before continuing.

"Unfortunately, I don't remember my name, the name of my family nor do I recall the names of my friends. Everything is blurry that I can't fully confirm if what I'm remembering are memories or just my imagination." He explained and Shiranui was shocked about what she was learning but calmly listened.

"But I know that I lived a relatively great life with loving parents and friends back in my world." Testament said and Shiranui had a pained expression.

"Then are you planning on returning once you recall everything?" She was worried that he might abandon her and Testament shook its head.

"No, by the time that happened I would already have grown attached to this world. And won't leave any time soon."

Testament believed that his past life doesn't matter anymore because he's not the same person as better. He is not even sure his memories are truly his or not.

Shiranui looked relieved hearing his words but at the same time guilty. He is alone with no one to rely on beside himself.

"...it means you're alone without anyone to go to." She muttered softly while Testament smiled.

"No, I have you now. Though, I'm still trying to adjust and wrap my head around the situation. I'm fine, all thanks to you I don't feel as saddened as I should."

It's true. Not because he slept with him but because she kept him company. If things went differently then he would be more than happy to simply have her by his side. Her eyes widened in surprise before smiling.

"You can always rely on me if you need a shoulder to lean on since you made me your succubus queen then it's natural we share our burdens." He simply nodded and said.

"Thank you, that means a lot, Shiranui-san." Testament said and Shiranui smiled. They fell silent for a moment, having an awkward atmosphere until one of them spoke.

"Enough about me, I want to know more about you Shiranui-san." Testament said.

"Just call me Shiranui when we're alone." Shiranui said.

"Alright Shiranui." This made her smile brightly.

"That's better. Now, what's it that you like to know?"

Shiranui said the Testament reminded of the dating Renpy adult ero game he used to play. He decided to ask her likes, dislikes, dreams and other things as they learn more about each other until their food arrives.

Testament was curious about a few things but didn't try to push like why she hasn't retired as Taimanin among other things.

It's likely she tried but seeing that she is one of the strongest and more experienced Taimanin means it is difficult to let her go.

"This smells heavenly~" He commented, taking a whiff of the steam coming from the chicken curry rice. Shiranui giggled seeing his reaction.

"Umu I told you this place serves quite an amazing selection of curry dishes. I always tried to recreate it ever since I tried it." Shiranui commented as they began to dig in their food, clearly enjoying the food from their eyes alone.

"Woah, it tastes even better! This is incredibly delicious!" Testament said enjoying the tangy flavor of the spices.

"Glad you like it. I was worried you wouldn't like it." Shiranui said and the two continued to eat their lunch enjoying the atmosphere and their meal until the two finished and paid for the food.

"I think we should go now since it will take us a few hours to arrive in Gosha village and it would be bad if we came at night." Shiranui said.

"Alright, but have you informed them about me? It might cause an uproar if I intrude?" Testament asked.

"Don't worry, I've already called my friend and explained the situation. It's likely you'll meet important people in the village in a few days so in order to know if you could be trusted." Shiranui has a large influence in Gosha Village while Testament inwardly facepalm recalling that two enemies had already infiltrated the place.

'The villains have more plot armor than the main characters…' Testament deeply sighs inside his mind and said.

"I don't mind. Once again, I'll be in your care, Shiranui-sa—" Testament was about to add honorific when Shiranui frowned, stopping for a moment and said.

"...I mean, Shiranui." Testament pretended to cough and this made her happy as the two continued their way to the train station. They bought some snacks along the way to occupy themselves throughout the ride.

Testament sat close to the window while Shiranui sat beside him, currently taking a short nap leaning on his shoulder. The people looked at the Testament weirdly since his outfit was foreign and uncommon to see.

'The more I gain my memory, the more I realize how horrible this world is. A nerf version of Warhammer 40k.'

He thought recalling a few things like the Dark future timeline of Taimanin brought upon creatures called brain flayers that cross dimensions that enslave multiple universes.

'Too many troubles, I should face it one at a time.' Testament thought as he glances over to the sleeping Shiranui.

'Still, they better start praying if they try to mess with us.' He thought eager to slices them to pieces and torture them. After some time, they soon arrived at the Gosha Village or rather at the train stop and Testament glanced over to his partner.

"Shiranui, it's time to wake up, we're here."

He nudged her gently and her eyes slowly opened staring at his eyes then leaned in to take a kiss. It was a quick peck surprising him but didn't push her away until she pulled back and yawned while stretching

"I didn't expect for me to sleep that long. Thanks for letting me sleep on your shoulder." The two soon got off their seats and got out of the train. The items that they bought were already placed in his inventory.

"Hold on, let me call someone to pick us up." Shiranui took out her phone and took a quick phone call then waited for the person to arrive.

In the meantime, Testament surveyed the area and noticed that the place had strong barriers that ward off demons and prevent normal people from finding their place.

Soon enough, a car pulled over and what came out was a person that had red eyes and a skull shape mask on his face, his main body is made out of red energy, but he wears butler clothes over it.

Testament could sense the person was human at the same time not. A soul trapped inside something. They appear to be a ghost that is still able to hold onto their thoughts and cognitive abilities since ghosts and spirits typically lose sanity after death.
