Making it back to the country just a week before the Lunar New Year's holidays, how fortunate was he?
Lin FenXiang couldn't help but sigh in relief as he contemplated his timely decision to return home before the public holidays. Without even mentioning how many people would be on the roads on their way home, he would surely have gotten stuck in hours upon hours of traffic had he decided to postpone his return.
Sure, once he got back home, the first thing that greeted him was the worried fretting and reprimands of his family rather than a normal welcome.
Not that he had expected any less from them. He shuddered at the memory of the thunderous expression on Father and Mother Lin's faces as they reprimanded him for essentially going MIA for two months.
Next came his siblings' worries which took him quite some time to soothe. It wasn't easy, but their naked concern and affection for him were as warming as it was heartening.
