Rewards and Official Top Ten Alliance

Leo took a breath of fresh air when the dust from the skirmish finally died down. He immediately shouted out,"Soldiers! Gather up the survivors and bring them to the center of the camp! If you find any more trash… just get rid of it!"

The soldiers didn't need to be told twice and quickly went to gather up all the people still left in the camp.

Leo was slightly excited as well saddened at how his plan to invade the camp ended up. He had brainstormed with his men, when one of them asked him if he had some sort of skill that could fool the enemies. After thinking about it for a while, Leo figured out that all he had to do was cast his water spheres and then explode them into a water mist/smoke variant. Leo also discovered in this brainstorm session that even when the water turned into a vapor he could still control the water.

This gave Leo a brilliant Idea to deal with the camp. First he would "cast a spell" that would 'fail' and turn into mist. The mist will then travel towards the Jarls camp, by the time the mist got to the center Leo had high suspicions that Jarl and his men would at least have some Idea forming on what was going on. Third, as they are distracted by the mist, Leo and his men, now covered in mud and foliage to camouflage better, make a break for the camp. They get as close to the camp as possible or get inside if able and try to kill or subdue some of the people before the water mist reformed and slammed to the ground.

Finally, Leo would slam the water ball into the ground, making a pseudo-water bomb, and creating a very misty terrain that would have low visibility for the enemies. Leo and the soldiers would quickly eliminate everyone in the confusion and claim victory!

To be fair, Leo had done everything in his plan, and to his credit it did work. However, Leo's heart was burdened when he thought about the people who didn't survive. Leo guessed that when his bomb dropped it hit some of the civilians in the crossfire.

Leo bit his lip and drew a little blood as he reflected on his mistake. Perhaps if he had thought about those kinds of consequences those people would still be alive. Leo took this hard lesson on the nose and re-collected himself with a deep breath.

Leo directly took out the two treasure chests and the skill book he had received. Leo saw the Bronze and the Iron chest and quickly opened them to see his rewards.

Leo's eyes suddenly bulged at the rewards! Truly quests like these gave the best rewards! This was the first time he was given a random side quest and the rewards were outstanding! Leo quietly decided to never ignore a sidequest in the future.

Leo wondered what the special unit was and asked the system aloud,"System, are you able to identify this special unit before summoning?"

[Yes, Lord Leo. Special units are soul specific to lords who pick up these special units.]

Leo's eyebrows raised slightly when he heard the system say that in his head. He thought to himself,"Soul specific? What the f-"

Leo shook his head and ignored that haunting feeling that he was a very small frog in a very deep well. He asked the system,"Can you tell me about the unit in this scroll?"

[The unit contained in this scroll is Tod Helin - Orange Grade Cartographer]

Leo was suddenly very excited as he thought about the map that he would soon get his hands on! He was so excited he could barely think, maps and information on territory and defensible position were invaluable information for any kingdom!

Trying to put his excitement to the side, he looked at the villagers who had huddled up in front of him. Leo remembered that he still had the skill book. So he took it out and tried to open the book.

[Lord Hint: Subordinate skills and Killer skills function the exact same way, with the only difference being skills obtained from killing another lord or lord existence do not get cut by 1/10 for the lord to absorb as a new innate skill, such as is the case with the subordinate skills]

Leo read the description and thought to himself,"Isn't this just telling us to kill each other?" However he learned the skill anyways and the system gave him the information he needed as he felt a warm feeling spread throughout his body.

[The Lords Eyes (Evolved Skill) - This skill used to be known as [Analysis] which was a support skill so common that even beggars could gain access to it. It allowed the user to identify objects, their grades, and the general information about said objects. However, through a strange divine-level power forced this skill to evolve into this ultra-rare skill! This skill can see through all!]

Leo sucked in a cold breath through his teeth and could feel the information the skill was feeding him. Leo looked up at the captured civilians he rescued and instantly Leo could tell the difference. Analysis stated it could only see the properties of inanimate objects such as weapons and armor, however this skill could see through all the people in front of Leo!

Leo focused on 1 of the villagers near him and he could see the person's information!

[Park Jun: Grew up in a very religious household, was often abused by his father and uncle, and became cold to his family. After becoming of age, he left his small village to adventure the world! However, after only a year and half in the wild, he was captured by a war band known as Jarls Camp. His life did not end here though as he was saved by his new lord the 'Water God']

Leo flinched when he read the words 'Water God' and chuckled to himself. Leo slowly walked around the people and pretty much ignored the descriptions and was only focused on seeing if there were any good talents in this bunch.

It seemed luck favored him and he found a young man among the crowd who seemed good enough to nurture.

Leo looked the young man up and down and was satisfied greatly with this skill! He looked at the young man in his emerald eyes and asked him,"Kris Cross, I believe you have potential, will you join my army and become stronger under me?"

Kris nodded his head vigorously and said,"I will not disappoint you!"

Leo watched his job in the information go from "Jobless" and change into "Soldier" and he nodded his head in appreciation. Leo realized that while this was great for his territory it was indeed a much greater tool of information for his enemies! With this he could peek at his enemies information, which made this an invaluable tool!

Leo pulled one of his mass teleportation scroll out and told the villagers,"I will now teleport you all back to my city here you can integrate there! Kris, you stay with me."

After getting all the people together, he activated the teleport scroll and all the people in front of him disappeared as Leo subconsciously felt that more people had entered into his borders!

Leo decided that this camp, although destroyed partially, was still the best option for his soldiers to rest. He instructed some of the soldiers to gather the bulls near the camp and to fortify the position a bit so any passerby wouldn't attack them. As Kris went to join the soldiers Leo sat down and started to build a fire.

Leo checked in on the alliance while he was starting the fire. Leo was pleasantly surprised when saw that 4 more lords had joined the alliance!

Even more great news occurred as he checked the group chat as two notifications went off globally at almost the same time!

[World notification: Lord Deniz has founded his city, and has obtained..]

[World notification: Lord Denize Achievement will be recorded in the hall of fame..]

Leo immediately sent both of those lord the invitation to the top ten alliance and only needed to wait a few moments before it was accepted by both parties.

Leo hopped into the chat with full attention now that the fire was up and going. Leo put a pot of water over the fire and dived into the alliance chat.

[Leo: Hello all fellow lords! I am Leo from America, from the state of Texas. I welcome everyone to the Top Ten Alliance!]

Leo smiled as he read off each of the names and countries that had gotten to the top ten alliance first. No one could say he was biased as this was completely random!*

[Leo: I think for our first meeting we should see if there's anything the other lords are lacking, and see if we can either fill that quota with trade, or be on the lookout for something to fill those gaps!]

[Hariom: As long as it is fair trade that is acceptable! I need food production in my territory as the food takes longer to grow here for some reason I have not been able to discern yet!]

[Ichika: You can get a good trade with me as I produce an excess due to my talent]

[Leo: I have some excess as well]

[Luca: +1]

[Valeria: Does anyone have any livestock they can trade to me so I can at least start a livestock industry?]

[Hariom: Ah actually I can help with that as I have already started breeding some leatherback sheep turtles]

[Leo: If you have enough, I would also like to get in on this trade!]

[Hariom: I can get you a few each as starter seeds for future flocks if that is agreeable?]

[Both: Yep!]

Leo smiled as he traded some of his resources and food from his overbearing stockpile for these resources as the alliance chat continued to roll by as the trades continued! Leo's heart surged with ambition as he thought about the future.
