Class 3-E

Kunugigaoka Junior Highschool, renowned as one of the top schools in all of Tokyo. Many parents choose to send their kids here, tempted by the high rate of successful students who graduated from it.

Of course, to be a top school, it has to differentiate itself from other schools. A unique system known as the "E System", created by its chairman. It's based on the 20:20:60 worker ant ratio that basically goes: 20% are exceptional, 20% are worthless, and 60% are ordinary.

Every student is required to excel in their classes in order to avoid being sent to Class E. A class designated as undesirable, where everyone will do everything to avoid being sent to.

It worked. Amazingly too. Kunugigaoka never stopped producing successful students. It built a reputation of being a place where only the best can go to.

Ordinary students aren't welcome, only the elites.

**********

"This is the place?"

In front of the Class E building, located about a kilometer away from the main campus, a bespectacled student glanced at the rundown building in front.

"Class E huh? How bad can it be?" Running a hand down his messy black hair, the student entered the building at a relaxed pace.

Coming inside, he found himself inside a corridor. He looked around, noticing a signboard at the ceiling.

"The classroom is on the right." Fixing his glasses, he walked leisurely to the right and stopped in front of a traditional sliding door.

Grabbing the door handle, the door slid open, revealing the current situation inside the classroom.

It was silent. Not something one would expect from a class where 'failures' are sent to. There's no laughter or any kind of chatter. Just a deafening silence, only broken by the sound of the students' breathing.

'Well, as expected. No one would feel like messing around after knowing what they actually signed up for.' The student closed the door and examined the room.

There are only a few in the classroom at this time. Each one uninterested with him, minding their own business. There's a list on the wall that has their seating arrangements.

Taking a seat at the last row and second to the last column, the student grabbed a book from his bag and started reading, ignoring the surroundings. After all, this might be the only time he can have silence. Who knew what would happen once the target finally appeared?

**********

'Why is everyone so quiet?'

Seated at the front, a student thought to himself. His brown eyes kept darting everywhere, trying to find an opportunity to break the uncomfortable silence in the classroom.

'Argh, this won't do! We're a class so we should befriend each other right? How will that happen if no one will talk?' He scratched his blonde hair in exasperation.

Time passed, and more students came in. It's almost full, yet no one is talking. Steeling himself after a deep breath, the student stood up and faced his classmates.

"Everyone!" His loud voice attracted almost everyone's attention. Feeling the eyes on him, the student didn't falter and continued with a smile.

"We would be classmates for the rest of the school year. We should get to know each other by doing introductions!"

"I'll go first! My name is Yosuke Hirata. I like every sport, but I prefer to play soccer. I hope to be friends with everyone!" The student, Yosuke, ended his introduction with a smile and a small bow. He finally did it. Hopefully someone comes next and it won't be awkward.

"I'll go next!" Yosuke secretly sighed in relief. He turned towards the person who spoke: a girl with golden hair and violet eyes.

"My name is Kei Karuizawa! I like chocolates! I hope to have a fun school year with everyone!" Following which, the girl flashes a blinding smile.

"I'll go next..."

With that, students started introducing themselves one by one. Most students paid attention, except for a few. One believes herself to be better than everyone, one believes it to be a waste of time, and one just really can't be bothered to stop reading.

A female student stood up, smiling lightly. She put a hand on her chest and bowed as she spoke.

"Arisu Sakayanagi. A pleasure to meet all of you."

Afterwards, she sat down gracefully, exuding the aura of a rich young lady. Some students instantly found themselves feeling inferior to her.

After Arisu sat down, the students' eyes fell onto the one sitting next to her. It was the bespectacled student from earlier, still reading a book in silence, unaware of his surroundings.

Seeing no movement from the young man, the situation started to feel a little awkward. As if god's saving grace at this moment, Arisu tapped the student's shoulder.

"Excuse me, it's your turn." Arisu whispered.

The student turned away his gaze from the book and titled his head in confusion.

"Turn to what?"

"Introduction. Everyone else has done so." Arisu answered after a little silence.

Hearing this, the student went "oooh" before standing up.

"Yuji Yamasaki."

And he sat down and went back to reading.

The students' eyes fell onto the one sitting to Yuji's left: a female student with long black hair with a cold face.

Seeing that she has no intention of introducing herself, everyone felt exasperated. It's okay if it's just Yuji, at least he was busy reading a book. But come on, you clearly know you're up next.

Pressured by the stares, the girl stood up with a click of her tongue. Her nose up in the air, everyone instantly knew why she's in Class E.

"Suzune Horikita."

And she sat back down quickly after.

The stares found themselves at a young man with brown hair and eyes, with no emotion visible on his face. Seeing him standing up by himself, everyone secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

"Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. Nice to meet you."

As he sat down, the door to the room slid open. Everyone turned their gaze over, seeing a man entering their classroom.

He was tall, with spiky black hair and piercing black eyes. He wore a black suit, looking professional and proper. The students couldn't help but feel slightly intimidated by him.

"I'm Tadaomi Karasuma. The Ministry of Defense sent me as an agent to supervise your target. I will also be acting as your P E teacher, so call me Karasuma-sensei." Karasuma's eyes went through each student, most being unable to meet his eyes and opting to look down.

"Now then, I believe you all know about what you should do over the next school year." Karasuma slammed a folder on the podium.

"That is, to kill your teacher before graduation."

wow, a new story.

i wonder how many chapters will the author write before eventually dropping it.

that aside, I've always wanted to write this story. assassination classroom and classroom of the elite is too compatible with each other.

besides, these psychopath students would be better assassins. but dont worry, there's still many original Class E students that will be here. i only added a few characters from COTE after all.

aight thats all. comment and review(which might be too soon)
