16 Chapter 16: True Light

On a certain sunny morning, if one were to climb to the top of the World Tree, they would find a bizarre sight.

Its been about year since Gin went to the top of the World Tree to absorb energy to awaken as a True Dragon.

Sitting motionless atop a highest single branch of the tree, Gin has been still the entire year, not moving a single bit.

By meditating and focusing to an extreme extent, Gin had been absorbing the light of the sun, as well as the natural energy of the World Tree. As True Dragons are forces of nature, adding nature energy wouldn't be tainting her energy reserves.

Gin's EP Value hadn't increased by much, only by as much as her natural aging would allow. However, the amount of absorbed energy was different, as it would easily double her EP Value once she chose to consume it, allowing her to evolve straight away.

However, she decided to not evolve right away. Even though she was nearing the limit on how much energy she could absorb, Gin was waiting on a specific moment before she would awaken.

She wouldn't have to wait long though, as the moment for evolution was rapidly approaching, giving her a few hours to mentally prepare.

The moment would be when Rudra would activate the Ultimate Skill [Justice King Michael] and us [Armageddon] to summon an army of angels. Using this would send vast amounts of Holy energy into the sky, as well as open a portal to Heaven, which contains even more untapped Holy energy.

Plus, doing this would scare away the angels who would attack the World Tree, which was part of her agreement with the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion.

Gin didn't need to defend the Dwarves, as they had full protection from being underground. The Puppet Nation Jistav would most likely get attacked, but now that Kagali had powered up, it wouldn't be a problem for her. And Rudra had already agreed to not attack Gin's Dragon Kingdom, so Gin didn't need to worry one bit.

With her thoughts organized, and feeling positive without any worries, Gin continued meditating, not budging at all.

Later that day, when the reached its peak, Gin felt it was time.

Invisible Holy energy had flooded the skies. And a moment later, a bright set of double doors had appeared high in the sky, opening to a scene of pure light.

Right before any angels could leave the portal, Gin had used [Entertainment King Dionysus] to pull vast amounts of energy from Heaven, essentially draining the portal of all its energy, causing it to close.

On the other side of the world, Rudra had easily felt what Gin was doing, but laughed and rerouted the angels to countries north of the elves, towards other countries in the various Western Nations area.

While Gin took energy from heaven, she consumed all the energy she had absorbed over the past year from the sun and World Tree, as well as energy from her subordinates using [Entertainment King Dionysus]'s [System Chain], causing her body to glow with the white light of evolution.

Consuming all this energy at once had taken a tole on Gin, causing her to feel an aching pain all throughout her body even though she had [Abnormal Status Nullification].

With the Holy Energy from Heaven, Light and Heat Energy from the Sun, Natural Energy from the World Tree, and Draconic Energy from her subordinates, Gin's EP Value spikes from 658,002 to over 1.8 Million.

The light of the sun, light from Heaven, as well as her light of evolution had made Gin look like heaven was enlightening her. Unknowingly, humans had seen this scene, and mistakenly thought that a hero from the Elves was born.

Staying awake as she was evolving, Gin heard a brilliant voice.

Being conscious while awakening, Gin was very excited at first, hearing her skills evolve and gaining new skills. But listening to [Great Sage] attempt to evolve for more than a day, with hundreds if not thousands of attempts every second got old real quickly. Then with [Detective], Gin zoned out, missing his last skill [Luck] evolving into [Fortune King Fortuna].

Waking up right when the evolution finished, Gin got up off the top of the World Tree and looked around.

Nothing seemed out of place, as the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion didn't look any different than it did last week.

But looking further into the distance, Gin saw many towns and cities devastated by the angels. The angels were slowly leaving as it had almost been a full week, but most of them were still attacking.

Hovering higher in the sky, Gin finally moved out of her meditative position. It had been a full year of meditating to absorb energy, but Gin's muscles weren't sore and instead overflowing with energy.

'Hey [Great Sage], give me a rundown of my gains from the evolution'

[True clone] has the ability to make a single clone which has 100% of your strength, and 50% of your EP Value (A/N: Basically Velgrynd's cloning ability, but only 1).

Your resistances have evolved into Nullifications, but you can still be injured if the opponent is strong enough.

The Intrinsic Skill [Battle Mode] transforms you into a male humanoid form, specializing in precise power.

The Intrinsic Skill [Magic Mode] transforms you into a female humanoid form, specializing in precise magic.

The Intrinsic Skill [Destruction Mode] transforms you into a genderless dragon, specializing in mass destruction using both magic and brute force.

The Intrinsic Skill [Neutral Mode] transforms you into a genderless Humanoid form, not specializing in anything. [Neutral Mode] also prevents the user from being forcefully transformed by any outside force while the skill is in use an lasts up to 24 hours after the user's form is changed.

The Ultimate Skill [Wisdom King Raphael] is the same as Rimuru Tempest's but also includes [Merciless].

The Ultimate Skill [Detective King Sherlock] had 5 main effects:

'WOW THAT'S SO COOL' Gin said, interrupting [Raphael] before she could reveal her last skill.

Gin didn't know that she had another Ultimate Skill, and thought that [Raphael] had finished.

Plus, Gin was excited that she was now able to revert to her original gender.

She tried transforming into each of her forms, but realized that her [Destruction Mode] was very inconvenient. Her dragon form had increased in size to match the other True Dragons. It was perfect for causing destruction, but not much else.

Her Gender Neutral form was fairy comfortable, but it was confusing not having anything down there. However, this form did have the added bonus of being the closest to what Rimuru had.

Trying on her male form, Gin realized that she didn't look like her old self before reincarnating, but instead a more masculine version of her current self.

Lastly, her female form instantly grew up, looking around the same age as Velgrynd and Velzard. This was cool and all, but Gin got a little disoriented with her more accentuated body, and chose to stay in her [Neutral Mode].

Going into her inventory to take out clothes and equipment, her previous Legend class katana had absorbed a cast amount of her excess Magicules, evolving into a Mythic sword. The weight, size, and style of the sword stayed the same, but the previous rainbow aura of the sword changed into a white light, the same as Gin's aura. The previous black and grey sword sheath also became white, the same color as the sword handle.

Flying down the tree, Gin was greeted by Sarion and Sylvia.

"Thank you so much for protecting us!" The said while bowing 90 degrees. The two rulers were very thankful, because if they didn't have Gin's protection, many elves would have died.

"No no no, please raise your heads. You don't need to bow. We had a deal, and I'm only keeping my end of it." Gin said, being polite back. She was a believer in rulers not bowing their heads, as well as keeping good relations with other strong countries, so of course Gin would not accept this extreme version of a thanks.

Still, Sarion and Sylvia were very thankful, and told Gin that she was welcome to come back any time. Plus, Sylvia was having a child and Gin was invited to meet her when she was born.

Gin obviously accepted, knowing that the child would be Elmesia, the future Empress.

Leaving the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion, Gin received a message from Guy saying that they are going to have a meeting in two nights, the night of the full moon . Multiple strong beings had appeared through this crisis, and Guy had already contacted them, inviting them to become Demon Lords.

Gin was excited to see everyone again, and with her new strength, even though she still had less Magicules than Milim and Guy, she wasn't any weaker. Or so she thought.

To prepare for the first Walpurgis after the Angel's attack, Gin teleported home to meet her citizens.
