I Forgot About That... {Part 2}

(YOU CAN SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH/s) Small Side Word~ I discovered Grammarly! It's low-key, almost not very useful for novel writing, but it's good for spelling, and punctuation, but not story structure since they make it sound bland or would recommend it to be this and that, making it non-immersive or not very sensory engaging (for me)..., and sometimes when creating dialogue it doesn't have to have perfect grammar but it goes red... another useful feature is synonyms! I only have the free version, so maybe that's why it isn't very useful since my normal keyboard can also do spelling and punctuation to a degree... plus a limited amount of rephrasing of sentences (doesn't even allow gory or NSFW content to be rephrased... I did some testings *wink* *wink*...)... I'm broke. I ain't gonna buy the premium version...

Anyways~ I continued with the immersive writing style from the previous short chapter, since I like it and none of you seem to voice any opinions on recommendations if I should stop with wordy detailing, soo~

E'voila!~

||Short Recap||

...

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed three massive columns that resembled those found in ancient Greek architecture. They were sturdy and beautifully crafted with intricate marble patterns that depicted lifelike vines. A delicate silvery curtain adorned the top, draping and shimmering with iridescence.

As I snapped out of my trance, I looked around and realized that I was standing on a circular platform that seemed like an island. The three columns were placed in a semi-circle pattern along the circumference of the island. In the center of it all, there was a sapphire-colored sphere...

It was about the size of a yoga ball in my old world... it seemed to float from the ground, about chest height, for easy access...

I went closer to the ball...

When I approached, I was immediately struck by the sudden illumination of the ball at its center. The draping curtains from the three pillars transformed before my eyes, morphing into threads of silver light that connected to various points on the surface of the ball. Some threads clumped together in a single area while others were more isolated, creating a web-like pattern that seemed to pulse with energy.

As I got closer, the faint light on its surface coalesced into intricate details. I couldn't believe what I was seeing - the ball's surface was covered in miniature replicas of mountains, forests, bodies of water, and even settlements. The level of detail was astounding, down to the individual buildings and trees. It was like looking into a tiny, glowing world that had sprung to life before my very eyes.

I stood there, completely entranced, taking in the breathtaking sight before me. It was as if I had stumbled upon a secret, magical place that had been hidden away from the world, but now it was revealed to me in all its glory.

...

"I-is this... my ultimate skill...?" I stuttered, shocked.

I was eager to learn about its effects using 『Identify』, but the spell failed to provide any answers. It was as if my ultimate skill was enshrouded in a thick mist, hiding it from peering eyes...

I don't know if it was simply because my 『Identify』 was an inferior skill in comparison, or if this was simply part of my ultimate skill's features which avoids detection...

It didn't really matter... I'm bored, I have nothing to do, so I might as well take my time and explore!

...

As I gazed at the miniature replica of a world, my eyes were drawn to the silvery threads that seemed to sway and move slightly, connecting the world to its inhabitants.

The threads were intricate, weaving a complex web between the small, bipedal creatures that I recognized as humans. I wondered if they were the same humans that I was familiar with, or perhaps the original version of them from the current timeline, known as High Humans.

As I followed the threads, I saw that they connected to every corner of the world, stretching across oceans, mountains, and deserts. Each thread seemed to represent a unique connection between the world and its inhabitants, linking them in a delicate dance of life and existence.

I was amazed at the level of detail that was captured in the miniature world and the intricate connections that made it all possible. It was a true marvel of engineering and creativity, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe as I continued to gaze at the silvery threads and the world they represented.

The populace under discussion here is relatively small, with only a few tens or hundreds of thousands of people scattered across the world. Most of them are clustered in settlements, while some prefer to live in more remote areas, possibly traveling. These settlements are not grand or imposing structures, like towering castles or sprawling metropolises. Instead, they seem quite small and underwhelming, resembling nothing more than villages and perhaps small cities. Despite this, they are still home to a significant number of people who have established a community and a way of life that suits them.

'It seems Twilight Valentine has been busy these past hundreds of years to have this many High Humans... maybe even some of these "threads" were vampires...

I scanned the silvery thread and where they connected. After half an hour of searching, I saw weird threads that seemed to pass through the ground, numbering maybe about a few thousand...

It is not uncommon for there to be an underground community, given the fact that Twilight Valentine, the creator of sunlight-intolerant Vampires, exists. His creation of Vampires has led to the formation of a subterranean society that is well-adapted to the darkness.

While Twilight Valentine has been portrayed as a mad scientist with a penchant for experimentation, there is no denying that he played a crucial role in the creation of various Demi-humans that will eventually populate this world. His contribution to the development of this world cannot be overlooked. Despite his questionable methods and reputation, I still believe that he is an important character. After all... he is the one who will eventually create the elves and dwarves in this world, a staple in a world of fantasy and magic!~

"This skill is kinda fun! it's like having a touchscreen TV, I can even watch what they're doing!" I said in amazement as I continued to stare at the miniature world.

As I sat there watching, the world around me seemed to come alive. There was so much activity, so much going on. Some people were working hard, their muscles glistening with sweat as they lifted heavy objects or tended to the land. Others were off on wild adventures, exploring the world and discovering new things. And then there were those who were practicing magic, casting spells, and creating wondrous things.

But amidst all this activity, some were engaged in more questionable pursuits. I couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed as I watched two people "wrestling" with each other, their smiles suggesting that there was more going on than mere "exercise". But as I thought about it more, I realized that they were probably just happy and in love, and that was something to be celebrated...

Despite all the different things happening around me, I couldn't help feeling a bit bored. Perhaps it was because I felt like a mere observer, watching from the outside while others lived their lives to the fullest. But even as I felt this way, I knew that there was so much more to see and experience, and I was eager to explore it all.

...

As I gazed intently, I lost track of time, but eventually, my eyes met a couple. They were the same pair who were performing the "wrestling exercises" a while ago. I observed that the woman had put on weight at an astonishing rate. However, I couldn't help but notice a faint silvery thread that was connected to her belly. Intrigued, I peered closer and discovered that she was... -pregnant? The faint silver thread was most likely the fetus growing inside her. This revelation gave me a sense of excitement as I wondered what new developments this would bring to their lives.

As I stood before the seemingly endless array of silver threads, my mind raced with wonder. Each strand represented the fate of a single individual, a remarkable and awe-inspiring concept. "Strings of fate..." I found myself muttering under my breath as if the phrase itself could somehow unlock the secrets of the universe.

My eyes scanned the miniature world below, taking in every detail. I soon found myself drawn to a small city nestled amidst the rolling hills. Its winding alleys and shadowy corners seemed to beckon me, daring me to explore the mysteries that lay hidden within.

Without hesitation, I focused my attention on the city, allowing my mind to penetrate its walls and delve into its secrets. With each passing moment, my fascination grew stronger, and I found myself lost in the intricate web of fate that lay before me.

After a long and tiring search, I finally laid my eyes on what I had been seeking.

In a dimly lit alley, I spotted two figures. As I watched closely, I realized that one man was wearing a lavish robe that seemed to be made of the finest silk. The fabric shimmered in the faint light, giving it an opulent look. His hand held a magnificent staff that was taller than him. The staff was intricately carved and seemed to glow with its own light. However, my attention was drawn to the fact that the staff was stained with crimson liquid, still dripping, which gave it an ominous aura. While another man lay quietly in front of him, his face obscured in the shadows as he lay in a pool of his own blood, unmoving...

I stared at the unmoving man with pity and sighed.

My attention was drawn back to the man who was dressed in lavish clothing that spoke of his wealth and status. I could tell that he was a mage, based on the intricate symbols embroidered on his robes. I was curious about him, so I focused my attention on his 'thread of fate'. Using my six limbs, I directed the thread to come closer to me so that I could see it better.

As if on instinct, I gazed at the thread intently. I suddenly saw a vision of what had transpired a few moments ago. I could see the man walking through the bustling market, stopping to examine various goods. I could see the expressions on the faces of the merchants as they interacted with him. It was as if I was there, witnessing the events firsthand.

But the most intriguing part was yet to come. As I continued to focus on the man's 'thread of fate', I began to see more than just his recent past. I could see who he was, is, and ever will be. I saw his life's journey unfold before my eyes, with all its twists and turns. It was a fascinating sight, sadly..., he was no "good man"... he wore the facade of a kind and noble mage, traveling to various cities and villages to spread knowledge and help the less fortunate..., but under this masked facade lay a sinister man... in truth, he despised these "people", he thought them nothing more but mere peasants... -rats, that were meant to be squished, stepped on, and killed... and that's exactly what he did a few moments ago...

I didn't know what came over me. I was filled with an overwhelming sense of power and control. With determination in my heart, I grabbed his 'thread of fate' with five of my limbs, holding it firmly as my sixth limb hovered menacingly over the thread. The sharp ends of my limbs felt almost dangerous, but I had everything under control. With a steady and booming voice, it echoed as I spoke, making my intentions clear. "I have seen enough... Others may have not witnessed your atrocious deeds..., but I have... And so, I bring upon you... {Judgement}..."

Then...

*Snip!~*

I cut his thread...
