I hummed into the night, a sweet and soothing melody echoing into the deep darkness of the night sky...

Time passed by rather quickly...

I lay in my nest comfortably. My nest, now covered in a thick blanket of threads, It was fine & smooth, it was cool to the touch like silk, while soft and bouncy like a ball of cotton.

It had been a year already since I first created my eggs... I took my time in fulfilling my end of the deal to Veldanava; mostly because, one! I don't really want such an important thing like foundation of an ecosystem yada- yada- to be half-assed, lest it give me problems in the future; and Two! I didn't feel like laying millions of eggs to create every type of insect imaginable...

"Soo~ like the smart gal that I am! I made only four eggs, each one unique and built to help fulfil my end of the "deal"; {Eusocial Insects} !" I said to no one in particular as my voice resounded in my nest, talking to myself like a lunatic...

"Anyways~ they are otherwise also known as colony making Queens! Mainly, Bees, Ants, Wasps, and Termites~ since I thought they could do the work for me in being the prime building blocks to start off the cycle of life and all those shenanigans of being decomposers and pollinators stuff~" I said confidently, pushing a way the thought that this may or may not be borderline child slavery in the making...

I stared into the ceiling as I rubbed my ever growing belly...

My abdomen was heavy and swollen, it had started to become rather inconvenient moving around.

'It had already been a full year...' I muttered as I gave my swollen abdomen massages to soothe the slight ache...

I had intentionally created them to gestate for a relatively long time. I poured {Magicules} to the four eggs inside my abdomen continuously, making sure that they do not come out as fragile existences... Even going as far as -resorting to {Naming}...

It wasn't anything special, but bearing them, as well as naming has left me in a weakened state, as they took up almost half of my magicule reserves... I think this was particularly normal for {Monsters}; the mother is almost always left weakened if not dead after bearing her offspring...

Out of nowhere the slight ache I was trying to massage off intensified...

I smiled mischievously as I patted my large belly...

"It's time..."

I lay comfortably, positioning myself into a "U" shape, so that anything that came out would be taken by me and set aside for safe keeping... 

I felt nervous and scared, but also excited! It wasn't everyday someone gets to experience laying a brood of insect young...

'Ah- I wonder what they would think of me, would they look cute...? ... I myself is still in my larval stage... -wait is this like teenage pregnancy...' My face darkened at the thought. It was the effect of my Unique Skill 『Oviparous』 I could make young even if I was still in my larval form... now I'm curious, what if a guy had this unique skill, would he still be able to lay eggs?

... -Wait a minute... am I even a girl in this life? 

I never really thought of that... 

'Hmm... I don't feel like I have the audacity that men do... ' I pushed those thoughts aside, believing in the power of manifestation that I am indeed not a male~

How troublesome... I must protect my image... To be exact, I'm already 70 years old now, granted, I mostly slept through it during my naming ceremony, but I'm still old and "wise" I demand respect! I can even be considered as a co-worker of Veldanava...

Suddenly, I felt contractions in my abdomen. It wasn't painful, it was only a slight ache that amounted to barely anything, really... I just kinda like complaining...

My abdomen beat like a heart, it created a rippling effect as it contracted, intensifying...

'Ah... its poking out...' I thought as I observed every process of laying an egg...

To spare you the details, it came out of a hole I never knew I had...

Staring at it the whole time, the egg dropped a few inches from the air as it landed on the ground. 

I sighed a breath of relief. "Good thing I covered the entire nest in soft-silken threads... I don't know exactly how tough these eggs are, but I'm certainly not gonna take my chances and let it break from dropping a few inches from the air..." I mumbled.

I took the egg into my arms, it was the size of a large watermelon...

"Oh damn!~ you're looking extra thicc, no wonder my abdomen was bulging so big with only four of you in there..." I said teasingly as I set it aside... waiting for the others...

Not even an hour later, in front of me laid four big elongated beauties of an egg, all about the size of a large watermelon...

The laying process wasn't as messy as I thought it would be, the eggs came out "moist" but not exactly slimy so there was no mess whatsoever... Looking at the eggs now I can already see faint silhouettes; grubs...

I tapped on the egg as it made clinking sounds, it was hollow, and the grubs took up the majority of the space inside the egg as they lay on the bottom, their eggs standing upright.

This is one of the features I added when I first made them. This is also a reason why I waited so long just to lay them...

'They have developed fairly well~' I thought as I hovered over the eggs using the sharp ends of my hooked limbs.

Then, like an exacto-knife, I sliced off the top-most part of the egg, creating a small opening...

I readied myself as I put my mouth near the opening of one of the eggs..., and then -I puked...

I also puked on the other eggs, filling them each to the brim...

I stepped back after that tiring, "situation"...

I could feel myself weaken even more after doing "that"...

I called out my status panel as I observed my status...

It was strange being in this state, I felt empty and dry. Such is a sacrifice I was willing to make for my part of the deal, I still have thousands of years to go before Rimuru even reincarnates anyway, might as well enjoy the ride and make sure I don't die~

I simply grazed over my two {New} extra skills, one I got for sleeping for extended periods of time, and the other for being in a continuously weakened state throughout my gestation period.

After my short outburst, I continued to identify and analyze the information I got.

Hmm... this is like the improved version of even Rimuru's potion..., sadly, I don't think it can compare much in terms if sanitation, given how I have to regurgitate it like bees...

...scratch that, I don't think I have a honey stomach like bees, and it literally said salivary glands... So basically it's my spit... I don't really know if it became better or worse that its spit instead of puke, but who knows...
