Tensura: Reborn as a Daemon.

Reborn as a Daemon without any knowledge of the future or the world, completely clueless other than the fact that he must be alert at all times at this red dyed realm, to survive. That time I got reincarnated as a slime is by no means my property and this is only fanfiction. The cover is also not mine, if the artist wants me to take it down, please contact me.

Destruction.

Time passed.

Almost a hundred years passed, and I'm too strong to gain anything significant from the small fries of the underworld. I had a significant amount of battles and experience, especially in sword and hand-to-hand combat. My magic has also improved with some new additions, like the death magic: Death Scythe and some more death magics in my arsenal.

"Should I challenge one of the primordials?" I pondered with a smile as I thought about what would happen to me, most likely becoming a subordinate after one of them kills me. We daemons can be reborn after a few years if we die, though we come back as the subordinate of the being who killed us.

'Nope, I don't want to be one of their subordinates,' I'm a colorless daemon. Somehow, I don't really know any colorless daemon aside from me.

Clenching and unclenching my fist, I looked at myself, sensing the energy which was incomparable to when I was born. I was at the pinnacle of a greater daemon, just waiting to become an arch daemon when I started my rampage, killing most of the lesser daemons and greater daemons alike. Now I'm probably at the pinnacle of Arch daemons.

Though a good thing I didn't kill anyone who was directly associated with 'them,' as they would probably take it as some kind of disrespect and would actively look for me.

'Heh,' on another note, my unique skill served me greatly since I've become a daemon. The skill can make my body as strong and hard as diamond while giving me the leftover energies of any beings I killed, and since I had many fodders to kill.

Walking through the small mansion I created using magic—and my imagination of course—something caught my attention as I felt a small energy circle coming alive in my way.

'Summoning? Might as well try.' It's not like I can't just destroy the summoner if it's for some boring reason anyway, so with that thought, I stepped on the summoning circle.

—3rd POV—

An eerie silence, thick atmosphere that could cause people to choke and gag, the aura exuded by the daemon was too much for the summoner to bear. Kneeling on one knee with a hand on his chest, he slowly patted himself and evened out his breathing.

"On what grounds did you, a mere human, think you could summon me?" The daemon's voice sent a chill down his spine; it was cold and without emotions.

"I-I'm sorry, but please hear me out." The man said with difficulty, and the aura slowly died out. The daemon waited for him to talk as he gestured for him to speak.

"I have amassed a huge number of humans for your physical body. That's the payment for summoning you. You can more than easily stay in the world for more than a month. All I ask of you is that you please destroy the Kingdom of Firewood!" During the explanation, his face went through a number of emotions and expressions, and by the end of it, he was shouting.

"Hmm." The daemon seemed to think, and anxiety rose in the summoner's heart. He was quick to open his mouth and offer some more, "You can take all the souls of the people as payment as well!" His voice, in desperation, suggested something outrageous by human standards.

"Heh," the daemon had a wide smirk on his face as he looked at him directly in the eye. "Very well, now give me my payment and I'll do the work for you. I don't care whatever reason you're doing this, but I must get my payment upfront." The daemon's glare intensified, and the summoner nodded frantically before standing up and walking towards a warehouse behind him. The daemon followed along.

Inside the warehouse, humans huddled up against each other. The daemon counted a hundred of them, with chains on their hands and feet, actively keeping them weaker, as there were some strong ones there.

'Hmm, a good payment for the deal. I only gain more from this. I can create a physical body with this many humans for now. After I destroy the kingdom, I'll at least have 500,000 souls along with their bodies. Heh, I'll become as strong as 'him' after this.' The smirk on his face scared all of the humans there, including the summoner.

"Very well, I accept your terms." The daemon raised his palm, and the humans suddenly slumped without making a sound as they died peacefully. This was his magic, Death Scythe, in action.

"With this, our contract is complete. Now where is this kingdom you want gone?" he asked with a pleased smile, clenching and unclenching his fists, looking satisfied with his new body, his grey hair gleaming in the sun.

"Yes! Yes!" The summoner exclaimed and took out a map of the world, spread it out on the table, and pointed out the kingdom he wanted gone, looking at the map with hatred. "This, this is the kingdom! I want it wiped off the map!" he shouted with rage, a few spittle flying from his mouth.

'Quite amusing. Huhuhu. Humans and their arrogance,' he thought to himself. 'Who does he think he is? Summoning an arch daemon and ordering it around. Heh. I'll make him forever remember the terror of daemons,' the daemon thought pettily.

"Well, let's go," the daemon said to his employer with a smile, which seemed to spook the human.

"Huh? Why do I have to come?" he asked in confusion as he looked at the chilly smile the daemon gave him.

"For confirmation, of course. You need to see me destroying the nation, right?" The question got immediate nods, the human frantically agreeing with the daemon.

"I- I want to see, I want to see." Looking at the human's gleeful and malicious eyes, the daemon smirked a little, an idea popping up in his mind.

—Later—

The border was covered by a big fence with border patrol and other personnel guarding it. Looking down from the air while holding the man who summoned him, the daemon asked, "This seems to be a good place to spectate, right?" He then flew a little lower, leaving the human there with his magic securing him in place.

The human was scared shirtless and flailed around before noticing he was not falling and was stuck in the sky. He looked at the back of the daemon, who raised his hand above his head and concentrated his magic.

Wind started blowing around the daemon, and thick black magicules began to swirl around his hand, signifying the use of dark magic, the magic of death as they called it. Forbidden by the numerous nations of the human world.

He pointed the concentrated magic in the direction of the kingdom and called out, "Death Ray." For a second, it was normal without any sound or reaction before a concentrated beam of reddish-black ray razed the kingdom to the ground. It sent a chill down the summoner's spine as he looked at the horrific scenery below him.

The ground boiled and became reddish in color, flames began rising as the forest caught on fire, and smoke followed after. All that the eye could see was turned into hell; miles upon miles, the entire kingdom was turned into a wasteland.

'I-I brought a m-monster into this world.' Realization hit him as he felt water run down his legs, looking at the daemon's back, terrified of the consequences of his actions.

'Heh, I harvested at least two million souls. Now I wonder if I can just use the energy in the souls to evolve? But I don't feel any different than usual. Is it because I don't have a name?' he thought with a grim look as he observed the wasteland his magic had created. The European-like structures of the kingdom were melting down to nothing more than ashes.

'Hmm, it seems I have to use it,' he thought before turning around and locking his eyes with the foolish human who summoned him.

"You, what is your name?" the daemon asked the human, who was perplexed before he calmed himself and answered the daemon.

"A-axel. It's Axel," he said with false calm.

"Ah, a good name indeed. My name is Lucifer, by the way." The now named Axel's face contorted in fear, mortified that he summoned a named daemon, and his body started shaking.

"You—you're a named? An arch daemon?" he muttered as his eyes rolled back into his head, and he passed out.

Lucifer smirked. 'Heh, this is going to be fun.'
