His name is Shiro, an ordinary senior high school student who died after being stabbed by a thief, after his death however he met a god or so he called it, but instead of a majestic being the god mentioned is more like a computer following a designated program.
The being is nothing but a mass of pure spherical gold ball of energy that talks and responds like a computer.
He was given a single wish and Shiro wished to be reincarnated in Tensura as Dino.
He could have wished to be Rimuru but the said god despite being nothing more than a program entity warned him that the timeline he'll be sent in is completely random and wouldn't always follow the same setting he knew off so to be on the safe side Shiro picked Dino.
He doesn't have the confidence to go and picked Rimuru Tempest.
Moreover, he doesn't really plan to follow the same route.
Shiro wants to live his life to the fullest without the need to worry about many things.
Nevertheless, choosing Dino wasn't random either because Dino is one of the most powerful low-key characters in the series and one with the highest potential if it wasn't for his slothful behavior.
Moreover, Dino has Ultimate Skill: Astarte: Lord Of Heaven which allows him to evolve skills to a direction he desired and freely evolved Unique Skills into Ultimate Skills so long he has sufficient energy.
It wasn't mentioned but Astarte: Lord Of Heaven also allowed him to copy any skills and techniques of others without the need to analyze or see the skill in action.
These two effects of the ultimate skill are beyond broken in a world where power is everything.
Not to say, as one of the seven primordial angels created by Veldenava himself, Dino inherently possessed the instinct skill [Administrative Authority] which is basically Law Domination, allowing him great control over the laws of the world from either a magical or scientific perspective.
It also grants him great resistance against ultimate powers making Dino for Shiro to be the best pick.

He couldn't help but question after sensing that his newfound soul seemed to have lost something significant.
Due to him becoming a whole new entity altogether, the name engraved in his soul had been lost, ending in him becoming nameless.
The energy from the lost name was separated from his soul and is free for use.
Taking advantage of this he named himself "Shiro."
Not due to sentiment or something along those lines.
His reason for choosing his former name was simple.
Because it was convenient.
Naming himself didn't produce any drastic change in him except for his rise in magicules count.

He hadn't expected to be sent a thousand years before cannon story starts and at the very moment when Dino evolved into a true demon lord.
In the memories he had acquired Shiro learned that Dino went on a rampage after the death of Star King Veldanava completely annihilating the kingdom that was used as a proxy, and its neighboring nations plunging the entire continent into ruins.
Even Guy Crimson and Ramiris who would usually step in to stop such indiscriminate mass slaughter and destruction did not step in knowing full well what Dino was feeling.
Without wasting any more time Shiro went into action.
He couldn't waste this rare opportunity.
Shiro raising his hands like metal attracted to magnet all the souls of the people that was killed by Dino was drawn to him creating a magnificent sight of a young androgynous man surrounded by colorful orbs, only if no one knew these are souls hundreds of millions of people killed by his own hands.
Leaving the sentiment aside Shiro placed all the souls in his personal sub dimension inside him to be analyzed and converted into usable energy to increase his magicules count.
His ultimate skill only has one drawback and that it costs a lot of magicules in every use.
So to overcome this drawback Shiro needs to increase his EP count.
Utilizing both [Dream] and [Administrative Authority] Shiro was able to convert the energy contained within the souls and transform them into usable energy.
It might sound simple, but the method is extremely complicated and taxing.
Separating the ego from the soul to allow the dead to be reincarnated wasn't much of a problem but converting pure soul energy into safe consumable energy is different.
His first few tries to a thousand souls ended up in a failure.
It was later in the 10 thousand count that Shiro was able to achieve what he wanted and repeat the same process.
And his was doing this despite being in a sleepy state brought by the sprouting of his two demon lord seeds.
Yes, Shiro has two demon lord seeds.
He didn't know if it was fate that sent him to the same exact time that Dino was on a rampage, but his emergence brought an irregularity similar to Chloe and Hinata but unlike them who we're separated Shiro became one with Dino and the same goes for the demon lord seed that he acquired after his arrival and Dino's.
As for the required 10,000 souls, necessary EP count and unique skills needed to evolve into a true demon lord Shiro had fulfilled all of those requirements.
Leaving one last step behind holding him back before evolving into a True Demon Lord, Shiro used his Ultimate Skill: Astarte: Lord Of Heaven to fused Sloth and Dream thereafter evolving them into a whole new Ultimate Skill while at the same time receiving gift the the Harvest Festival.
