Birth of the future general

Arriving at the chief's house, my mother and the chief rushed into the labor room to see the chief's wife screaming in pain while the other people scramble about trying to get ready. Looking at the scene, mother immediately gave a few orders to prepare cloths and other stuff while the chief went forward to comfort his wife. Feeling a bit out of place, I decided to leave the room and find the village elder, and a few other friends of the chief. Spreading my magic sense, I immediately ran towards where I sensed 'Hakurou'. Considering that my control over lightning wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, I decided to just run while boosting myself with lightning since I didn't want to leave trail of destruction everywhere. Arriving where 'Hakurou' was and telling him that the chief's wife was giving birth, we immediately rushed back.

Arriving back, we decided to just wait outside whilst waiting for the baby to be safely delivered. To be honest, even though we knew that everything would be find, considering the fact that my mother was one of the most skilled healing magic users in the village, we were still very worried due to the screams of pain that we were hearing.

Around 3 hours later, the screams were finally over and the cries of a baby could be heard. Immediately after, someone came out but was startled to see so many people outside though she quickly calmed herself. She allowed only 2 people to go in and so me and 'Hakurou' went in. The chief holding a woman gently whilst the woman was holding a small child lovingly was the sight that greeted us when we went inside. Feeling our presence, she looked up and was pleasantly surprised to see us.

"Ara, elder-san, little cutie, why are you here?" "Well, me and my mother were with the chief when we heard that you were giving birth." Her eyes suddenly widened and she looked around to see mother at the side doing..... something??

"Huh? Since when were you here..." she said. To which my mother replied "When you were just about to start giving birth. "

"Huhhh, I never realized."-the chief's wife

" Well you were busy giving birth after all."-mother

"I see, but thank you for being here though"-the chief's wife

"Don't worry about it..."said mother who then proceed to talk with aunt while ignoring everyone else.( I'm just going to call the chief's wife aunt in the story until she gets her name, also the chief will be uncle, considering that I'm getting tired saying chief in my mind constantly )

After about 3 minutes of being ignored, aunt finally remembered everyone else who just seemed to be standing there awkwardly. "Ara, I'm sorry about that , anyways, what about you elder, why are you here?" Looking at her, I could only shake my head at her airhead-ness while 'Hakuro' told her that I called him. Suddenly, the cries of a baby resurfaced as aunty proceed to gently caress the baby in her arms.

'So that's the future [ Samurai General ] in the future, 'Benimaru'... Hearing the baby's cry, my mother then proceeded to shove everyone out giving some privacy for the family.

-- 3 years later --

It's been 3 years since then and I'm now 5 years old while looking like a 10 years old. Monster ageing just don't make sense. I'm currently sitting by the river with a young 3 years old 'Benimaru' and a 2 years old 'Shion' playing next to me.

After aunt gave birth to 'Benimaru', everyone decided to have a celebration to congratulate uncle. Which then turned into a huge party where everyone drank and drank and drank. 3 days after that, the hunting party came back with huge game and we partied again. Afterwards it was back to normal life, except that now I visit aunt way more often than I used to. I also played with 'Benimaru' a lot. After a little while, a few others were born including 'Shion', 'Souei' and 'Shuna'. Meaning that the village was having a mini baby boom. It took a while but things finally started to settle down. With the increase in number of kids, I somehow one way or another became the caretaker of them. Don't ask me how.....

Anyways, enough about the situation of the village. In terms of strength increase, while my power didn't increase much, my control over lightning and swordsmanship increased by a huge margin. Now I'm able to perfectly transform any part or even my whole body into lightning, allowing me to move at the speed of lightning. And I also trained my mind to be able to follow along my speed, which led to my acquisition of the "thought acceleration" skill. I can even combine my lightning with my swordsmanship, making my attacks and slashes extremely fast. Not only that, I've also learned to control my aura which was enhance by the skill "Ogre's Ambition". Allowing me to coat my aura onto my body for punches and kicks or even my blade, meaning that I can actually kill spiritual lifeforms with physical attacks, which widens my arsenal by a lot.

An interesting thing that happened though is that when I made a visit to 'Kurobe's workshop for my blades repairs, I happened to catch him testing out some runes. As it was never shown in the novel, I felt really curious about the runes and ended up directly asking 'Kurobe' about it. He said that a long time ago, when the Otherworlder came to our village and taught us about his world ( Aka the Japanese, hence why they used katanas and wore samurai armors ), he also left a few books on different sorts of magic such as flame magic, healing magic, blacksmithing methods and even books on runes. Though the runes weren't so popular considering how hard it was to even learn. But somehow this made me even more curious and thus I decided to learn more about runes, and I found out how runes work. Runes work by engraving with magicules words or phrases that leads to a certain reaction on any surface, such as the floor, table, tools, armor and even weapons. For example, if you engrave a word like "hardening x10" on a blade, when you run magicules through it, the blade would harden itself by 10 times. But if you only put "hardening" on it, the blade would continuously absorb magicules to harden itself until the steel can't take it and eventually crack then break. Thus leading to runes being extremely complicated and difficult to use for anything other than basic stuff. However, this doesn't mean that runes were useless, since with it, if you know how, you could even affect the world and the laws of the world. So everything considered, I decided to slowly increase my mastery in runesmith, while training my other powers and body.

I also spent more time with my family and I even accompanied my father on a hunt. I learned many things that trip such as how to fight specific monsters and their weakness. I also learned about different beasts and their territories, and even came across a small goblin village, which we just decided to ignore. Overall it was an extremely beneficial trip.

And that basically sums up the past 3 years, where I spent time with family, with friends and training myself. Which leads up to this moment where I'm thinking of my next coarse of action. Considering the fact that 'Benimaru' is 3 years old, and if we assume the attack happened when he was 18, then it means that I have 15 more years until then. Everything in mind, I decided that it was time to pay a certain dragon a visit, and hopefully finally get a name.

Heyy, have another chap =)
