7 Shizue Izawa

Once they reached the village, Rimuru and Lucifer toured them around the village once they were done, they showed them to the mini cafeteria.

Which was in a tent that was recently created because the old sheds are getting replaced with new buildings.

The tents will be temporary shelters until the new buildings are finished.

Inside the tent they were in, there were a couple of picnic tables that they created.

All four adventures were seated around one of the picnic tables, eating a meal while conversing with each other.

"Nice to meet you! My name is Rimuru the slime, slurp! And this is Lucifer the Cat!" Rimuru flamboyantly greeted them, he wanted to show they were friendly, so he chose some friendly quotes from his old world.

Lucifer just stared at Rimuru weirdly because of how dumb he just sounded, Rimuru noticed his gaze and just chose to ignore it, sweat could be seen on his slime forehead.

"WAIT, YOU'RE A CATTT?!?!" All four adventures exclaimed at the same time, even the quiet Shizue couldn't help but be surprised.

"Is it so hard to believe?" Lucifer questioned dumbfoundedly.

"I mean it's just that you look 100% human and have no monster features ." Eren reasoned.

Lucifer just transformed into his cat form, in order to prove his point and looked at the four smugly.

But contrary to his expectations, they found him cute and Eren tried to snuggle up with him.

"Aww, your so cute."

Eren tried to lunge at him in order to pet his fur but Lucifer already noticed her intentions and immediately dodged.

Eren face-planted into the ground and Lucifer just walked away smugly.

"You thought it was."

Lucifer chuckled and walked over next to Rimuru, who seemed to be lost in thought.

Eren reluctantly backed off for now and went back to the picnic table in order to finish her meal.

Earlier, Rimuru noticed Shizue chuckling at his greeting and also realized that the way she was sitting was the same way Japanese people normally sit.

'Is she from the same world as us too?' Rimuru questioned in his mind but told himself he would ask her later when she was alone.

"So, how come you guys were out this far in the forest?" Rimuru questioned, trying to go to more important topics.

The group then explained how their guild sent them out here to investigate the disappearance of Veldora the Storm Dragon and how they were caught off guard by the abundance of monsters and were saved by them.

'I should tell Lucifer about Veldora later.'

Rimuru didn't wanna keep any secrets from Lucifer, since they were in this together as fellow reincarnators.

"Alright, we'll let you guys finish your meals now."

Rimuru, and Lucifer still in his cat form left the tent in order to let the group of adventures finish their meal.

They then walked to a hill that could oversee the village and also had a great view of the horizon.

"We never talked about our old lives, maybe we should share some stories?" Lucifer questioned.

"Sure and I have something else to tell you after that." Rimuru agreed.

A few hours had passed of them laughing at funny stories of each other.

"Dude that's how you died!? That's way worse than the way I died!"

Rimuru exclaimed, Lucifer just explained how he died by getting launched off a building, and how his backup parachute jammed. Rimuru couldn't help but be shocked, he thought the way he died was tragic but look at this guy.

"But what are you doing with a parachute if you were in a building?" Rimuru raised his non-existent eyebrow up questioningly.

Lucifer just shrugged and didn't answer.

"I feel like we have gotten way closer after this conversation, also thanks for letting me get all that stuff off my slime chest." Rimuru said jokingly.

"Of course, isn't that what friends are for." Lucifer responded.

"But I have something to tell you, you remember how they were talking about Veldora the Storm Dragon?" Rimuru seemed to have turned a little serious.

"Yeah."

Rimuru then went on to explain how he met Veldora in the cave and how he was the one who gave his name to him. He also explained that he ate Veldora and was currently trying to figure out a way to break the Imprisonment spell in order to free him which would take a couple of months.

The whole entire time Lucifer didn't even show a hint of surprise on his face, just calmly listening to what Rimuru was saying.

"How come you don't seem surprised at all!? I get that you are a nonchalant person, but now it's like you can't get surprised by anything." Rimuru exclaimed.

"Who knows." Lucifer stated mysteriously.

Rimuru was about to yell at him again but someone interjected before he had a chance to.

"Uhm excuse me."

Shizue seemed to have wanted to have a talk with them and also looked troubled about something.

"Shizue what's up?" Rimuru and Lucifer weren't surprised since they already sensed her before she got close.

Shizue slowly took off her mask and seemed to have wanted to ask them something.

"Just spit it out already." Lucifer chuckled at his wording.

"Well, are you guys otherworlders? I noticed Mr.Rimuru's quote that came from a video game from my old world and I also noticed the way you speak is more western from my old world." Shizue questioned, hoping she was right.

"Well yeah we both are, impressive you noticed that by my manner of speaking." Lucifer confirmed her thoughts.

Rimuru nodded, which looked weird for a slime.

"Do you guys mind if I share my story with you?" Shizue asked.

"Sure!" Rimuru exclaimed.

"Why not." Lucifer also agreed.

Shizue then went on to explain how she was alive in ww2 bombing and how she was summoned to this world as a child, by a demon lord name Leon Cromwell who didn't treat her well.

Rimuru and Lucifer couldn't help but feel pity for her tragic story, but they also respected her for staying strong.

Rimuru even showed her how current Japan looks like and how much it evolved since ww2.

But Shizue staggered for a real quick second.

"Shizue! Are you okay?!"Rimuru worriedly asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." Shizue controlled her footing and put her mask back on.

"Uh Lord Rimuru and Lord Lucifer, we would appreciate it if you guys could give us your advice on the house we're building." Kaijn came up from behind them and stated.

"Uh yeah sure. I'll see you later Shizue." Rimuru got out of his stupor and started hopping back to the village with Kaijin.

Lucifer was right behind them but he suddenly turned around,

"Remember your not alone."

He left those words with Shizue and followed after Rimuru and Kaijin, still in his cat form.

Shizue just silently nodded at his words.

(The Next Day)

The next day, the adventurers were preparing to leave.

Once they were done preparing, they met up in the middle of the village and were prepared to leave.

"Bye Mr.Rimuru and Mr.Lucifer."

"Thank you for everything!"

"Thanks for the foodd!!"

"Bye Rimuru and Lucifer, thanks for talking with me."

All the adventures were saying goodbye to Rimuru and Lucifer.

"Alright bye guys, visit next time!" Rimuru exclaimed.

"Yeah, see ya guys!" Lucifer who was back in his human form stated while waving them off.

But suddenly Shizue started to scream and hold onto her mask.

"AHHHH!!!"

She suddenly started to glow as if she was about to blow up but as soon as she started to glow up, all everyone heard was a bang.

*BANG!*

Shizue somehow turned into an ice cube and stopped glowing.

Everyone turned in one direction and could see Lucifer holding his silver pistol and aiming at Shizue.

"What's wrong with you!?!" Eren exclaimed.

Rimuru seemed to understand why Lucifer did what he did because his Great Sage explained that shizue was about to explode into a torrent of flames which would have damaged the village.

'Yeah I'm taking no chances, maybe Rimuru in the original didn't care but all the hard work we did for the foundation of our new buildings will not be wasted because we were too slow to react.' Lucifer thought to himself.

As much as Lucifer likes Shizue as a person, sometimes being coldly efficient is the best way to handle things but he won't lie and say he didn't feel uncomfortable at all because he did.

"Relax she is fine, she was about to implode but luckily Lucifer stopped it before she could hurt herself or anyone around. Bring her into the empty shed over there, I'll make sure she is okay. " Rimuru sighed and ordered the surrounding goblins.

"Sorry for doubting your intentions, I just got worried." Eren seemed to have felt bad to have doubted their intentions and apologized for it.

"It's fine, I understand where your coming from."

Lucifer made sure to let her know he didn't mind.

(Few Hours Later)

Rimuru and Lucifer were in the shed where Shizue was in bed asleep and were waiting for her to wake up.

Shizues eyes fluttered open and she looked around wondering where she was, she noticed Lucifer and Rimuru looking at her.

She suddenly remembered what happened.

"I'm so sorry!! I almost hurt your guy's village!"

Shizue tried to get out of bed to apologize more properly but was unable to and fell back down on her bed.

"Woah there, it's alright. No one got hurt and you did nothing wrong." Rimuru tried to calm her down.

Which worked and Shizue slowly started to calm down and looked up at them resolutely.

"Can I tell you guys my full story?" Shizue questioned.

Lucifer and Rimuru just nodded and stayed silent as she talked more about her past because she wanted them to know she lived her life to the fullest.

She talked about Ifrit the spirit that she was forced to contain. She explained that he is the reason she loses control.

She talked about how she met another hero who took her in and took care of her. She traveled with the hero and went on a journey.

She explained that the mask she got was from the hero, and it helped her control Ifrit to an extent.

But one day the Hero randomly left her behind.

Since the hero left her, Shizue decided to get stronger by becoming an adventurer and she become famous because of her battle prowess.

After she went through tons of battles, she retired and became an instructor at a school.

She would teach otherworldler kids and show them their not alone in this world.

Eventually, some of her students surpassed her and she felt like she had nothing to teach them.

She eventually finished explaining.

"Can you eat me Rimuru?" Shizue suddenly asked.

"I feel like I'm at peace. I don't love this world but I can't hate it either. I don't want this world to absorb me, I'd rather it be you." Shizue resolutely stated.

"Okay." Rimuru sighed, sad that he would have to eat her.

"Can you listen to my last wishes?"

"Of course."

"Can you find out if Leon Cromwell acknowledged me as a human girl? Also, my young students who are still in school, maybe you can still help them. Maybe they can go back to their old worlds." Shizue stated, her voice getting weaker by the second.

"Don't worry! I Rimuru Tempest swear that I will get these wishes done for you!" Rimuru exclaimed.

"Thank you." Shizue stated her voice barely a whisper.

Her hair seemed to be turning gray, her heartbeat was getting weaker and weaker by the second.

Rimuru was about to use his skill called predator to eat Shizue but Lucifer stopped him.

"What gives!?"

Rimuru wanted to hurry up and eat her, to give her the peaceful dreams she has been wanting.

"Check with your skill [Great Sage], if you could give her consciousness happy dreams while storing her soul for future purposes." Lucifer stated, being dead serious with Rimuru for the first time.

Rimuru was about to question why but just did as he said, since he rarely sees Lucifer this serious about things.

Rimuru asked [Great Sage] what Lucifer told him, and it responded by saying it was possible and that in the future, she could be resurrected.

Once Rimuru finished hearing [Great Sages] explanation, he understood why Lucifer said that.

"YOU'RE A GENIUS LUCIFER!!" Rimuru exclaimed.

"I know I am." Lucifer smirked.

"Wait a minute, how did you know about my [Great Sage] skill?" Rimuru questioned confusedly because he doesn't remember telling Lucifer.

"We'll talk about it later, just do it first."

Rimuru agreed that the current situation was more important.

He told [Great Sage] to implement it.

"Rimuru, I know your excited but she said herself that she didn't wanna live in this hate-filled world. That's why once you obtain the power to revive her, change the world for the better first, so she can live happily in it." Lucifer stated with a small smile on his face.

"Of course."

Rimuru already understood that as soon as he heard the plan, he planned to change the world first before reviving her.
