1 Chapter 001: The Beginning And The End

Arthur lay on top of the small cement wall, his anger and sadness had already dissipated, all that was left now was a familiar feeling of tiredness, a horrible feeling of helplessness, his chest tightened and burned, as if something was destroying him inside.

A small, comfortable, fragrant breeze passed between him, as if the world was trying to calm him down.

"Spring has come?"

As he said his last words, Arthur slowly rolled onto his side, throwing his body off the roof. The fall, which was supposed to be quick, took longer than expected. Some words were heard during the fall, but Arthur ignored them, thinking it was his mind playing tricks on him.

The impact was strong, his face hit the ground directly, causing blood to be thrown everywhere, for some reason, Arthur didn't die instantly.

"What a pain...please let me die..."

It looked like he was destined to suffer until his last seconds of life. But after a few seconds, the suffering ended. He had died.

The pain was gone, now all he felt was an incredibly comfortable sensation, moving his body was impossible, but that was to be expected, after all he was dead. His vision was dark, but even though he felt no pain and couldn't see, Arthur felt he was in the same position he had been in the last few seconds of his life.

After hearing the last sentence the voice said, Arthur immediately understood what was happening. He opened his eyes, and saw a blue screen with white letters, the words written on the screen were exactly the same as he had heard a few moments ago. Just below, there was a timer, which was at 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

Arthur has read stories of strange systems appearing after the protagonist's death, but he - obviously - never imagined this would happen to him. Apparently his "system" is very similar-in appearance-to the Korean story called "Solo Leveling". However, the way he behaved resembled another system from another story, now Japanese, called Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.

The system quickly healed his fatal wounds and even his eyesight, this means the system is relatively 'powerful'. He also said that I had a bounty stashed in my inventory.
