Light Kiss.

Ji Yanli went to the villa the next morning again and surveyed all the rooms. She chose a random one that was neither small nor large. She changed the whole room into a closet. 

After the shopping centre delivered the things she bought, she gathered the housemaids and told them to place these according to her instructions.

The maids were very excited to see so many luxurious goods and had the chance to touch them. Before they could only admire these from afar. Now they could at least brag to their friends that they had seen and touched real things. 

The maid who was scolded in the past saw the branded things and was very jealous.

Nana thought, 'If these all could be mine one day, that would be best.' 

Nana daydreamed as she chuckled in her mind. She turned her face towards Ji Yanli and changed her facial expression as asked timidly,

"Miss, will you stay here from now on?"

"No. Why say that?" Ji Yanli asked.

"These things...?"

"Oh! These are for the lady."

Ji Yanli answered vaguely but they understood. They didn't need to know again who could be this lady as everyone clearly knew who she was. They hurriedly finished placing all the things on the shelves. 

After finishing everything, Ji Yanli was going to the ground floor. Sheng Ruming was seated at the dining table. It was already time for lunch. When he heard footsteps he looked up and saw her coming down. 

"Finished already?"

"Yes."

"Have breakfast."

"At least you have some conscience." She said with a light smile and sat beside him.

The maids served her breakfast. After that Sheng Ruming signalled them to leave them alone. They began to eat but the silence was very irritating. The atmosphere was also awkward. Ji Yanli decided to say something first. 

"Ruming, aunty called me yesterday night. She said you hadn't picked up her call for three weeks and didn't visit her for nearly two months. She wanted to meet you this week."

"..."

"Also you didn't go to the company for two days now. Will you come tomorrow?"

"Didn't give it a thought." He said while he put down his chopsticks and wiped his mouth with a napkin. He stood up and went upstairs.

Ji Yanli was shocked by his sudden mood swing. She looked at the table. He barely finished his food.

'Did I say something wrong? And what the heck with the "Didn't give it a thought?!" Why am I having a bad premonition?'

she thought while stuffing her mouth with food. 'Hmm, it's delicious.'

Even after three days, Luo Lixi didn't wake up. These days Sheng Ruming didn't go to the company either. All these years, Sheng Ruming never missed a day even if he was sick. His absence now made some people have wild thoughts.

Many works had piled up for him and Wang Haixiao had to cancel many of his meetings. His lips felt sore after apologising so many times a day. 

Ji Yanli was extremely angry after answering many calls. There were many rumours that started to fly in the circle that Sheng Ruming was very ill and thus couldn't come to the office. There was no doubt, their competitors started it. She couldn't even concentrate on her work clearly.

Many media reporters were calling her nonstop. They were bombarding her with many questions. At last she couldn't take it anymore and called him.

"What is it?"

"Come to the company! There are many meetings you have to personally attend. Even if I and Haixiao can take care of other things, we can't negotiate any deals with our positions."

"I'll take care of them." The man said.

"The stock price of our company will start to plummet if you don't come any sooner." Ji Yanli sounded exaggerated.

"I just took a few days off. What's wrong with you all?!" He frowned.

"Cough!" Ji Yanli was embarrassed.

He looked at the woman beside him and reluctantly said, "Okay, I will come to the company tomorrow."

'Ah! Thank God!' She heaved a sigh in relief, "See you tomorrow, boss."

"Hmm." he hung up.

He knew he couldn't trust that old fox, director Xiao. Didn't they say Luo Lixi would wake up soon? What now?! 

'Heh! They should take responsibility for what they have said.' There was a murderous expression on his face. 

Sheng Ruming wanted the person she would see after waking up to be him. But he couldn't remain absent from the company for many days. People would be getting curious if he did that, especially his parents.

He called someone. It was one of the guards he put at the hospital.

"Hello, Boss."

"Xiao Huang, did that doctor of Ailin hospital say anything to you?"

"Yes, CEO. He has some requests. I passed it to miss Yanli."

"Call her and tell her to keep that aside for now. We have many other important things to do."

"Understood" the guard guessed that the old man had done something to piss their CEO off.

He did as he was told to. Ji Yanli had expected Sheng Ruming to do such a thing. 

Even if he looked harmless outside he would hold a grudge if someone did anything to piss him off. She was more than happy to throw that task to the backside of her head. Her hands were full of many other things.

The fourth day, Sheng Ruming woke up early in the morning. He took a shower and got dressed up for the office. Then he went to Luo Lixi's room.

"Lixi, good morning. Today I've got to go to work. I will try my best to come back as soon as possible. Please wait for me, love." he told her and gave her a good morning kiss on her cheek. It had become a habit to do so.

When he went to the first floor, the people were surprised to see him in his business suit. He was looking very handsome in that outfit. Nana was very awestruck by his appearance. She went before him.

"Young master, the breakfast is ready." she said coquettishly. He didn't even bat an eyelid to her and went outside. His bodyguards were waiting for him there. He stepped in the passenger seat and went away.

The surrounding people laughed at her as she was ignored and looked like a clown. It was very obvious what she was trying to do to all of them. She became embarrassed as they were looking at her and went upstairs hurriedly.
