Immortal Slaying Sword

On the stone platform, Qin Mei was still in shock at what had just happened!

Looking down at her clenched fists, she felt the uncontrollable power held within them

She didn't expect that with only a single move, she'd be able to easily overpower a holy son!

To Qin Mei, the title "Holy Son" meant that that her opponent must be extremely important and also strong 

Yet looking at him now, was he not lying severly injured on the ground?

She was just as shocked as everyone around her!

Qin Mei didn't know whether it was because the strength of her physical body, or another factor

Just then, she heard an ever so faniliar sound

[Detected Host has won your first battle!]

[Host has been rewarded with (incomplete) Immortal Slaying Sword]

'Reward? Immortal slaying sword?', Qin Mei was suprised at the return of this parasite if hers

From the time she had arrived in this mortal world to now, she'd came to the understanding that the parasite did not have any ulterior motives towards her

Or atleast, it seemed to have no other purpose than to make her get stronger

As for whether or not she would change the way she addressed it? She didn't feel like it, it was just a good parasite

Throughout the years, she'd constantly attempt to converse with it, yet had always been given the cold shoulder 

Unexpectedly, it had finally came back to tell her that she had been rewarded

It had said she'd received a sword, yet looking everywhere on her, Qin Nei found no weapon in sight

Where could it be?

Moving the matter to the back of her mind, Qin Mei heard the announcer shakingly announce the results of the battle!

"Q-Qin Mei has won! Next off, Lin Xuan against Zhou Chen!"

With that, she was teleported back beside the ninth princess

The audience was still in disbelief at what they had just witnessed!

"You didn't tell me you were so strong!", Qin Daiyu spoke once she had returned

Staring at Qin Mei, she felt a bit amazed, "You've obviously just started your cultivation journey, so how are you this strong?"

Logically speaking, it was impossible fkr someone just starting their cultivation journey to be so strong, and so she'd never expected it

To her disappointment however, Qin Mei only flashed her a smile that implied she didn't know

Seeing her actions, Qin Daiyu thought that he just didn't want to tell her, but she didn't take it to heart

She couldn't exactly reveal her secrets as to why she was so strong, right?

QIin Daiyu didn't know hkwever, that the reason Qin Mei wouldn't reveal to her how was because cause she didn't know herself!

Even then, if she knew, she still wouldn't tell her

Ignoring the countless gazes on her from her recent victory, Qin Mei now closed her eyes

"So where is the sword I received?", She asked inwardly, as she now had the time to search for it

She was curious as to how it looked, "My soul? How do I get to it?"

[Do it as one would enter their dantian, except the soul is located between your brows!]

Using this hint as a basis, Qin Mei soon found herself within a black abyss!

Within her vision, an incomparably bright light shone from what looked liked to be the center of her soul

Traveling forward, she'd finally arrived at the center, only to see a black scabbard tinged with golden flowers floating in the air!

"It certainly looks beautiful..'', Qin Mei thought aloud, before reaching out to touch it's hilt

As she held it, she was shocked as her mind shifted and many images were flashed

She saw countless ancient great figures, Qin Mei didn't know how strong they were, but their aura alone dismissed any thoughts of resistance!

What shocked her even more however, was that they were all being slain, by the very same sword she was grasping!

it was the same person carrying the sword in all of the images she could see, yet when she tried to observe the figure, she once again found herself within her soul!

Even so, the countless scenes were still vivid within her mind

"Wow!", after experiencing all of this, Qin Mei would be an ideat to not understand that this sword was definitely a great treasure

She became more interested in wanting to see what the sword looked like underneath it's scabbered, but stopped in her actions when she received a warning 

[Host is advised not to unsheathe the sword!]

Qin Mei wondered why it had warned her not to do so, "And why's that?"

[The aura of the sword would instantly spread and alarm people even under the cover of your soul]

Hearing that, her interest died down quickly

Even though Qin Mei knew she was pretty strong, she wasn't blind to the fact that there were definitely people far stronger than her close by

Perhaps even currently watching her!

The experts of the various sects wouldn't sit idly, and would would certainly jump out to grab a treasure!

Qin Mei didn't think that her title as the 8th princess would keep her safe

She wasn't sure however, if the Emperor would also do the same, as there hadn't been much interaction between her and him

Thinking back, when Qin Mei had won her and had casted a quick glance toward the Emperor, she couldn't see the slightest trace of suprise on his face!

She speculated whether or not he had known of her strength since the moment they had first met

"Anyways, will I always get a reward everytime I experience a battle?", Qin Mei asked the system

"Alright then, will I always get rewards of the same level of the Immortal Slaying Sword?"

How good would that be if it were true..

[Host only received sich a treasured sword due as a first victory reward, the level is dependent on the difficulty of the battle face!]

If it were as she'd wanted, Qin Mei assumed that she'd be invincible in this world in no time

Unfortunately, her wishes were but a mere fantasy..
