Evading Pete Hudson wasn't as easy as evading the awkwardness that came with being kissed by him.

Despite her furtive attempt to put some space between them, or rather between her thumping heart and his annoyingly charming face, there he was, trailing after her with every step she took.

She cast a furtive glance past her shoulder and instantly snapped her head away when she saw his eyes waiting on her.

 

A silky chuckle echoed behind her, and she knew he was laughing at her. She amused him, and he irritated her. But yet, there she was.

 

She looked through the glass window panels to the road below, bustling with cars and pedestrians. They all looked small and almost insignificant in the midst of all the high-rise superstructures surrounding them, and she wished she could view her problems as such—small and insignificant.

 

"The view is amazing." She said, glancing at Pete.
