71 Listening

Pulling out from her driveway, Pete started for Serena's school — Great Oaks Elementary.

The school was barely far from where they lived with an estimated drive of twenty minutes. He looked at the time and he was convinced they'd make it in time.

Turning his face, he glanced at Lina. His lips curled up when he saw her pressing against the door, her gaze fixed outside the window in her usual uncomfortable manner when she was riding with him.

It was amusing to watch, and she was just beautiful to look at.

Not wanting to push her further on that uncomfortable edge, he glanced at the cute little angel sitting at the back through the rear view mirror. Her big round eyes were glued to the gift bag with muffins Rosie had earlier given him. Her fingers slowly tracing the pink heart shapes that patterned the bag in their different shades.

Like the majority of her gender, regardless of age, she was attracted to the color and its beautiful shades.
