92 The confession

As Silas waited at the reception, his anticipation reached a fever pitch. Thoughts raced through his mind, each one vying for his attention as he anxiously awaited Esme's arrival. Despite his excitement, a nagging sense of apprehension lingered in the back of his mind, threatening to dampen his spirits.

What if Esme rejected him?

As the minutes ticked by, Silas's impatience grew, his nerves jangling with anticipation. He couldn't shake the fear of rejection that gnawed at him.

'Think positive,' he reminded himself. 

With a determined resolve, he pushed aside his doubts and focused on his plan to confess his feelings to Esme.

Silas believed she also had feelings for him. It was just that she was not expressing it for some reason. Maybe she didn't trust him fully. Maybe she was too wary to start a relationship. Whatever the reason was, Silas was determined to erase all her doubts and tell her that he was serious about her.
