"Esme, stop this," Silas's voice was stern, his eyes flashing with a mix of irritation and desire. "I mean it, I'll be there before you know it and punish you."

"Can't wait," she teased with a smirk. "Hurry up, or I might not be able to control myself." With that daring remark, she abruptly ended the call, leaving Silas staring at the blank screen in disbelief.

"This woman knows how to push my buttons," he muttered, clenching his fists. "Esme Shaw, you're playing with fire. Just wait and see how I'll punish you."

After ending the call, Esme came to the living area, a mischievous grin plastered on her face. Imagining Silas's frustration and anticipation of his next move brought a playful sparkle to her eyes. She was certain he'd be pacing or finding a way to distract himself – perhaps with a cold shower.

"You look pleased with yourself," Adelynn observed with curiosity as she walked over, giving Esme a playful nudge. "What's the secret? Silas?"
