1 Chapter One

"We are in a world with four creatures. That is, the humans, the vampires, the werewolves and the witches. They all lived in peace with the vampires shut on the other side of the world. Humans, vampires and witches lived together in peace, but the day came that the humans started abducting werewolves and killing them, asking for war. Then the witches hid their world from humans because of their horrible doings to werewolves..."

"Tell me more mother."

"Go to bed Alora. There's a lot of things to do tomorrow. Remember you would be seeing First Lady in the palace tomorrow." A middle aged woman tucked a eight years old girl in bed and the girl pouted.

"But mother…. Tell me what happened next. Is that why werewolves hate us?" The little girl asked her mother curiously.

"I told you to go to bed already young woman. Candles are out." The woman blew out the candles and kissed her daughter's cheeks. "Goodnight sweetheart."

The little girl pretended to close her eyes and sleep till her mother walked down from her loft. When the girl saw her mother close the door of her room, she stood up and rushed to the window looking up at the full moon.

"Werewolves would be out tonight." She looked at the forest which was far away but with her enhanced vision, she could see things outside the forest clearly.

"Alroa go to bed."

"Yes mother." She whispered before falling back to her bed, cuddling with her woolen blankets.

8 years later....

"Alora, it's time to take the yams to the palace." Alora's mother called from the barn that was filled with other workers.

Alora rushed to the barn and giggled as she showed her mother the dress she was wearing. "Don't I look great mother?"

"You look beautiful sweetheart. Now take the yams and get going. I'm sure the kitchen would need them for tonight's dinner." Her mother, Arielle smiled looking at her sweet daughter who had grown so much from back then.

Alora squatted and lifted the basket of yams before walking out of the barn. She looked up at the palace which was located just up the hill. A sigh escaped her lips as she started walking on.

"I'm gonna see Ava finally after all these days." Alora squealed as she walked past the cruck houses lived in by the people working on the farm.

Not long after she left the barn, Alora got to the palace. There was a door they take specially to reach the kitchen which was the only place they are entitled to.

"Ava." Alora squealed as she saw her best friend who was coming out of the store wiping her apron.

"Alora." Ava rushed to her to help her pull the basket of yams off her head before enveloping her in a tight hug. "I've missed you. It's been days since I saw you last."

"I missed you too." Alora giggled.

"You two go outside to exchange pleasantries." One of the cooks called from where she was, cooking for the royal family.

"You've been told severally not to talk when cooking for the royal family." Someone yelled from the store and the first lady kept shut but gestured to the two friends to get out of the kitchen.

Ava pulled Alora out of the kitchen chuckling gently. "Thank you for saving me. I've been in the kitchen since three days ago and couldn't go out. There are guests who would be leaving today thankfully."

"I wanted to ask you to come over to the creek with me tonight. We can have dinner as we chat right after you serve them inside." Alora suggested and Ava nodded happily.

"Thank goodness. After all these days, I would finally rest for a second. Will you make your delicious porridge and vegetable soup?" Ava asked.

"Of course that's what we're having for dinner today anyways." Alora giggled and Ava squealed.

"Ava get inside her and help me prepare apples for the apple pie." The head cook yelled at Ava from where she stood.

"Yes ma'am. I'll be there in a minute." Ava called back and hugged her best friend before running back to the kitchen.

Alora smiled before turning back to walk down the hill. As she walked on, she looked down at the beautiful scenery below her. The kingdom's farm was located just below the palace. This was the only commercial farm in the kingdom and it was owned by the head of the kingdom. It had thousands of peasants working on the farm.

Those people who come to work from the village works daily and returns to their home while there are some who don't live in the village and had cruck houses just before the large farm that covers hecters of land.

The sight was the one to hold and Alora loved it that way. Going up to the palace was one of her favorite things because she would have a chance to appreciate mother nature.

For sixteen years of living here, she had never gotten tired of the beautiful sight of the farm which was alway filled with different crops that had yielded beautifully.

"Get out of my way…."
