CHAPTER 13: THANK GOD, IT’S FRIDAY NIGHT

Donald recalled the first time he met his boss / friend. He was all alone and very lonely for not spending his Christmas with his parents for the first time. He was sitting at the swing while the others were happily playing with the Christmas gifts, they have given to them.

Jenson suddenly approached him and offered him a handkerchief to wipe his tears. He did not notice that he was silently crying. He looked to the person who offers him. A cute little boy keeps on smiling in front of him. He even gave him some chocolates too.

He could not forget the words came from his mouth at that time. "Do not cry because Santa Claus will not happy if he sees you. Here are my chocolates it's as sweet as I am so you will not be sad on Christmas day." Jenson smiled genuinely to him that his tears stopped as he saw the boy patting his shoulder.

They became friends; Jenson's parents even sponsor his studies until he graduated. Now that Jenson offered him a job in Music & Lyrics Bar as a manager.

It was not long ago they opened it to the public. The music bar was doing smoothly great since the opening.

"Boss Jenson, what time your friends will arrive? I will tell the cook to prepare some foods to the VIP." Donald asked.

"Maybe a little bit later. Ocean texted me that he was still on the road to fetch our other friend Rhianna to her house. I will inform you later. It's Friday night it's going to be a very busy night."

"Okay, Boss I will check you later. I will go and assist some of the customers coming." He left his boss Jenson and went out from the office.

Meanwhile, Rhianna was still does not know what to wear. It is her first time going to a bar. She was curious about it.

She just came out from a quick shower. She opened her closet with full of different clothes. It took a while before her mind agrees. She opts to wear a dark jean, white semi loose t-shirt and jean jacket. Her shoes, she prefers sneakers.

She puts perfume all over her body, still wearing her eyeglasses and her signature hairstyle. She checked herself again in whole body size mirror before headed out to her room.

Ocean was already in front of Rhianna main door when Butler Bert opened it for him.

"Good evening Butler Bert." He greeted.

"Good evening too. Come inside."

Rhianna was just in the middle of the stairs when he heard Butler Bert talking to Ocean. Ocean looks so dazzling with his outfit. He is so handsome whatever he wears even in a simple style. His outer looks still yummylicious.

She smiled. Then she quickly slapped her cheek to realize what she was thinking. Ocean looked up the stairs then caught Rhianna slapping her face.

"Hey, what are you doing? Let's go."

"Yeah… yeah! I am coming." Rhianna headed down fast before she could think of weirdness again.

"Nanny Maria, Butler Bert, you two do not wait for me. I brought keys with me. Therefore, you do not have to sleep late tonight. Bye!"

Aloud music heard as they got inside the bar. There were band playing on the stage. Many people already there enjoying the evening.

Rhianna and Ocean just got there when Henley waved at them. Their spot was great; it was really a VIP one. They already ordered foods that were on the table. Sophie immediately hugged Rhianna as soon as she sat down.

Ocean picked up the plate right away then he filled it with some foods and gave it to Rhianna.

"Eat something first before drinking." He demanded.

Rhianna started eating the plate filled with delicious foods. She was starving when they reached the bar. She ate fruits only. Her heart was on cloud nine with Ocean attention. It was good to know that it was slightly dark in the VIP area. If not, the color of her face obviously seen.

Sophie glanced sideways at her friends. She can detect that there is something going on to these two. Actions speak louder than words. She wanted to laugh looking at her best friend. She knew that there is something tickling inside her body right now.

Rhianna felt that Sophie was just laughing at her silently. She looked at her and frowned. Sophie looked away as if she did not notice.

The night is young and they were enjoying. They were singing along with the band, dancing with the crowd. Rhianna was really having fun. She could not imagine herself doing such a thing. When the band played her one of the favorite songs, she was singing along too.

Rhianna did not predict that they were playing 90's songs that night especially her one of the favorite boybands A1. Their songs were all her favorites that's why she knew every lyric of it. She even did sing along with the vocalist.

Ocean was observing Rhianna; she sang the song every well. She sang along with vocalist even they were just in front of the stage. It seems that it was her favorite song or rather favorite artist.

The song the vocalist sang has nice lyrics. He does not know who the original singer was but he did hear that song. After the song, Rhianna and Ocean went back to their table.

"The music we heard just a minute ago. Who sang the original song? Ocean asked Rhianna.

Rhianna looked up, confused. "What are you talking about?

Ocean repeated his questions. "The one you sang a minute ago. Who originally sang that song?"

"Ah, it was a boyband; they were super famous during '90s." Rhianna smiled. "The group called A1; you don't know them."

"No, I do not listen to their songs. Their music and lyrics were nice. So, you loved that group?"

"Oh yeah, I often listen to their songs." Rhianna proudly shared.

The rest of their friends joined them again to the table. Jenson offered each one of them a toast for their friendship. It was a shot of tequila. Rhianna was not a fond of liquor because even she can drink with two glasses. But more than hat her body will not endure anymore.

Henley let her sister Henna drink it but not too much since he was there with her. Sophie tasted the liquor when she was 17 with Rhianna of course. They did some experiment and tried it, so far only she can tolerate alcohol more than five shots, but not the hard one.

Jenson raised his glass. "To our friendship, we did not apprehend to happen but here we are tonight. We are enjoying each other's company. We will live on to the future and more friendship goals. Cheers to us."
