1 ❃Life Arc❃ C1 | The Beginning of Moon

A girl in a school uniform walks home. Her face was gloomy as always. The news about her parents three weeks ago did not lighten her miserable day.

The girl opened her gatehouse. Each step was heavy for her. She sighed after closing the door. The girl has long black hair with style ponytails.

The girl then goes to her bedroom. She put down her backpack and then look herself in the mirror. She sighed. Fat. That's a word that crossed her mind.

Choi Moon Hee. Pretty name but not physical.

Moon: Fat. I'm fat. *sigh* I wonder if I can be slim like a model? *messing her hair* Look at you. *point at the mirror* Fat. Ugly.

Ring! Ring!

Moon looks at her phone. Hana. Name that appeared on the phone screen. A name that she hates. She take a deep breath before answering the call.

Moon: Hello?

Hana: Moon, wanna have a party tonight?

Moon: Err... Sorry, Hana. I'm busy tonight.

Hana: Ok then. Don't forget about tomorrow~

Moon: Haha... I won't.

Moon throws her phone onto the bed. Don't forget about tomorrow. That sentence makes her blood boil. That girl always asks about Moon's money.

She remembered how Hana humiliate her. Hana accuses Moon of trying to steal her sandwich. Childish right? She even bullies Moon and keeps asking for money.

Remembering her pathetic past bring tears to Moon's eyes. She messing with her hair.

Moon: Now what?! I'm a fool! *sobbing* I hate this! *sobbing*

An orange cat came into the bedroom. The cat then sits not far from Moon. It staring at its owner. Moon noticed the cat present and quickly wipe her tears.

Moon: *grab the cat* Why? Are you hungry? *rubs the chin*

Orange cat: Meow!

Moon: Hehe... I will give you food now. *goes to living room*

Moon adopts the orange cat a week before her parents passed away. She found the cat in a bush lured with blood. She immediately takes the cat to the veterinarian's clinic.

Thankfully the cat was only diagnosed with a broken right back leg. A few days later Moon's parents have a car accident. Both of them died on the way to the hospital.

During the funeral, she only looks at the graves. No crying. No whimpering. No tears. She doesn't know how to react. Should she be sad? Should she be relieved?

Not to be an ungrateful daughter, but she doesn't know how to react. Maybe the past teaches her enough. After two weeks of mourning, she finally goes back to school.

She thought something would change, but no. Hana who she hates the most became more aggressive. She ever dares to lay a finger on Moon.

On a rooftop,

Hana: You dare to say no to me, b*tch?! *staring at Moon*

Moon: I'm sorry. It's my fault. *doesn't dare to see Hana*

Hana: *smirk* Tomorrow. I want it tomorrow! You hear that?

Moon: *nodded* Yes. I understand.

Moon touches her right cheek. She sighed. The slap on that day made her hate Hana even more. If only she has strength. Moon sighed heavily.

Orange cat: Meow?

Moon: *smile at cat* It's nothing. *rubs the chin* You know, I feel like I want to move. *smile thinly*

Orange cat: *looks at Moon - wondering*

Moon: I want to live a new life. New place. New school. *looks at cat*

Moon: Wanna come with me? *smile brightly*

Orang cat: Meow!

Moon: *chuckles*

... ✿°•∘ɷ∘•°✿ ..

Moon: I also want to move to a new school.

Someone: Really? How about your friends?

Moon: *annoyed* Don't worry. They will understand. *smirk*

Someone: Alright then. Pack your things. I will tell you once I get the house.

Moon: Okay. Thanks a lot, grandma! *happy*

Grandma: Hmm... You're welcome.

Moon hung up the call. She rushes to go to the living room where her orange cubby cat sleep. The cat opens its eyes when hears Moon's footsteps. Moon immediately hugs the cat.

Moon: You know what? We will be moving to the new house! *excited*

Orange cat: Meow! Meow!

Moon: I know you will be excited! We need to hurry~ Pack all our things~ *put down cat*

Ting!

Moon looks at her phone. Looks like her grandma found her a new house.

Moon: Hehe, you also don't like that creature too, right? She made your lovely owner cry every day. *put down cat*

Orange cat: Meow!

Moon: Yep! That's right! We need to pack our things quickly~!

Next day...

Moon: Yes, sir. I will be moving to another place and school. *politely*

Principal: Hmm... Alright then. You're a good and genius student. We always wish you the best, Moon. *a bit sad*

Moon: *smile thinly* Thank you for all of these wonderful years, sir. I really appreciate it. *stand up then bow*

Principal: You're welcome.

Moon walks out from the principal office. She feels happy. Now she needs to go home and then pack her things. Her grandma told her a lorry will arrive in three days. She needs to pack faster.

"Moon!"

Moon stopped her steps. That voice. The voice that she really hates. The voice that she really prays to not hear. Moon slowly turns back.

Moon: Oh, Hana. *fake smile*

Hana: Why you're going to the principal's office? *approaching Moon*

Moon: Nothing. Just manage some business.

Hana: Oh... I see.

Moon: I know you're just freaking out because I was in principal office. Hmph, afraid about your dirty work busted.

Moon: If nothing else, I will get going now. See ya. *waving Hana*

Moon strives in her steps. She doesn't want that creature named Hana to talk to her again. Enough. Don't wanna.
