Chapter 14: Singing
After school, I went back to my house, and saw Noshiko waiting for me at the entrance of the house, just like we had planned before.
"Come on in." I told her, as I unlocked the door and we walked in.
I hadn't really been cleaning the house really well, except for my room and the first floor, everywhere else was slightly dusty.
Noshiko didn't seem to mind though, as she looked at the house and then asked me, "I need to hear you perform."
I looked at her in confusion and asked her, "Why?"
"I have a hypothesis about your powers, but I need to compare it to your current powers and what it was like before being awakened."
I nodded at that explanation and led her up to the third floor,
Archer had already joined us and was walking beside me, occasionally flopping in front of my feet, wanting me to pet him.
"Wow." Noshiko said, as we walked in. She saw various different types of drums, guitars, violins and so on.
I smirked a little and said, "These are only about half. The other half is in a storage locker."
She was shocked at my revelation, but then smiled as I asked her," So, you're gonna be getting a private concert by one of the greatest musicians alive. Pick any genre and I will play it."
"Including Japanese songs?" She asked.
I stopped in my tracks as I slowly replied, "Maybe any English genre."
"Play anything. Something that draws out your emotions and makes you sing." She told me
Then, she paused for a second, as she turned to look outside of the house and said, "My husband couldn't help himself. Can I bring him up?"
"Sure, in the meantime I will think of a song." I said, as I went into my studio and looked at recorded tracks.
'I could use this song, I only have the vocals left,' I thought, looking at a specific title of the song.
Thinking why not, I set it ready to play at a moment's notice, and warmed my throat up.

(POV Kira)
"Thanks for letting me come dad." I told my father. He was going to meet Augestine for some reason, and Scott and his 'pack,' left earlier from school so I felt vulnerable.
It's just been so scary lately so I wanted to stay with my father where I felt safe, at least for a day.
"It's fine Kira. Augustine just told us he could play the instruments so we are going to watch that." He told me and I nodded.
He briefly told me something like that before as well, but I had barely talked to him after his eczema was…cured?
"We are here." He told us, as we got down to see the house.
It just seemed like a normal house, nothing extremely fancy like ours, so I didn't feel too surprised.
"How could you bring her here!" My mom said in Japanese.
"She felt scared, Noriko. Isn't he just singing today?" He asked with a smile, like he always did when he tried to calm my mom down.
"Stay quiet and close to me." She said as we walked upward where Augestine seemed to be prepping his instruments.
"I hope you don't mind, I brought my daughter." My dad told Augestine who simply smiled and said it was fine.
"Ready to begin?" He asked, and I was slightly weirded out with how comfortable he had become with my parents already. When did he change so much from the awkward kid 2 days ago?
"Yes." My mother said, as we went into the room opposite him, and Augestine breathed in and out, seemingly preparing himself up.
He then instructed my mother to press a button from our side and he had begun his singing.

As Mathew, which is Augustine's real name, had begun singing, I could feel an instinctive reaction to feel sad to his words.
The music, his voice and expression, even across a room with so much electronics in between, I could feel his Cherubim powers affect me.
Maybe it's also because I knew the truth behind his words and his backstory, it just made me more connected to the song.

I turned to my wife, while ignoring Kira in the middle of us, and we made eye contact. Her eyes were glowing and she was in control but I could tell how hard she was trying to not fall for the Pathokinesis, which wasn't even being used. This was simply the synergy between his 2 races.
We then looked down at Kira who seemed extremely emotionally invested, and I regretted bringing her here. My daughter fell into Mathews' powers.

After the song was over, my wife and I turned to Kira, who from my wifes reaction, was in control because of her Kitsune protecting her.
I was in control because of my wife spreading her Celestial Aura around us.
Mortals are going to be completely warped by this man's singing.
(Authirs note: BEFORE YOU GUYS COMPLAIN, NOT OP, NOT OP, stfu ok. He is, it's just he hasn't actually tried to use his powers. He was told to sing so he sang. (POV Mike Ross, couple hours later)
Mathew had just sent me another one of his songs, and this one was also a masterpiece.
Donna herself must have listened to it at least 5 times and she doesn't even like this genre.
"Mike." Donna said, as he walked over to my location in the bullpen, and pulled me aside and brought me to Louis office, where Rachel was already there.
"Mathew made a song and you didn't tell us, we are his number 1 fans!" Louis said, as he turned his laptop and showed me Mathews first song.
"How did you get that I have not uploaded it yet."
"Is that the point?" Rachel asked me and I turned to Donna for her but she didn't say anything.
This was betrayal I tell you.
"We have listened to both his songs." Louis said, before standing up from his seat and saying," And I think we should release 'Silence' first. It is a complete slap to that whore." Louis said.
It had to be said that's a word Louis rarely uses, especially since he loves women.
"I agree with Louis." Rachel said, as she continued, "That woman has ruined his life, and we had to settle just to get out of the entire situation due to 'lack of evidence.' She got away with bribery too and we don't even know how. Jesus they didn't even want to admit his beatings as evidence. We need to tarnish her reputation."
"Rachel, Mathew doesn't want to do this under his name." Donna said.
Then, she explained that Mathew just wanted to sing with a mask on and the name Juiceworld.
"Then, I have an idea for his marketing." Louis said with a slight smirk. "We don't have to hit her now, it can be a long term battle, but making Mathew famous and ruining their company would be a first step anyway."
