Moon Tinted by Red Flames

POV ???

It was the middle of the night, the wind was howling like ghosts, the shadows playing with each other across the broken skyscrapers of the city .

It was just like everyday in this rather sparsely populated city at night.

However, at the center of the dead city with a flash of orange light, an explosion rocked the area.

Out of the raging fire, men with black suits flew out.

They held futuristic weapons in their hands with which they fired towards the shadows, all of which evaded their attacks.

One of the men with a silver star on his chest raised his palms to the sky and muttered an incantation .

A number of incorporeal chains reached out of his hands and held the screaming shadows in place.

The man smiled with satisfaction, when almost immediately a blast of raging fire reached him.

Before he could even blink his eyes he was reduced to ashes.

The raging fire morphed into the shape of a bald man. The said man had ghastly scars across his face .

The rest of the flying men in suits raised their guns, however, the man engulfed in flames simply waved his arms leading them to be engulfed with fire. The men screamed before being burned to ashes .

The shadows which had been trapped were released, all of them morphing into the shape of humans and bowing down in reverence to the bald man engulfed in flames.

"We have been waiting for your return for a long time, our liege."

They presented him with a sceptre. The said man took it and immediately it started channeling terrifying flames.

All the shadows muttered together—

"All hail the Phoenix Lord!"

"All hail the Phoenix Lord!"

The man engulfed in flames asked in a resounding voice.

"Where is Lee Soo Hyuk?!"

One of the subordinate shadows answered.

"Sire. Lee Soo Hyuk has long been dead. He was killed in action during the attack of the Unranked Monster. But his legacy lives on through his apprentice, Kim Rok Soo."

The man engulfed in flames was quiet for a moment before he muttered.

"It is indeed unfortunate that Lee Soo Hyuk is dead. I cannot take my revenge, but his legacy lives on."

The man trailed off. He then raised his scepter into the air and exclaimed.

"It is good that Lee Soo Hyuk is dead! That fellow was the only one who was strong enough to stop me! Now this Ability User world shall see the return of the Lord of Phoenix to power once more! Hahahahaha!"

The subordinate all chanted in a harrowing voice.

"May the Ability User world fear the Lord of Phoenix!"

"May the Ability User world fear the Lord of Phoenix!"

The full moon now seemed to be tinted by red flames.
