Ye Qi has collected a good amount of information. As he had expected there are ways to integrate the bloodline of demon beasts with the body of the human. "By the way, I have to ask. Are the books, the old one, within your family?"

"Who knows." She answered honestly. "Food is most valuable in this world. The books may be or may not be found here. Most of our ancestors has probably traded it for food."

Ye Qi scratched his chin. "I see. So, there is a possibility that there are old ones outside."

Hongyue thought for a moment. She wasn't so smart, yet she wasn't so stupid either.

"You can't possibly think about getting them unless you know how to read them."

"Well." Ye Qi didn't answer her statement. "Stay alert. I may want to see the market, and I may need someone who knows the place. But now, if you excuse me, I have to cultivate a bit."

Ye Qi stood up. The time for Ye Xiu's guard would come soon. So, he can relax and start increasing his power.

"I understand."

Hongyue felt a bit curious about what Ye Qi is thinking. But knowing what kind of relationship they have, she just gave a slight bow, turned, and left.

This time, since Shen Xiu is cultivating next to his seat, Ye Qi had the time to stare at Hongyue's muscled ass and thighs.

Shen Xiu, somehow, was unaware of this change.

Shen Xiu had broken through to the Golden rank on the first day.

Meanwhile, Ye Qi started ascending through the rank. In just a few hours, he got to the third star of the Gold Rank. Meanwhile, his wife was climbing the ranks as fast.

For sure, Ye Qi understood why Nie Lie could buy the other members of the Snow Wind family with the blood crystal.

It was so helpful.

The days continued, and Ye Qi continued getting up through the ranks.

By a couple of weeks, he managed to push himself to the peak of the 4th Star Gold rank. Ye Qi was so happy and excited by this change.

Just a few more blood crystals, few more days, and he will reach the 5th star, and then, he would be able to make a counter inscription on Shen Xiu.

Meanwhile, Shen Xiu had managed to break through to the second star.

In her life, she never dreamt of reaching this level by her age.

One must know that the first genius in the Glory City, from her generation, is her previous classmate, Ye Han, who happened to be the foster cousin of Ye Qi.

In the weeks he had been here as their masters, she got used to him. Bad life, but whatever.

"I'm here, as you summoned me." She addressed respectfully, knowing that Ye Qi won't let a misspell from her mouth go easily.

"Good. Have you gotten the books I have asked for?" Ye Qi asked. He would surely benefit from the researches of the ancestors for himself.

"Yes, the ones of the family are here. However, the rest that belongs to the market and other families, I can't provide it since we don't own them."

Hongyue observed Ye Qi, who settled his hand on his chin as though he was thinking about something.

Ye Qi then shook his head, raised his head, and said. "Fine, you are going to show me the market."

Hongyue just nodded and flapped her wing in response.

Ye Qi soon prepared himself, had some quick love session with Shen Xiu, who told him to come back safe, and then he departed with the silver winged girl.

On their way, Hongyue told him about the territory they are heading. Although it's under the protection of a rather enemy family, the market they are going to is still a neutral place.

Sikong Hongyue wasn't as known as her father, but still, people would recognise her from her wings. She assured Ye Qi that it won't be a problem.

"Whatever." Ye Qi said as the two of them were travelling by jumping between the trees.

Soon, between the fog, they spotted a village.

Landing on the ground, Ye Qi looked forward.

So, this place is where he can get what he needs in order to probably achieve a new easy way to reach the peak of physical strength.

The two of them entered what appeared to be a small wooden town. Ye Qi looked around. The wood that the houses were built with was cracked. The buildings materials seemed to be too old. Ye Qi shook his head and started scrolling with his eyes, picking up things.

"Interesting."

Across the market, people were sitting down with their things offered for anyone who wants to buy them.

Ye Qi nodded, however, he noticed something.

The people were extremely skinny, with their clothes shattered.

'Poor guys.' He thought as his lips twitched for a bit. Ye Qi wasn't a self-righteous character. But he wasn't heartless.

Hongyue seemed to walk while taking this as normal sight.

Ye Qi shook his head. He started looking around. Hongyue, despite being somehow cruel, was reliable when it came to doing the tasks.

Soon, Ye Qi started buying things.

He ended up getting many books from different merchants. As he noticed, to these people, those things were their families' inheritance. But the extreme hunger made them sell it for cheap food.

Guess what Ye Qi found. Some offensives scrolls with Legend Rank inscriptions. Ye Qi remembered them from TDG. Although the scrolls seemed to be inactive, once one clean them, they would be active again to be used.

'And a card to defeat even a legend rank demon beasts, and of course, someone who is Dark Gold is assured to die.'

Ye Qi looked at the scrolls and put them in his storage ring. With his eyes to see the past, he can fix them up anyway with ease. Meanwhile, the old man whom Ye Qi bought this from was sniffing the bags of the meat and almost crying for getting such precious food for such useless scrolls.

Hongyue, on the other hand, was looking at Ye Qi with her jaw dropped. Did he just… why is he just wasting such precious food on them. She had that idea in mind. Knowing Ye Qi's temper, however, she didn't voice it. Ye Qi seemed to be quite soft-hearted. But he is tougher than steel when it is necessary. But still, she felt that the more food he spends on the people here, the less the food her family back would get.

"I think you misheard him. He asked for a little food, not for that price." Hongyue said as she looked at the man. "Do I take the rest?"

"Leave him." Ye Qi gave her his back and walked away with his hands behind his back.

Hongyue just snorted at the happy old man and followed Ye Qi. Hongyue thought that it would stop just now. However, he was still getting things for a higher price.

Of course, to Ye Qi, it was almost free. In Glory City, a family would live so well with just 3000 demon coins, with enough food for them to eat. For someone like Ye Qi, his daily allowance is more than the yearly gains of many aristocratic families.

He didn't mind giving people here some extra food.

"Why are you doing this."

"Doing what?"

Ye Qi finished buying the last book about the physical bodies and bloodlines. He turned to Hongyue, as she seemed to be curious about something.

"You're wasting food," Hongyue said.

If one looked carefully at her, because of the good meat Ye Qi had been feeding them, her boobs started growing well.

"It's mine. I do whatever I want with it. Why do you care about it in the first place?"

"Whatever." She turned her face.

Ye Qi made eye contact with her and smirked. "Don't worry. Do a good job and you won't have to worry about your own food."

Hongyue looked back at his eyes. Her facial expression eased up. "I'm already doing a good job."

"Mm…" Ye Qi nodded. He then smirked. Hongyue has a very good talent as it seems. Even without a demon spirit, she is a 5th star Gold rank — better than his foster cousin. Although she is a fighter, she still has the same amount of soul force as a fifth star Gold spiritualists.

For now, Ye Qi thought that Sikong Hongyue can be more valuable than Duan Jian now. Not to mention, since he is in control of her life, she can't betray him anyway.

Seeing her looking around, Ye Qi took something out of his storage ring and threw it at her.

Hongyue narrowed her eyes and looked at what's in her hand.

A demon spirit.

She opened her eyes widely.

That shocked her for sure. Because the people in this world don't have demon spirit, most of them are like fighter-spiritualists. They have talent, but not good

"If you do a good job, you may even get a better cultivation method." Ye Qi said as he put his hands behind his back. "And, probably, a Thunder-bird demon spirit. It may help you with your disease since it transfers its bloodline. Nothing is promised."

Hongyue, despite knowing that he is in control of her, would be dumb to refuse that. She had lost to spiritualists a rank lower than her, and now, she realised the difference these spirits can add. Duan Jian had got a method from him, and his cultivation is rising at a scary rate, as he had broken through.

Not to mention, he mentioned the possibility of curing their families' disease, with limit their life span to 60 years.

"Thank you." She whispered so quietly.

Ye Qi extended his hand.

Hongyue held it, bowed down and kissed his storage ring.

Ye Qi, despite having a cold expression on his face, his eyes were on her cleavage that was exposed when she bowed down.

He half-closed his eyes. Those melons were smooth, it appears, and their owner was a beautiful athlete woman.

But soon, he remembered his purpose and lifted his eyes.

"Now. Tell me, are there more families with something good."

"There is the Black Dragon family. They have the Black Dragon bloodline, yet they don't know how to activate it. Seven hundred years ago, one of their individuals did it. And they controlled the whole nether realm. But after his death, our family regained control, before other wars went in."

"I see. Where they live?"

Ye Qi wanted their ancestor's researches. After all, knowing how to have a demon beast bloodline can make him way stronger than he is now.

"I don't recommend it. Despite their patriarch being Black Gold, he is so strong. Also, they are in alliance with another family. Even our Silver Wing Family don't clash directly with them."

"Where do they live?" Ye Qi repeated his question.

Seeing that her words didn't hold weight on Ye Qi, she robbed her throat and said. "They are in the north. However, I still don't see how you are going to sneak…"

She paused for a brief as a smirk was drawn on Ye Qi's face.

Some parts of his body started getting covered in the dark fog.

She opened her eyes widely. That's right, she remembered. Ye Qi, a few weeks ago, could fight her family without them even knowing where he is. Not to mention, Ye Qi could beat 4 Black Gold fighters alone. And he is stronger than before.

She advised, "fighting four isn't like fighting an army."

Ye Qi's body faded away in the thin air, leaving Hongyue staring at his back in awe.

She then looked in front of her. There were some camps and poor buildings. Many people with black wings were forming lines to have some food.

Hongyue held her sword and sat down, before looking at the demon spirit that Ye Qi had given to her.

Should she try to integrate with it?

After all, it only requires them to open her soul realm and then merge with the demon spirit.

Ye Qi would take his time, so probably it would be a good idea to hide in some spot and merge her soul realm with the spirit.

Sitting cross-legged, she took what seemed like a sparrow surrounding by lightning and started merging with it.

Meanwhile, Ye Qi was having an easy time moving in his void form.

Still, moving around was quite annoying since he didn't know this place very well. However, nothing could stop him as he could bypass walls, like a ghost that could merge with shadows.

That's why his spirit's name is Shadow Devil.

Ye Qi spied around and listened carefully to the people around him. Soon, he knew where the library is, so he moved there.

Since the language of the books they are using had changed a long time ago, Ye Qi found what he needed in the library of the family, thrown in the corner.

"Bingo."

He murmured when he opened the books after getting out of his void form.

Since Ye Qi can understand that language, he could understand the topics and differentiate the books from each other.

The books were talking about a precise biology and soul force — an advanced form of medicine where the demon beast blood is used.

These methods would change someone's bloodline for good, and it may even affect his children.

The writer of these books has experienced his methods with Black Dragon essence blood.

Knowing that he needs the knowledge here for future improvement, Ye Qi took everything.

When Ye Qi remembered how the people were outside, hungry, waiting for food, he emptied one of the storage rings from food, before entering the void form again and leaving the castle again.

In this form, even the walls wouldn't stand in Ye Qi's way. So, he could leave with ease.

She just opened her eyes after the demon spirit entered her soul realm.

As it resembled, the demon spirit had quite a low level.

However, it was feeding on her soul force to grow stronger, and it getting bigger with the second.

Noticing how it became Silver Rank, she just giggled. "This is great."

Focusing on the sparrow that was surrounded by lightning, she decided to merge with it. As it seems, another pair of energy wings grew around her back. Her muscles got tougher, and she can fly now so easily. Float, in fact. And she felt great. Probably, she can move toward the sky. After all, despite having wings, they are for boosting her speed, not flight.

"So, it should grow to Gold Rank after it gets fed with my soul force."

She remembered her fight with Shen Xiu and couldn't help but desire a rematch.

However, it was impossible, since it would mean facing an assured death if she pissed off Ye Qi or Shen Xiu.

Flapping one wing, a lightning bolt ascended to the sky, and she took a step back, saying ops.

She alerted the people down.

"An invader!"

Someone yelled. The soldiers down took their weapons

"Ha…" Ye Qi appeared from thin air, a disappointed look on his face.

Seeing that reaction on his face, she felt a stab in the chest. It was like Ye Qi was looking at her like she is a silly girl.

"What!" she replied with a frown. "Don't frown at me. I'll fight them. You can go back."

She feared that he would make one of his remarks, which usually humiliate her. What a bad master he is.

"Whatever…"

Ye Qi, all of the sudden, held her hand.

Hongyue's mind paused for a brief when she looked at her hand. Some blood started rushing to her cheeks. An unmarried woman like her has never held hands before.

What's more. He was holding her hand in such a situation. Could it be he is planning to run with her like that?

"What… Wh—at are you… why are y-ou h-old-ing my hand." Frowning, she said; her chest huffing as embarrassment took over her red face. "I'm not a married woman. I'm still noble!"

But, in no time, the view in front of her changed, and they were back in the palace.

"Stop being a drama queen." Ye Qi rolled his eyes, but he didn't take his hand back. Instead, he felt her skin a bit.

Hongyue blinked twice. She was more focused on the change rather than the strange feeling. Did they teleport?

It seems so.

Ahem. Faking a cough, she stood back and said. "Thanks."

"You're welcome…"

Ye Qi, she noticed, glanced at her chest, a long one that went four seconds and turned.

"Armour can hinder you sometimes, try to change it to a more comfortable one." He then walked away, leaving her having her jaw dropped.
