It took almost half an hour for Li Ming and Ning'er to travel to the mountainous area where the herd of Earth Devours lived. It was not very far from Glory City actually, but a little out of the way, west of the entrance leading to the Endless Forest.

"You wouldn't think they'd be so small to look at," Li Ming whistled with amusement as he watched the huge group of demonic beasts from the top of a large tree branch, the vast majority of them taking huge bites the mountainside or the ground, while the rest lay quietly and basked in the warmth of the sun.

From the size of a common demon dog about five feet tall and more! And they were also incredibly formidable. They walked on all fours, with huge spikes protruding from their backs to the tip of their tails, huge razor-sharp fangs and horns curling from the top and sides of their heads.

"I count a total of ten demonic beasts of spiritual rank," commented Ning'er beside him on the branch, "It must be a small herd, which may have been culled recently. If I'm not mistaken, I see four one-star bronze ranks, two three-star ranks, three four-star ranks, and the really big one must be five-star ranks."

"Good eyes," said Li Ming, patting the girl on the head and laughing inwardly when her face blushed at the gesture, "You are almost right." He range had increased somewhat since him had reached silver rank and he could sense the power of these beasts. There were some that were incredibly close to surpassing the one-star bronze rank, and they would probably get there in the next few days, but other than that Ning'er was completely fine.

"... How are you going to do it?" the orange-haired girl asked, "I know some offensive techniques, but none are able to overcome their armor right."

Ning'er looked at Li Ming in curiosity, wondering what he was going to do. From what he knew, the natural armor of an Earth Devours grew along with his soul strength. The stronger he became, the stronger his armor was. Nothing less than a silver weapon would be able to pierce their natural armor.

"It's nothing I can't handle," smiled Li Ming, and he stepped forward to the edge of the branch. as he could feel his Aspect Totem begin to burn with intensity as the image of a bony beast appeared behind him and began to roar with ferocity.

Li Ming put her palms together and, to Ning's amazement, a black flame formed, emitting such intense heat that even she had to admit that she had a feeling that from this distance she might end up in ashes; moreover, thanks to her sensory abilities, she could feel the pure power radiating from the flame in her hands.

A bright, luminescent flame of deep ebony black that seemed to suck in all the light around it. Then Li Ming joined his hands, fusing the flame with two small orbs in a chaotic pulse of pulsing black and white, before throwing his hands forward in front of him, "Yin Yang Flame."

For a moment, Ning'er thought she had gone deaf. The pure noise that erupted, as if the air was vibrating apart, left everything dumbfounded toward her as a huge beam of black and white energy shot forward traveling the hundreds of meters between their position and that of the greatest Eater on Earth, surrounded on all sides by many of his own kind.

*BOOOOM!

A huge explosion was unleashed as the blast hit the demonic beasts and the entire surroundings before they even had a chance to realize what was happening, erupting outward in a gigantic dome of furious and chaotic black-and-white power and running over dozens of earth-eaters.

What power! Ning'er gasped as she looked at the boy in front of her, as the explosion went off a few moments later, revealing a huge crater at the spot where the blast had hit, and the corpses of the largest of the Earth Eaters, along with a hundred others, surrounding him.

"Was he really the same age as her?" was all Ning'er could think. Hell, was he really just a one-star silver rank? The power of that attack seemed far greater than that of all the silver ranks she had seen produced in her Winged Dragon clan.

She knew that Panda Fang's Yin Yang blast was an extremely powerful ability, but her had never imagined that it could unleash such devastation!

"Rampage! Claws of Darkness!" Li Ming was not even lazy as he waited for the results of his attack to die down. A crimson flame like aura burst into life around he body and claws made of a black substance covered his entire arms.

Without a word to her, Li Ming descended from the branch and landed on the ground, then exploded forward in a display of pure speed that Ning'er could not even follow with her eyes...

All he saw was a red-black blur before the bodies of the Devours of Terra began to fall. They hadn't even found out what had happened with his initial attack, and he was already in their midst, ripping through them with his bare hands like an invincible raging beserk.

Xaoi Ning's thoughts went back to before, when he was practically laughing at the thought of Shen Fei, a one-star gold rank trying to fight him because he was around her. And now she understood why he was so confident.... She could really see him easily defeating someone like him, who despite being a gold rank only reached there through huge amounts of elixirs and soul pills.
