Background information and timeline (sort of)

Some millions of years ago some powerful expert, possibly above the Supreme level, created the Tiny World (Divine continent) for unknown reasons. Maybe to experiment on the nature of the cultivation. He or she limited the level of cultivation in that world.

Some time later, a Supreme expert appeared in the Draconic Ruins world possibly descending from the realm above. He brought Temporal Demon Spirit Book with him.

Sage Emperor appeared. He got his hands on three remnant pages of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book and researched it for a long time. Theoretically, he cultivated Heaven's Divination technique which allowed him to understand the meaning of the book partially. This allowed him to create the Heavenly Dao Inscription Array of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths seal. He sealed the Draconic Ruins Realm and its 3000 lower worlds to refine them.

Many experts opposed him during his reign, interrupting his plans. He is looking for the rest of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book and suspects that it's in the Tiny World. During the ages, many treasures that Sage Emperor wanted to get his hands on or destroy were hidden in that world.

The Tiny world's barriers were created by an expert above the Supreme level and Sage Emperor with his Emperor rank cultivation is powerless to break it. So he decided to take over the world with the help of local Demon races. But considering the maximum level of cultivation in that world is the Legend rank, not many sentient demons exist there, making his task difficult.

But still, he was able to wipe out most of the human presence in that world. In other words, he is responsible for the Spiritual Gods war and Demon Riot. There may have been other actions he had taken against the Tiny world, but no records of those times survived.

Human Spiritual Gods and Demon Spiritual gods fought for dominance some 30-35 thousand years ago. Even though Human Spiritual gods were outnumbered two to one they were able to achieve mutual destruction of the gods of both races. Spiritual gods of other races and subsidiary worlds stayed neutral or got destroyed as well. This war ended the Snow Wind Empire Era for humanity.

10 thousand years ago one of the Demon spiritual gods Ice Spiritual God Zhu Long awakened. He caused the Demon Riot to wipe out most of the Human empires in the Divine continent. But considering that there were other Spiritual gods more powerful than him he couldn't finish his conquest and entered seclusion to cultivate. He plans to take over the Divine Continent and the subsidiary worlds connected to it. Most likely he has connections to Demon sects of the Draconic Ruins Realm. The Sacred Empire Era ended and the Age of Darkness began.

Humans wandered around in the ruins of the world creating settlements. But most of them get destroyed rather quickly. Glory City is one of them. It was created 1-2 thousand years ago and currently has only one Legend rank demon spiritualist. If he dies, the city cannot withstand a serious demon horde attack. Even with him, the chances of the city surviving are very low.
