Chapter 01: Mysterious Portal
POV:- Arthur Leywin
I was sitting on a chair in my room at centra academy.Caera and I have planned to enter the relic tomb .
It was nearly the time we decided to enter the relic tomb,1am,because I seriously don't want more attention than I already have.If anyone sees Caera entering my room then the reason behind her visit will be the least of the concern, specially in this academy rumors tends to spread at an unimaginable rate.
While lost in my I heard a know on my door.
"Come in"
"Is everything ready"It was Caera ,while I know that It is common courtesy to knock on the door before entering ,I donot understand the the reason why she did It .It was simple ,1st we have already decide to meet here and second that the noise might wake up other or rather alert other.
"Yeah everything is ready lets go"
We entered the portal and it led us to what I assume was a cave.The special thing about this cave was that it had crystals on its floor growing like shrubs.We decided not to touch it as there was no sign of aether in it so i assumed it wasn't a necessary part of the ascent and also Regis and I kinda get a vibe that nothing good will come by touching a wild shrub made of crystal assuming our luck .
"What the hell is this place"Regis speak in my mind
"Really ,we have been walkin for about 6 hours and this tunnel just keeps going on and on "I replied to Regis while turning to see Caera if she knows something.
She just shook her head ,showing that she also has no Idea about this .While I have my Asurian body and Regis was inside we have no problem continuing our journey but Caera was a bit worn off.We decide to take a break before advancing further in.
"Arthur why not try that relic compass it might give us some clue "Regis suggested
I took out the relic from my dimension rune and activate it.It quickly pointed toward walls of the cave,no rather it pointed towards the crystal shrub .
I got up and went to the crystals shrub .I closely observed it.After few minutes I touched the shrub.The crystal shrub shattered on my touch and with that all the crystals started shatter.
"I am getting a bad feeling Arthur"Regis warned me
"We It was pretty much clear that this isn't good but still thank you my majestic Wolf"
Soon after shattering the crystals started to move and form several crystal golem.
Caera and I rushed towards the golems.Caera with her blade tried to slash the Golem but the golem didn't even got a scratch.There was also a lot of force in her attack but the golem didn't even move a bit,so I decide to put more force my attack .Instructing Regis to move into my fist I used gauntlet form this time golem moved back a bit but still unscratched and there were more golems like this one .
The golem threw a punch toward me,I dodge the attack and lept back.To my surprise only 2 golems
were engaged in attacking us while the others just stood there doing nothin.
' Think Arthur think there must be a aether art to solve this problem ,I donot think god's step is of any use ,Then an idea came in my mind .
I quickly activated my god rune and started to reverse back time .To my surprise , the golems started shake and soon again broke into small crystal particles just like before but this time after everything turned into crystal they started to rumble again.Afraid that it might again take back the that form we quickly took fighting stances but this it started to take an oval ring form .After completely forming a large ring the space between the ring started to glow it just looked like a portal.
Its centre glowed bright green but not radiating any light in the surrounding.
"What is that ,Is it a portal" Caera asked confused
by the event that took place earlier.
"I guess so and seeing that there is no way around shall we go inside"I asked Caera who simply noded
.And thus we entered the ' Mysterious Portal
