21. Power of time
After my Father said the word about him not having any speak towards the bond I and Arthur have, The king Look at Arthur on the eyes, I did the same and what I see shock me for a second.
The look of him is like it says that if the King wants anything regarding his bond then he sure will try every possible means to kill the King, to the point at having the result to be an enemy of the whole Kingdom or even the whole human kind.
I put my arms in his shoulder urging him to calm him self down before he make any rash decision that will harm him or our family as a whole, I was not against him angry at the King, I too quite annoyed by it because I know if the mage don't set his eyes on Sylvie that means he will set his on Mars, so thinking about it make me infuriated.
After that brief stare down and the King sees that Art finally calms down a bit, he asked him but sounded more like an forced agreement "How about it? you've heard it yourself so I don't want to repeat myself again, I assume the Royal armory would have a suitable sword for a young knight such as you" Said the king.
Arthur who has calmed down answer the King with respect regarding his refusal, but the king seems hell bent of getting Sylvie for the royal Mage who seems the name is Sebastian, the King even ask if we will trade it for his world Lion saying that a natural predator bond would be better that reptilian one.
"My apologize your majesty but it seems I haven't made my self clear, I. Do. Not. Intend. To sell. My bond. for any. Price" said Arthur giving each and every word so that the King understand it fully.
"Hah, I have asked you twice child, twice. And my patience is running thin, so I will ask one last time, Will you gave me your bond?" Said the king with full authority in his voice.
"Hah... Its stupid really" I said while making everyone around surprised by it, "Your Majesty the King, Blaine Glayder, King of the Kingdom of sapin, may I ask you a question?" I said clearly with a tone that will make everyone thinks that I was searching to die.
the king glance at me notting that I go ahead speak even with my arrogance "I'll trade my bond, but... Will you gave Kathyln to me?" I said while showing my aura, Arthur who was beside me clearly surprised at what have I done.
"You've asked my brother his bond thrice and he clearly rejected all of it, And it seems your pride as a king cannot take that rejection, you know what bond is to someone, that's why its called 'bond' in the first place, and you just said a simple compensation will be enough to trade it?" I said with a heavier tone than the King use.
"So... King Glayder, how much, yoh will sell your child for? is my bond enough for it?" I asked while still looking the king dead in his eyes.
the king must know that at this point, two 8 years old boy is not afraid of the consequences of offending him and will not care if anything happens if they take the bond from them, it is what I clearly show him in my eyes.
Everyone was shocked by my word to the point many thinks killing me would not be enough to appease the King, Suddenly a Guards charge forward at my position with a sword fully drawn and depending on his mana concentration he intend to cut me in half.
I take out my sword and parry his with mine, I use a bit of magic strengthening to my legs and kick him in his abdomen, the Knight was sent flying, but the other one also comes to attack me.

Arthur who once standing still move his body up and appear behind me to punch the Knight in his head, I who sees an opening quickly and turn my body to kick hin using tornado Kick, the knight who rushes at me got knocked away but Sebastian who sees this, quickly ready his spell and tries to attack us.
all of this is happening less than a second to the point where no one is capable of knowing what actually happen, the Queen just shout stop but it was too late considering the determination Sebastian have, but something unexpected happen.
I was readying up my shadow mage to absorb whatever Sebastian was planing to use, if I were to try and hold my self back, I know that an attack from a Royal Mage would not be weak in the least.
but, it seems times got stopped, nothing happen and after that I just see Sebastian in the ground with his leg broken and Arthur not far from him laying down seems to be losing consciousness, this happen in a mere second that the King himself still tries to get what is happening.
After all of that happen, the king decide that the matter is over and they will investigate what have happen and will send some compensation regarding what happen here.
Its been 8 hours after Arthur is unconscious and still laying in his bed, me on the other hand is accompanies, dad who seems to be talking about the compensation the kingdom wi gave, My dad was adamant about not wanting this kind of compensation saying that his sons almost died.
'Well, I think the one who is almost died is me, and looking the guards and Sebastian before... I think they were who is in danger here' I thought but didn't voice it out.
they were still debating until Art say thay it is all good and we will take the compensation, it is around 500 gold enough for some shopping spree I guess, I was thinking of what to buy with that money.
Later that day, we were discussing about who will be our guardian for the time we were gonna be an adventurer, me who know anyone is don't matter because I will refuse one and I wilk probably tell Arthur my plan.
So later they were discussing and come in conclusion that Jasmine will be the one who will be our guardian, after that, I get back home alone after hearing that Art will go back to the auction storage to search for some sword, before that he told me to see the mask and coat that he got for me.
So after I walked back home I go towards his room and see that there are packing with my name in it, 'hoo Quite neat eh' I thought.
he left some wear and also on mask with what looks like some kind of monster with black and while lines in it.
~Outfits and Mask Img, I am too lazy to describe them lol.

~Woahhhh and this is the arc I'm waiting the most, and here Arch will get a power ups, that many will say he will be so OP. but anyway I also hope he is not too op, I will be taking 2 days break for uploading maybe I will up 1 in those 2 days but Idk anyways Thank you for reading and Much love The author <3
