15. Defeating Cyithia Goodsky
After Vincent say the word about him. wanting to make us attend the Xyrus Academy, which make me annoyed by hearing it and it seems Art also thinks the same, we decide to stop it there.
"With all due Respect, but thinking that this may decide our future, me and my brother want to have a say in this conversation" said Art to Mr.Vincent who make all of us in the dining table surprised.
"What he trying to say is, that we just get back home and still missing our family, and from what I know, to attend Xyrus Academy and not stand out like a sore thumb, you need to be at least 12 to 13 years old, and also we haven't talked about the tuition fees" I said trying to explain the outburst that Art have.
"With you guys talent, it will be a worthwhile investment to do so you don't need to think too much about the tuition fees and also, I have been doing some business with the head master so its fine" Said Mr.Vincent.
"Even so, we both still want to think about it more deeply, and.. we also don't want to stand out too much basically saying it will be 3 more years before it happens" I said still stuck with my decision.
Arthur just nod and with a simple excuse, stand up and walk away with me just bowing to the Helstea Family and going back to my room, walking back, I never seen where Art go, so I decide to go back to my own room.
in the morning, I heard that Mother and Tabitha will be going on to shopping spree with Ellie in toe, so Art and me got invited, I just nod like ny usual self that night which I kind of regret remembering how girls usually shopping.
I got woken up by Mars who nudge me on my face and lick it countless times until I woke up, I was preparing to go to bath before hearing a knocking sound on my room door.
"Yo, wake up already? that's not fun, but go prepare we will soon be going, I'll go first with Ellie and also, go take care of that hair will you? you look like a princess" Said Art to me.
I see my hair has grown out so much to the point where I look like a girl, I take a bath with Mars who seems to enjoy swimming and washing himself up, after that I dry my hair and tie it to ponytail, it is not that long to be tied like my original self but it is still ponytail nonetheless.
I took out the clothe that Tess gave me for my 6th birthday and wore it down, it is a black jacket with a black T-shirt inside and a long black pants it is a casual wear with a hood in the jacket, I also added some pull able mask to the jacket to make it easier if I need to do something secretly.
and I also wore a pair of gloves who covers my tattoo, I walk out of my room and towards the dining table where I have my breakfast and go shopping with my Mother.
we were in the market when we see a lot of stuff, I see Art got himself an haircut and Mother want to say the same to me but I refuse to because I seems more used with a ponytail than a short hair.
we were getting back to our house when I see my father and Vincent talking to someone in the living room.
"Ah you guys are back, come here boys, I have someone whose I'd like you to meet" said Vincent with excitement.
We see towards the woman who wore a classic mage rome and hear her introduce herself "you must be Arthur and Archon Leywin, let me introduce my self, my name is Cynthia Goodsky the headmaster of xyrus Academy" said her.
we just stare at her thinking what she is doing when she extend her arms to me, I just thought that it was just a handshake and proceed with approaching her arms with my hand to do a handshake when I got pushed down by my mother.
"I'm really sorry for my sons rude behavior director Goodsky, they just got back and don't know the formal customs" said my mother holding me and Arthur head down.
I just glanced at Art and he just shake his head knowing that this will not end quickly, 'this guy is thinking bout food' I thought knowing how Art face that want something to eat.
"it's quite alright, if anything I'm the rude one for intruding in this late hour. but I can't just ignore a favor from Vincent after all his deeds to Xyrus Academy" Said madam Goodsky.
"Please, I just helped out in the hope to help out the academy who Lylia one day will attend to" Vincent said in humbleness, I took notice of it and sees that Lilia is not one bit pleased by the word.
'a big expectation from your own family is not good huh?' I thought "It is not everyday I go to visit potential student, but Vincent piqued my interest when he said a prodigy is residing in his house, especially you Arthur Leywin" said Madam Goodsky.
"Would you mind lending us an open space so I can see a demonstration?" Madam Goodsky said to Tabitha, which she answered with a simple sure and proceed to lead her away.
"before that, Madam I will only show you some after my Brother do so, he is my role model you see" said Arthur giving me the spotlight.
"Y- y- you!" I said in stutter shocked by what my brother did 'You know I'm a Darkness mage, I hate spotlight even before I become one' I send him a glance, and him knowing what I think just gives me a apologetic face.
"Oh, so you said that your brother is more of a prodigy that you yourself?" Madam Goodsky said, "I am not, and me or Art being a prodigy is not something we know because only those around can judge it, and also, if talking about strength then, I am confident to say that my little brother never did defeat me in both swords art or Magic" I said confidently.
I don't like to take the spotlight but, I always took pride in my own strength and never planned to hide it after it has been found out.
after saying those we are walking to the courtyard that Vincent sets up for us, "My... what a lovely mana beast you have there" said Madam Goodsky looking at Mars and Sylvie.
"I see a lot of mana beast who which noble usually have and I never seen one in my life who looks like yours, what species it is?" Asked her.
"her mother is a scaled winged wolf who is on its death door and I happen to stumbled upon her nest, well I guess I got lucky" Said Art.
"Mine is the same, we both find two Eggs and decide to take one for ourself, so it can be said that Mars and Sylvie is the same species" I said.
'Since when did I become a wolf?' said Mars in my head, 'Just take it, many will be shocked knowing that you are are a Dragon so we need to hide it' I answered him.
After that we arrived at a paved out place with a stage looking square, I guess vincent did a lot of stuff to prepare this place.
"Well seeing that you don't intend to use that wand in your waist, the I will also go bare handed" I said and which the Director just smiled.
I prepare my self and took a deep breath, I cover my self with my Lightning and wind then stomp on the ground to make it crack and send out a piece of boulder to her way to test the water.
She defend her self using wind to cover her body, and I go forward with my speed to punch her, I cover my hand with lightning and go at her, she just blast me away with her wind.
I orient my self using wind and using Shadow Teleportation to appear behind her, then use shadow blade the point at her neck but I stoped and said "Umm... you lost I guess"
"This..." she is still surprised by the fact that she lost to an 8 years old boy, "how did you appear behind me when I blast you away?" asked her, "It is kind of unique Magic that I have, called Darkness magic, it can use darkness element but I will not say more than that" I said not wanting to show my card.
"hoo.. It seems I found a gem, hmm" She thought and cover ourself using sound magic "so what do you want?" she asked me.
"Hah, you understand me well Director, well I will tell you first my brother there is a quad mage who have became a deviant at using lightning and me having this unique magic shows how talented we are right?" I said which the director just nod.
"what I truly want is power and influence to help me conceal this fact and also to protect my family from potential dangers" I said, and after I said it the Director seems to have a thought thinking of an answer.
