POV:Ráel

In the city square I overheard various conversations about the Lances. These Six Lances were more than just a group of overpowered mages; they would soon become the very symbol of this continent.

Composed of two lances for each race, they were impartial towards all humans, elves, and dwarves. I had to hand it to the three royal families for coming up with such a bold plan.

With such a glorified incentive—or rather, goal and he kings purposely put a bad light on this new continent so that this mysterious potential common enemy would become the reason for the three races to unite.

A rather interesant and well planed plan but in the end their goal will become the complete opposite.

'So those are the Lances' I thought to my self as I looked at the six people standing before us expect the white haired girl and Lucas brother the others are weaker then me.

Not even the heavens are the limit," I repeated under my breath shaking my head at the arrogance of those words the royals said.

The War will start soon.

After the reveale and everything else Arthur had to do such as going to Gideon and beating up some kids we finally reached the Helstea Manor.

Since Istarted to live here,I have not stoped training. I even had a sparing match with Arthur just in swordmanship and thanks to my ability technique mimicry, I was able to advance in swordmanship really fast.

My core is at peak Mid Silver but its progressing nice and slowly in a month, I should be able to Advance to High Silver

Thanks to my demonic eyes, I am able to use mana perfectly without wasting any and the little interaction that I have with Aether, makes me much stronger than the lances .

'Still there is much more things that can be done with Aether' I though to my self as i looked through the window seeing the sun setting down

'Tonight its Ellies birthday better get ready those two womans wont leave me in peace' I though to my self and shuddering a bit at the mention of those two crazy womans, because of them i had to endure being dressed up a million times and that hair sallon, I wont be visting it anymore.

The ballroom inside the Helstea Manor had been lavishly decorated with colorful string tapestries hung along with other fine embellishments on the tables and stage to match. The elaborate placement of the orbs that made up the chandelier sparkled, creating a serene ambience as the guests started entering through the towering front doors.

I was dressed very formally for the special birthday party the Helsteas and The Leywin family decided to throw for Ellie.

While this world did have formal wear that were very similar to tuxedos from my old world, this world did not have ties. Instead of ties, handkerchiefs were wrapped underneath the collar and tied fashionably.

Sporting a black suit with a black collared shirt

and gray pants leaving the two upper buttons of my shirt opened giving me a more aggresive look and a red handkerchief placed fashionably inside my breast pocket giving a bit of color to the outfit and accentuate my red hair.

My hair were styled in a messy and wavy style completing my look and giving me a cold and aloof vibe.

Welcome. Please come in." Putting on a gentlemanly smile, We welcomed Arthurs sister's lady friends she met at school, a duty we were assigned by his mother and one I wasn't too fond of. I had to act like this all night.

Met with shy giggles and red faces, I kept a gentelmenly smile on as more and more guests started trickling out of their carriages, accompanied by a driver and a chaperone.

By eight in the evening, most of the people on the list had arrived and his mother notified the maid that she and his sister would be coming down shortly.

Well aren't you two dressed all neat and spiffy?" I turned around back toward the door to see Gideon in his signature brown lab coat—a cleaner one at least—and a set of new goggles hanging on his neck.

I completly ignored this crazy man as Arthur replied in a knowing smile as if expecting him to come here "This is quite a pleasant surprise, Mr. Gideon."

"Bah! You and I have a lot to talk about and don't you forget, I'm not leaving you until I'm satisfied!" He, began grumbling before trotting over to the refreshment booth, asking for an alcoholic drink right off the bat

Elijah, who I saw talking with a chaperone girl that was a bit older than us, walked towards me, his shoulder slumped.

"My third time trying to strike a conversation with a girl and they all so kindly made convenient excuses to go elsewhere," he sighed, his crooked glasses further emphasizing his dejection.

Before I had the chance to start teasi—comforting him, I was interrupted by a loud voice.

Everyone, please get ready! Lady Alice and Eleanor are both on their way here!" the maid announced before she signaled to turn off all of the lights.

"...Mama, I thought we were going to go out for dinner? Where are we..."

"SURPRISE!" a synchronized chorus of voices exclaimed.

And the Party began people eating and drinking all around us Elijah trying to flirt with girls and failing miserably girls trying to talk to me and Arthur and the maids walking around offering people drinks and food.

Ahem! Before the party officially begins, I would like to thank you on behalf of my precious daughter for coming here tonight!" As Arthurs father spoke, I spotted his sister blushing in embarrassment as her friends giggled and clapped at this joyous occasion.

"Please start the music!" His father signaled towards the back of the stage where five

musicians stepped out with their instruments.

"It would bring great joy to see my beloved son and daughter have the first dance!" Arthurs father raised his glass higher, his eyes narrowing into a tipsy grin as he requested something that could potentially be disastrous to this party.

'That is why I would never drink alcohol' i though to my self as i saw Arthurs mother and sister being petrified in horror as Arthur asked his sister for a dance.

"Will you honor me with your hand for a dance?" Arthur bowed, slipping off his gloves and placing a hand out in front of his sister

I heard various squeals and giggles from her friends but I ignored it.

Ellie, still fretful at the turn of events, couldn't find the words, so she just nodded her head, accepting his hand and eliciting a round of applause.

And the dance started each step she took mirrored his as they waltzed around the small dance floor formed around us by the dazed crowd. dancing and swaying to the song with grace, since dancing had been something he was required to learn for any formal occasions as a king

He was very good at it even the musicians played along, with their dance as if they were drawing inspiration from the dance before them.

All this combined created a beautiful scenario at wich the crowd could not help but applaud and cheer happly some adults even whistling.

POV:ARTHUR LEYWIN

I slumped in a corner, a glass of apple cider in my hand. The dance gave all the more reason for the adults and chaperones to come and greet me, some hinting for a dance. Putting on a smile and speaking in a higher pitch than usual to sound more respectful could get tiring.

I spotted Elijah dancing with a girl that looked around our age—maybe a year younger—probably one of the older friends of my sister.

I guess he finally managed.

"Why dont you dance with someone Ráel all those girls are waiting for you" I asked my friend beside me he did not immediatly replie .

"You know I was raised by bandits who do you think would teach me dancing" Ràel replied as he took a sip of orange juice in his hand.

"Hahah sorry I forget sometimes, because of your prince like appearenc"I chuckled at my mistake as I thought about him Ráel

Truly a strange one at his age he should not be that strong and yet here he is standing right before me through our sparing, I was completly defeated by him in strength and speed his control over mana, is off the charts and his usage of the elements is not something a kid like him should know.

Most importantly his close combat and swordmanship are at such a high level that only a few people in this continent might defeat him in a fight.

He is even more of a "Monster" than me.

"The same goes for you Arthur why are you not dancing with the ladies" Ráel said to me in his usual cold voice.

"You know that Girls our age seem like a baby to me" I replied in my usual excuse I use.

"So you like older women than" Ráel asked me more like teasing my and from the looks of it he is enjoying it.

Just before I could replie "Ahem, mind if I borrow the, young lad?" I looked up to see Gideon walking up to us, something akin to a polite smile strewn across his usually scowling face.

POV:Ráel

The party eventually came to an end after the bell rang for midnight, making it officially Ellies birthday. After more dancing, eating, drinking, and present-giving, the guests slowly started leaving, allowing the maids to finally start cleaning the ballroom

After Ellies birthday, my daily life had turned very repetitive after a few months it was time for us to join the academy.

The eventful day in the Dicathen Calendar, marking the day the first steam engine ship called the Dicatheous would set sail on a voyage to the other Continent, also marked another important day.

The Dicatheous was scheduled to set sail tomorrow, which was also the day both Elijah Arthur and I would start our first day of Xyrus Academy.
